This 1997 Honda Del Sol "TransTop" is a full build by Project Import and features a highly customized body with the JDM "Trans Top" grafted on to the rear of a USDM car. Under the hood is a built 2.0L B-Series engine with a Garrett Turbocharger making 260 WHP at the front wheels. It has a full track-spec suspension, a custom interior, and its an absolute riot to drive.

I hate when I get splinters checking the time.
I have a soft spot for Del Sol's from my grandfather's 96 S manual, he got it right at that age where I was just super excited about ANY car, and here was this little funky manual transmission thing with a lift-off roof and a sweet feeling cockpit, and I loved it. I loved that my grandfather loved it, when he otherwise suffered with depression...and how one day in his early 80s he told me about the time he got it up to 110 MPH with a twinkle in his eye.
these are the types of Honda that need more attention, not some high schoolers cambered junk with a fart can.
The Honda Transtop is the coolest convertible ever IMO, I wanted one as a kid just for the trans top.

This has to be one of my favorite one takes yet. Not much of a Honda guy but I had a Del Sol when I was younger and I have a soft spot for them.
These ads are almost more entertaining than the actual one takes sometimes. Just the anticipation of what new thing will pop up and what kind of pitch we'll get
Living in New Zealand we are spoilt for JDM imports, I'll always remember the first time I saw a Delsol with the electric top, a teacher at my high school had one and every day weather permitting she'd put the top down. They are so awesome!
FINALLY, i've owned two del sols now and love them to pieces, this was a treat for me, thanks Matt!
