The ad sends a powerful message. She's breaking down the walls of the box people put her in. Just like what Gabrielle did before she became Coco Chanel. She reinvented herself and wrote her own narrative. She may stumble in doing so, but she's not running from her self no more and ultimately achieved liberation. This is a departure from the usual perfume ads which is usual all visual and no substance, where you have a partially naked woman next to a bottle of perfume. With that said, this ad is substantial and artfully done with a spot-on egerie.
