Hello there! A busy episode. While we are working on the sub floor, we decided to add locker spaces in the Galley so that we can store things in a ‘cold storage’ space below the water line. We saw the idea on a few boats we looked at, so decided we may as well prep the sub floor so that we can add lockers later. It was Romas' birthday - see if you can guess what age - and the school holidays so spent a little time with family.

I’m going to use hardwood with some rubber feet to lift it off the baseplate. Varnished with many many coats 😂
@@messinaboutwithanarrowboat thanks for the reply, we looked at this when we had our boat built but decided against it mainly as the funds to have it done were better off being spent on something else. We would have had the builder making them so Labour on top etc.
It could be possible to retrofit depending on how the sub floor and joists have been laid. Basically it would be a hole in the floor you can drop a box into but would need to make sure there is some kind of lip for the flooring to sit on.
Look after your knees, they cost £16,000 each to replace!
Don’t worry, I take lots of knee breaks 😁
