- Hello everyone,
We are back with another awesome story and build. Sean picked up this Honda Del Sol from the previous owners for over ten years ago. The car has sat for the last decade and Sean made it a mission to refresh it. This Honda Del Sol has been hibernating and it is getting the love it deserves. I am super excited to learn the history of this build since it had been featured in magazines. We are prevailed and grateful to have featured this car. I would not mind featuring it ten years from now in this same exact specification. What a time capsule! #automotiveanatomy

So Nostalgic. I've had 2 of my own. Built the 2nd one. Truly a fun car and quite pleasing on the eyes 👀 I'll always have a special place in my heart for the Sol! ❤

I absolutely loved the concept of the Del Sol. Cheap, reliable, targa with storage, lots of trunk space bc of it and low key style.
Great looking car as well.
It’s an incredibly fun car that’s cheap to maintain. Best decision of my life picking one up, has become my daily driver

I bought my Sol from Noel as well and I’ve had the chance to chat with Sean a few times. Very down to earth guy, incredible attention to detail and a passionate enthusiast. Love to see his del Sol driving around and it’s recognition on this channel!

That car is Sol clean, I can Honda believe it! Will be installing trailimg arm bushings on my 93 this spring.
This motor is clean. The black valve cover, is clean. First one I've seen! It's different, it's nice touch

My captiva blue del sol 1993 was hibernating for almost 2 yrs. Finally got he motor and trans rebuilt. Now waiting for repaint same color captiva blue. Theres nothing like a clean del sol cruising with the targa top off and all windows down.
Wow, this is bringing back memories. I see a lot of old peeps from the Team Sol era. I still have mine as well. Mostly garaged and still looks good IMO. :)

I am an original owner of a 1997 Honda Del Sol Si . It has 221,000 miles. It is Cyprus green Pearl. It is in great shape and runs great.

Loved the interview. Gives me hope I'll be able to finally restore and build mine. Owned my 95 Del Sol VTEC for 21 years. Isle Green Pearl. Just haven't had the money and time over the years. But hanging in there for such an old car. Good on you for the JDM sun visors. Our USDM sun visors are awful.
Greddy EVO2 on mine. Too bad Greddy doesn't make exhausts for our cars anymore. I'd like to refresh the muffler - it's getting raspy from age.

Noel's del Sol was a big inspiration for me. I'm glad it's still on the road and in good hands. I got mine in 2000 and it's been in hibernation since 2005 (military + family).
What bumper do you have dude? I need to get one for mine haha
@@jakubkost7330It was a Mugen replica bumper by Vis Racing called a”Techno R”. They made two versions with and without the upper AUX/Fog lights.
Honestly giving me some solid motivation to keep going with mine; got a 96 UK ESi (Transtop, black interior, RHD in Paradise Bluegreen pearl). It's been out for about a year now having welding done due to rust here in the UK, but my donor car (JDM 92 SiR) will be giving it a healthy B16A swap soon, with a bunch of JDM trimmings to follow.
Awesome stuff, truly - I really like that spoiler too, shame they're so very expensive now being a discontinued Mugen piece.

Ground wire is not being grounded to engine. It’s on the valve cover which is then sealed with a rubber gasket on the head. I love when people do this.. lol

nice to see. Have an opportunity to get a 94 to fix up but wondering How much its gonna cost to get running and IF we will even be able to source parts. Been in garage last 10 yrs and the whiole clutch pedal inside is rusted! Worried about more rust damage. Its on 4 flat tires, ill fitted sound system with wiring hanging down inside under dash. Gaskets pulled loose from front windshield. Peeling front bumper. Not sure what it would cost to get her put together and running.
Does anyone know where to get some map lights??
