Continuing with DC 12v wiring, all the lighting circuits are complete and we turn our attention to wiring the Services such as Tunnel Light.
Caldwell Windows team came to visit to sort out our leaking window.

Have you checked the cabintop steel flatness around the leaking porthole with a builders or brickies straight edge? When you do make progress with the porthole sealing I suggest doing a final stress test with a lawn sprinkler running for hours.

Thanks. It turns out there were 2 problems. A manufacturing issue with an incomplete seal on the inside lip AND and incomplete sealant on the outside top. However, it was suggested that the sealant came away at a weak spot when the boat heated up an created a 'hairline crack' in the sealant. A new application of sealant fixed both issues. So as you say, checking the flatness at the top. Only found it by letting a razor edge find its way it. It was pretty obvious once we found it.

Re. the placement of the switch panel, I suggest all but the horn switch should be inside mounted near the electrical cabinet. Seconds count at bends so the horn switch needs to be within reach of the helm, this assumes the horn switch shown in the video is the "honk" button.

Thanks. Was thinking that but want the bilge pump switch handy so I can press and hold the manual momentary switch. Probably best inside where its reachable though.

would have thought the boat builder who fitted the windows has to make them good. Its for them to contact Caldwells if there is an issue with the manufacture.

That’s what I thought, but Caldwells were happy to come out. Still looks like a manufacturing fault rather than fitting fault. Maybe that’s why they are not quibbling.
