I love the long format content, especially with that polisher. It is great background noise that makes me feel like I'm in my garage doing what I love to do, vs working my day job banging on a keyboard and talking to crabby contractors. For the newer detailers that want to get into doing things like one step paint enhancements, this is excellent for them to see a good and efficient way to do it in real time vs short little clips or time lapse videos. Considering what you started with, the car looks great. Yeah the paint is still swirled up, but you brought the shine and glow back to the paint...which is all that most people see. My RUPES cordless polishers have been great. The battery position takes some getting used to, but that is offset by the maneuverability afforded by the ergonomics, light weight and perfect balance. I tend to hold it by the grip and not the battery as it just feels more comfortable to me. Once you get used to it, the battery seems to be a non-issue. The smooth/quiet sound and lack of vibration means I can polish all day and not get beat up by the machine. I always laugh when people complain about RUPES or really any other polishers stalling, all that tells me is that they have a lot to learn when it comes to polishing paint and controlling the tool (or they use a gear-driven tool). Gear driven tools have their place, but so do random orbitals like the RUPES.
Hey Jeff good write up brother, 100% agree with everything you said, thank you btw and your feedback is super helpful. Like you mentioned the rupes cordless is so smooth, even compared to the MK3. Much more quiet actually don't need a headset to cover it up. I use the main grip on vertical panel for the most part but I get a better balance using the battery to keep a flat pad on some horizontal, my wrist can get in a awkward position sometimes with the grip. Anyways I have very little complain about it, no cord in the garage is life changing. ✌️
Bro I just wanted to say that you are legit lol. I love how you aren’t so technical with it and like you said, do what you want. There isn’t no correct way or by the book way like some others say. I wanted to spray the polish onto the paint like you did and I’ll do it next time haha. I do spray the pad too obviously. I’m currently doing my dad’s 2006 Rav 4 and the paint is pretty good as it was garaged for most of its life. Clear coat is still rocking even after 18 years. Question, when do you know when to switch to a new pad? Each panel? I’m using 1-2 pads and washing them with DIY rinseless each panel. Hope that’s fine.

It's also relatively affordable and would be a better option than trying to buy stuff at your local hardware store or auto parts store. DIY has really been knocking it out of the part lately with their products.
Great transformation. I like the idea of showing that not every detail has to be a show car quality. Do what the owner wants. I’m not that crazy about the long format video but I get that you wanted to prove in real time what could be done. Great video just the same. Keep it up my friend.

@@Detailing_Dogma Hmm from the top of my head? Doing a decon on a ceramic coated car with DIY Detail PSD towel and showing us hydrofobics before and after the clay towel (on a washed surface). I'm interested if the towel (wich i have but havent used it yet as my car is immaculate, but winter is coming you know...) won't change my coatings properties :) Cheers bro!

Hey brother, just swap as I go and clean them later, soak them good then wring them good and throw in washing machine. 2 panels a bad they dont get too clugged. CHeers
nice work and a good example for beginners👍 I think the polishing process would be more efficient using a DIY gold waffle pad. I can no longer find this pad in stock for two months in the 5inch size
Nice work! I love quick enhancement polish jobs like this as they can be highly profitable when you learn to sell the improvement. Listening to Chipmunk Frank at the end was a nice way to finish the video off as well lol.

you'd be surprise honestly, I cut a lot of stuff at the end of the polishing to make it quick but the swirls were reduced a very good amount, not the deep stuff obviously as expected. This wasnt a paint correction again. Cheers

For sure this kind of quick polishing restores some gloss BUT it doesn't reduce much of swirls.
