I'm a huge fan Aaron, but I have to disagree with 2 things on here. Black suits are versatile and as long as the fit is tailored then it is a classic piece in a wardrobe. White denim with a button up shirt in the summer gives you that Miami vibe which can make you look classy and rich 😎
It's ok to disagree with him. We don't have to blindly do everything he says like it's the word of God. He's giving us his informed opinion and it's up to us to be our own people and do what we like with that information.
Black Suits are the Ultimate go-to for introverts!!! Yes it places us out of the mainstream and “different” because we are. Women check you out first with a “what is with this guy?!” followed by a curious “I want to find out what’s going on with this guy!” Black suit is our uniform, if you ain’t down- I don’t care.
Overall, pretty good video. The only thing I kind of disagree with is your first point about black suits now in my opinion unless you’re Kevin O’Leary, and that’s his signature suit. Plus, if you don’t wear it all the time I say at most once or twice a week we’re even less than that if you have plenty of suits, no problem.
Great advices overall though the price for most are very costly. If men work on their physical body, they can make cheap clothes look good (depending of course)
I think it's time to recognize that Alpha's approach to fashion is generic and simplistic. He dresses like Stock Images of 'well dressed handsome man' and that's it. The ultimate fashion NPC. There's no authenticity, no swag and no innovation whatsoever. Fashion is about taking risks, being unique, and most importantly: Expressing yourself through your clothing. There's nothing wrong about playing around with different styles, fabrics, proportions and shapes. I've followed this channel for many, many years and only recently I've realized that it's been holding me back. I was dressing way older than I really am, and feeling like something was missing whenever I looked in the mirror. Now I'm trying to spice things up and dress well beyond surface level 'good practices' pushed by Aaron and guys like Real Men Real Style. I've been doing actual research on fashion and trends, and I was lucky to come across content creators such as Frugal Aesthetic or Tim Dessaint. If you guys feel like me, you should totally check them out!
When #1 came up I thought: Are you mental? There is no man on Earth that doesn't look better in a black suit - at least if it is a black suit made of good fabric and tailored to fit the person wearing it. However, I can wholeheartedly agree on the other eleven mistakes you stated. Especially the ones with shoes, belts and jeans. Given the fact that men have a much easier time to dress well than women, I always wonder why most dudes are wearing horrible stuff or have such a bad style. On the other hand: it makes it way easier to shine. By the way: Mistake #13 is not taking care of your body shape and appearance. Some sport, a daily shower, every other day a decent shave and a little bit of grooming are quintessential. No style on Earth will save you from being careless with your general appearance.
Lint, fur, hair, sweater balls, and dirty, unshined shoes are a Big pet peeve of mine. You don't have to have a shit ton of money to dress nice and be clean. You can dress presentably with 2nd hand, gently worn clothes, a sweater ball shaver (cost a couple bucks) a lint brush, or Tape; some good ol water, soap, and a simple shoe shine kit to keep your shoes tidy. My mother gave me that advice when I was a teen. She said ladies "judged" men by their shoes and they do. There is No excuse for not looking your best at all times, especially going to the grocery store. You never know who you're going to run into or meet. Those are tips from my father. Both my parents are, were very attractive and believed in presenting themselves for "themselves" and the world at their finest. Great video Alpha. 2:41 of the video I couldn't help but shake my head, there's a hair on your sweater, left shoulder. Alpha this is coming from a man that has multiple lint brushes and also carries one in his car. #petpeeve Say NO to hair and lint on clothes! No fabric balls on sweaters, beanies, or towels (LOL) Angel from The Bay
I have 1 issue here as sexy as I do look, bloody dogs hairs are frustrating on black. I use gaffer/duck tape to get as much off and those brushes suck so much comapred to tape. And sometimes I'm leaving my dogs want a cuddle ( they take me to a spot where they do it ) super cute and I can't help it 😂 but I'm happy married so I'm not trying to impress anyone anymore I love my wife and we love our animals and kids so I've won no matter how I look. But I still try look as clean as possible. Plus shoes trainers I have 46 pairs and apart from two the sole is wearing down but they my Nike that I wear to walk the dogs. White wolf shepherd's. Glasses are a necessity and expensive and unless your wearing contacts it sort of becomes a challenge to keep up to date on glasses. Wire rims or plastic rims, in all the shapes have their pros and cons, that's why I opt for wire aviators because it's a classic. Moving on, I'm 60 and I'm stuck in the 1970's, so your picking on big belt buckles and tight jeans which is a no-no in my opinion. I still wear brass belt buckles with tight jeans and show off my package, this was once a very popular style, though I don't wear a wife beater shirt out in public. So though I agree with some of your opinions I don't have to on everything.
Great video! I don't know how I missed this one. Hey, what fanny pack do you recommend, since we're not supposed to keep anything in our pockets? I have a place to live so I have keys, and of course, I have credit and debit cards and money to pay for these expensive items. Thanks!!
The black suit is closely associated with a corporate environment. john wick wears black because he is working. Nobody said it's ugly, but the message you're going to send is to be of service.
Mmm.... Not sure i agree with this list. Suits should complement your form regardless of colour or shade. If it's too large or small it'll look crappy. Your belt doesn't always need to match your shoes (but it's a good rough guide if someone really doesn't know how to accessorise). Distressed and skinny jeans look great on some people and horrendous on others, but i do agree that baggy 90s mum jeans and oversized sweaters generally look awful. Polo shirts are like a style black hole, and almost always look dated and horrible, unless you've got the body shape to fill it out. Tanktops are something i don't mind at all, regardless of colour. It's more important that the colour either balances or contrasts well with your skin tone. Again, your body composition will make or break the look. Huge agree on Tshirts needing to show some tricep! It can do wonders. I also agree with clean shoes, especially if they're trainer style.I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about watches, bangles or casual (but fitted/slimfit) shirts. Get to the gym guys. A lot of these style "mistakes" are partially remedied by having a decent baseline to work with in terms of physique.
Imagine there's sunshine out there and you go with a black polo😳... Nothing against the brand, but this shiny black polo makes you pale. The example guy at 4:20 is really cool with the white longarm polo & light blue trousers👌

A black suit? I guess you have forgotten that a black suit is timeless. Well new money forgets what is timeless.
