Looking forward to your stitchy summer break. I’m stitching Christmas in July. In fact, I’m preparing for a Christmas in July retreat here in North Texas at the end of July. This will be my first small retreat AND overnight. I feel like a little girl afraid to stay at overnight camp. I’m sure it will be lovely and I won’t be afraid of all things that go bump in the night. I’m even hoping to have time to bake a batch of Christmas sugar cookies for the retreaters. I hope to stitch at a retreat in the UK someday. My stitchy friends here go to some of Nicola’s sampler retreats in England. Lucky girls. Happy stitching! Love your videos.

Love the berries! Lately I've been swapping out flosses for some of the silks and overdyes that I have in my stash as well! Even if I already had the called for DMC. Otherwise those pretties just sit in my stash and never get used. Kinda makes it fun to see what I've got and watch how it changes or enhances the pattern! Great video! Have a great week!

Michelle you might have heard that Nicola Parkman from hands across the sea sampler is doing a small free sampler class on her flosstube channel and one of the last stitch is a Turkey stitch. I’m having fun doing this sampler and trying out new stitchers I have never done before.
I hope you don’t mind me posting you about this.

Great video thank you Michelle. We have a Sostrene Green shop in Bangor, Co Down. Funnily enough it’s at the top of Main Street opposite the Post Office and near the train station! I love it too - full of random bits and bobs.

Ooohhhh there is Sostrene Grene shop in Chester. I don't go into Chester very often but that is one I will always visit when I go. They do great Christmas Dec's too - quite vintagey and muted so you must pay one a visit then too! Their craft section sometimes throws out some real treasures! See you in a couple of weeks at TBS!!! Xxx

Omg, I live in Gloucester and no idea that Sostrene Grene was now in Cheltenham. I had to do my SG shopping when I was visiting my son in Leamington when he was at Warwick Uni campus but he’s just completed his PhD so I was thinking well that’s that, no more SG for me. Guess where I’m off to this week. Karen x

Hi - its charted as pocus/hocus so that when you sew it together it reads hocus pocus across the seam. It takes a while to get your head round it!
