Nice, good to see more people tackling challenges like this.
- Something to say about terminologies, doing Boosteds while crouching requires different setup and behaves differently so I've been calling them Crouch Boosteds as a way to differentiate them.
- The speed and distance you get with Crouch Boosteds is dependant solely on the edge you're using and where/when you uppercut. The position you move doesn't matter so you can move alone the edge instead of away from it to make it more consistent. It also lets you more consistently go further which is more useful.
Some more stuff.
- You can technically get a standpoint around the cell on the island in Jungle, but it's not worth it lol.
- You can also get into LPC using a very good Crouch Boosted, but that's only worth going for if you have no other options. It's *really* hard to pull off.
- You can get the Power Cell in Dark Cave, the technique is quite funny though. If you go under the elevator it'll go down, and if you move far enough away it'll start to go up. You have enough time to go back onto it though which will bring you up to the Cell.
- The Pole jumping Powercell can be gotten by getting a Rocket Jump off of the bottom of one of the collapsing platforms. twitter.com/MartianBlobfish/status/1429212514500321283

Sentinel Beach, you can actually just blow up the pelican with the cannon at the top of the tower and it drops the power cell right on its island, no race required. Much less finicky way to do it.
The Klaw fight can be made easier (more cheesed) by getting as close to the left edge of the center platform as possible. It puts you outside the damage radius of the boulders hurled at you.
Spider cave pole jumping, I've seen it's possible to jump to the power cell that's there from the platforms leading to the top of the precursor robot, but I'm not sure how viable that would be in this ruleset.

I'm now seeing comments covering these thing mention, but the video still deserves the attention. Doing this kind of run only a month into first playing the game is absolutely insane. Kudos to you sir, and very well done!
Plot twist: Before the colorblind programmer at Vicarious Visions got his job there, he was the colorblind programmer at Naughty Dog, unfortunately he got fired and then he became the colorblind programmer at Traveller’s Tales!

I like that this run mixed careful budgeting with the creative gameplay found in your other challenge runs. That first-person hover exploit was absolutely wonderful, and new knowledge for me.
I found this channel through the Crash no spin runs. Man I gotta say you really give it your all with these and the videos themselves are super entertaining. After I binged the crash series I subscribed. Looking forward to your future runs!
I've saved his no spinning/charging runs into a custom playlist so I can play em on loop. Sometimes for background noise, sometimes to watch everything the colour blind Devs left for us to enjoy 😂
The "Super Dive Attack" is obviously a jump, the jump pads prove that.
If jumping off the ground after a ground-pound is legal, pulling yourself up off a ledge shouod be legal....
Nice attempt at this challenge but goooonna be honest. The Super Dive Attack is a jump, especially if you use it on the eco boost pads. Because you're not triggering the actual move in that case. Instead, you're just being put back to a crouch and then doing a normal jump right after, especially from what you showed in the video.
So ultimately, you did indeed jump in this case and you ended up failing the challenge at Forbidden Jungle.
Plus, as someone mention before, if you're allowing Super Dive Attack, then there's no reason why you cant allow climbing up in that case, since you're not exactly "jumping" either there. So whats allowed here is quite messy and i dont even think the mob knew about that too, nor were given a vote on if it would be allowed ALONG with Super Dive Attack in this case.
Great vid! I took on the challenge myself. I like that there were approaches to obstacles that I was unaware of myself👌
There were some cells still possible with these limitations, such as most of the LPC, but nonetheless good job still pulling through👍

Might do them eventually, but I need to finish them casually first
@@DrRankI haven't played them in quite some time but I do know some altitude based areas can be gotten to by fitting cars in places. That's all I've got as contribution.
Fun fact, there was a second way you could get the Pelican power cell, by simply aiming the canon at him (which you can use super dive attack to reach with the launch pads) and shooting a bomb that lands at his nest he will simply explode leaving the power cell in his nest for you to grab by reaching him the same way you did in the video.

On sentinel beach, you can fire the cannon at the pelican before or after its eaten the power cell, the payload blows it up and leaves the cell in the nest!

The higher jump after a dive should be illegal because you're literally using the x button to jump and gain more height! That isn't fair! T-T
So it isn't possible then because the super dive attack is just a dive attack with a jump at the end. The launch pads cannot be activated without jumping (pressing the x button).
Essentially this challenge is can you beat the game without pressing the jump button.
The answer is no.

I said a "jump" was anything that uses X to DIRECTLY give you height.
The Super Dive Attack uses X to INDIRECTLY give you height. It's like using the Jump button to bounce higher off enemies in Mario.

I've never played Rayman, but I'll definitely cover his DLC campaign in Sparks of Hope.
And Skylanders isn't high on my priority list right now, but I may do something with Giants eventually

@@ksavytv4164 As I said in the video, a "jump" is defined as an action that uses X to directly give you height ("directly" being the keyword, hence why the Super Dive Attack is legal).
The Crouching Uppercut gives you height, but is performed by pressing Square while crouching.
