- Big thanks to Austin Clemens for taking us flying in the PT-17 Stearman! Austin is a unique pilot with already over 1000 hours of flight time at the age of 17. There couldn't be a more fitting place to fly in a Stearman than at Lloyd Stearman Field itself!

Do the colors of a pt-17 mean anything? Because there are some that are fully yellow and some that are yellow and blue as the one in the photo. I’ve also heard some say that maybe they mean something but I don’t know, they could be wrong.
I found on wikipedia that the yellow and blue paint job was the colors for the U.S. Navy! hopefully that helps
