Loz, the best thing you ever did on this channel was to get Liz in front of the camera with you. I tried watching another results show on UA-cam and it was a snooze fest, I had to switch off. Your knowledge, insight, personalities, chemistry and production value are second to none. Thank you both for all that you do!

Not until they completely die out and no athletes even bother to attend. The Arnold, Shaw Classic, and other international comps are way more accessible, with far better entertainment value. Unfortunate, but true
WSM organizers are idiots for not live streaming this. I would have paid for it, for sure. Now I'm going to know the results before ever watching, which will make me less interested in watching at all..
They make bullshit money with their model. Any decent producer could make the event livestream great. I have to believe there are old men who dont understand the internet in charge.
@@letsgojake.4078 how many people do you seriously think would be willing to pay any decent money to watch this live? The shaw classic managed just over 10000 at around €2. Even the free shows don't get a lot of viewers.
@@daveaglasgow I would argue we're still in the early days. They'll inevitably transfer over to that format.
They should do both, all of us dedicated fans would watch for sure, which we'll know the results right away anyway. Which means most of us won't watch it on TV, which we should be their target audience. Then show it later on TV, won't lose any viewership, charts show their personal viewership are incidental viewers not fans. So they could have both, now they get half
@@daveaglasgow If it was marketed properly, then after a few years... probably a few hundred thousand at least. I could imagine Eddie Hearn promoting this, running the events 100 times better, bringing on Loz as commentator and letting him pick the commentating team, and then sticking it on DAZN since we have contestants emerging from around the globe. We'd have more events, A LOT more prize money, live streams of every event. This sport could be as profitable, successful, and global, as the likes of Darts or F1 if placed in the right hands.
No livestream is making it hard for the great sport of strongman to grow
No livestream can only mean that the owners and promotors of WSM are in it for the MONEY. AND they are unwilling to share any part of the profits. Even if its at the cost of the fans.
It comes down primarily to a crap contract with espn. Every strongman fan needs to flood their office with complaints. They can’t ignore us forever!! Mwahaha 😈

Livestream? Welcome to the most boring sport yet. Just out of curiosity, what are your plans for the hours between events? I think I'll rebuild my cars engine before the 'medley' kicks off..Then paint the house while waiting for the deadlift. Hey, why not some concurrent activity and let the paint dry while I mow the lawns and trim the hedges, whilst waiting for the final event of 3 men competing in the middle finger, cause the rest have had to withdraw due to injury. PPV Livestream all day/s !

Last year he noted his fatal mistake was not being athletic enough and this years he focused a lot more on that and conditioning. Should be a fun WSM.
@@cheezeofages he’s been saying that for a couple of years and keeps doing the same thing. He drops down to like 380lbs, works on his movement then obviously panics he’s lost too much strength then comes in to the comp at like 420lbs and places terribly in the moving events. Hopefully he’s hit the sweet spot this year.

How many other sporting events, or even strongman competitions, have such a high injury rate, after just two events? WSM is characterized by long delays between events, rushed warmups, and apparently this year, ridiculously large barrels (cue bicep tears for guys with shorter arms). We're used to WSM not caring about its fans; it doesn't seem to care about its athletes either.
Yep, I think what the sport needs is another competition to take over from WSM as they clearly need to up their game.
It isn't just the WSM. Strongman is dangerous, and I would wager powerlifting has a similar attrition rate. It's a consequence of pushing what body tissue can physically withstand.
No other sports goal is to literally push the body past the human limit.. it's just part of the sport.

WSM has always been an Ill conceived death trap. When was the last time you saw WSM or the Arnold and like 3 people didn't have to forfeit due to injury? At this point the competitors basically have to raise money for themselves for the most part anyway, idk why people like Brian and Thor don't just start making their own promotions. More people watch Brian's channel than watch WSM anyway

This is probably the absolute best channel I have found regarding WSM info and results 👍... Very well done all the way from production value to explaining the events and the competitors, as well as the breakdown of results and all other pertinent information... Thank you for taking the time and putting the effort into making this exceptional video, as all others I’ve found on this don’t come remotely close to this video with all of the above mentioned... Please keep posting and giving the updates as often as you see proper to keep us informed... Thanks again for an outstanding and informative video!!
You said the same as me but more eloquently. This channel is so much more professional and watchable than some of the others that have cropped up doing the same thing.

Tom coming out with full points on the deadlift is massive, that was his most worrying event for me. And with luke coming in with points as well is a dream come true.
Really surprised to hear about Novikov.....I thought he was going to walk away with this competition. However, I am ecstatic for Brian Shaw! I definitely want to see him win #5.

I was looking forward to WSM for ages and I found someone before you who was just 9 mins but insanely boring and I skipped to results. I can never give ya'll enough credit for how exciting you make the sport and the enthusiasm with which ya'll present. Great job!

I too paid the $2.99 for the WSM/Facebook daily updates. Last year I thought it was barely worth it. This year, I watched your presentation first and then later the WSM/Facebook recap. And I'll have to say, not only did I waste $2.99 but also 45 minutes watching it. Your presentation and analysis here is far superior and enjoyable to watch than theirs. Next year I'll save the $2.99. Great job as always Loz & Liz.

Thanks for doing this! This is my favorite strongman channel because you guys are always respectful to the athletes, while telling it straight.
I avoided results all day long because I knew this video would be coming out tonight haha. It wasn't easy I'll tell you
I just look at the Google Doc until I know all of the results, and then watch their video.
@@a-a-rondavis9438 yea I just don't really wanna get results by reading a spreadsheet. Takes the fun out of it a bit. I know loz and liz are just reading off the sheet but it's a much better presentation than just numbers on a screen.
@@JaredTG. Agreed, this gives a bit of the theatrics of actually watching a comp as opposed to just seeing the raw data. It’s like listening to a boxing match on the radio, still has some excitement to it 😄
