It is hard to believe how much you have put into this project, and the most amazing thing is that you are still talking to each other! The stresses of what you are undertaking must have been way more than you anticipated but watching this video just shows how far you gave come. I hope that the hull situation is remedied soon and we can see you back on the water and beavering away to completion. Total admiration.😊
Thank you Ian! Such a lovely comment to read :) I think our slower approach to getting the project complete helps with tolerating each other's mood swings and stresses from the build haha! Thank you for watching!
Amazing transformation,it’s been hard work but you’re still speaking to each other, amazing teamwork. Looking forward to seeing more of your journey together on the waterways. xxxx
Hey Shirley! Thank you for watching! It's a slow journey but that's probably how we're still speaking to each other haha. Getting it done little by little :)
Thank you Sally! It's been really lovely watching the videos back to make this vlog! Looking forward to being back on the boat once the paint work is finished to crack on with the rest of the jobs 🙂
Slowly starting with a boat builder atm, all fun & games. Following on from your dodgy paint video I was shocked how many builders dont offer grit blasting colecraft told me they almost never do it! I’m going with a Nottingham company but bare shell only I think! So many decisions
There are lot of decisions to make, even before you consider planning out your interior. One thing I would suggest is speaking to a surveyor... If we do this again we'd like to find someone who would be happy to oversee the build process. They will basically check in every now and again with builders 🙂 It's an extra peace of mind!
We are having our hybrid fitted out. We looked at the lynch motors but alas they weren’t interested in supplying us, shame we liked it. Can’t wait to see its completion. You’ve done a fantastic job. Big congratulations for all your hard work 🍾
Hey Marianne! Thank you so much for watching. It's honestly a long, slow process but we are getting there. I've been impressed with the lynch motor so it's a shame they weren't able to help you out! Who have you gone for instead? Jack
@@thistinylife we have a hybrid marine set up. Should have 2kw of solar too. Hubbies an electrician and we've been running the house on solar and batteries now for 18 months hardly using mains electric. Keep up good work it looks lovely
Loving this. So what I’d love to do tho I’m no good at diy so it would be built lol. You are soooo talented and make look soooooo easy. Every best wish. ❤
Thanks for this video👍. Can I ask if you put insulation under the floorboards please? I saw another channel do it. it's just that my daughter and partner are doing their first boat and some of the floor is down. 🤗
Hey there! This'll be the speediest reply i've ever done haha. We didn't put any insulation under the floorboards. I'd worry about sacrificing too much of the headroom and there might be issues with ventilation too. On our previous boat we did do a basic underlay using wood fibreboard which offered a bit of heat retention but it was more to stop creaky boards! What option have they gone for? Are they enjoying their project?
We would probably have made the study area a little bigger, the plan was for that to double up as a little ones room in the long run, an extra couple of feet would have helped but the layout will be ok as is 🙂
Hey. Luv your vlogs. What type of timber did you do for your ceiling please? And, did you spray fosm ypur indulayion yourselves? I have spent a lot of time watching your vuds enchanting.
You've done amazing things with your empty shell, the boat is starting to come alive.💚
Thank you Sheila! She's getting there, can't wait to be back on board once the paint job has been finished

You are definitely getting there! It’s been fun watching.
Thank you! It's a long old road but we're getting there :)
Gosh, seeing all the progress put together like this really shows how far you’ve come. You’re doing so well - now to get it finished!! 😊
That's the plan! We still have a few weeks till the boat's out of the paint shed so making the most of it by spending time with friends :)

You are both amazing! 😊
Oh thank you! It's funny looking back at it all, its too easy to forget how much we've done!
Great job.
Next time you referbish maybe you should adopt the Japanese style where all the walls are made of paper 😎😎😎
Not sure how that would hold up behind the fire!
Oh, how I remember The Stove…!
I guess you will see how well the solar panels work in the hot Winter British sun, eh…?
Haha the weather has been ideal for testing them out hasn't it!
Just noticed this brilliant well done to both of you.
Looking Good !
Thank you!
Great work well done 😊lovely video 😊thank you
Thanks Rick 🙏

We started this without having done much DIY so you could do it!! Just takes a LOT of perseverance 😅 thank you 🙏

He in his element, my daughter not so much lol. I live 4/5 hrs away and I can't wait to see what they've done in three weeks😃. Take care🤗
Now that you are expecting a baby do you think you would have planned a different layout for your boat before you started fitting it?
