We really have to thank this practicioner for creating a brilliant documentary with his teacher. Yi Chuan teaches to look at posture. When you look at the posture of the french student doing tui shou at the beggining you can see he is trying dilligently to learn from the teacher, but that he didn't learn the fundamentals when he was young. Many of us are like that. These documentaries of the old masters are worth more than the many of the neijia quan books. 1:20 ish the master speaks. Something along the lines of calligraphy and Yi Chuan are both arts of the "Shen and Yi". Brilliant.
These are some chosen extract that I took from a Dutch documentary about martial art, it’s not the work of the late Jan Kallenbach (he was Dutch, not French), who had been a karate champion, a famous kyokushikai karate practitioner, student of Oyama himself and, later, of Kenichi Sawai. He moved on from Taikiken to Yiquan, studying under master Li jianyu and we can see him in that documentary visiting Cui ruibin in his school.

Salut Emmanuel, Merci pour le partage de cette video. Cela fait plaisir de revoir Me Li et de voir des images de mon ecole qui date bien de... 15 ans au moins. Un document precieux (et de bonne qualité). J'aurais moi meme des videos de Me Li a partager avec toi si cela t'interesse. (meme si la qualité VHS est bien moindre)
Michel Tournerie bonjour Michel, avec grand plaisir, je manque moi même cruellement de souvenir filmés, les caméras n’étaient pas légions à l’époque et tout le monde n’avait pas un appareil photo / caméra dans la poche en permanence comme aujourd’hui !

Lechatnoir Yes, she told me the story : She said she did fight with red guards who wanted to take and burn all her father’s books. She was alone against 4 or 5 and they finally took her down and broke her knee with a riffle butt...

Foyepolomi ce n’est pas ce qui semble être du racisme ici. Maître Li jianyu m’a donné la même réponse qu’à Mr Kallenbach quand je lui ai demandé de m’enseigner cette tradition et il m’a expliqué qu’il s’agissait d’une raison plus profonde...

Master Lam taught energy healing. 5 elements. Very interesting. Maybe master Li is referring to the same thing. He also taught how to use different postures and finger positions for healing and we saw him use an energy field from standing to heal ppl.
UA-camr Besides Yiquan master Li Jianyu had been inheriting a zhuyouke (祝由科) tradition ( shamanic / incantation healing technique) from a Daoist master named Tian jingbo. It was Wang xiangzhai that introduced him to the old man who took Li jianyu as his unique disciple in 1946. It’s this tradition that he said he could not transmit. Master Li jianyu healed some persons with cancer in an early stage with his zhuyouke. I personally witnessed him once...
@@Manuyiquan Sounds good. Lam manipulates energy and uses sound too. We saw a handicapped man come in a wheelchair then walk out after we helped him. Prof Yu and his students also cured cancer, impotence etc. Zhan zhuang is very powerful. LiJianYu was right to refuse to teacher people. That stuff can be dangerous and teachers tended to only teach the real stuff to people they trusted or not.
