@@Michigan_Spyglasses you didn't actually watch then. The refs certainly let a few go on Texas as well but the Bama o line was insanely holding on every single pass play. Dudes were having to put their jerseys and pads back after every snap.

A very impressive game call by Sark..The quick release of the ball from Ewers was perfect and I don't believe he got sacked the whole entire game. That was a big relief because that Bama defense is stout. We need to establish a better running game. Anyway, nice preparation all around. On to the next game. Hook'Em

Great to see Ewers and Worthy getting their chemistry back. Big takeway was that Ewers needed to spread the ball out. He finally used Mitchell as another deep ball threat, and used Sanders for big plays in the middle of the field. Even used Whittington a few times who also played well.
Big takeaway should be the defensive line. They brought insane pressure the whole game

However if I'm a player on that Alabama team I post that comment on every place I go. So no one forgets what was said by him after that game. Unlike Georgia, Alabama has a schedule is full of landmines in their way if they expect to make playoffs. Now they need to run the rest of their schedule and win the SEC TITLE GAME to make the four team playoff. So now the loser out of LSU vs Alabama will be eliminated from playoffs contention 😅
That’s great for college football. Texas and FSU just guaranteed that only one SEC team will be in the 4 team playoff this year. The loser of LSU/Bama will very likely lose to UGA in the SEC title game. That means both teams will have two losses and will be eliminated from playoff contention.

Players start getting paid now every team has a fair chance to recruit. Bama been paying players for years. Looks wayyyy more competitive now that every school is doing it.
If you think college footballs "pay for play" is going to make every team have a chance now, you are mistaken. Teams with massive money will benefit. Teams like Texas can now buy players and get closer to teams like Alabama and Georgia who have cheated more in the past and who recruit better because of recent on field performance. No doubt it helps Texas (and should help that Aggie school). However, it makes schools without fanbases with massive money have less chance of competing. The Transfer Portal will help level the field across teams, but NIL is just going to give the rich schools an even bigger advantage. NIL was not supposed to be pay for play, but that is exactly what it is.

I’m a LSU fan and I was pulling hard for the Longhorns to beat Bama. I had a feeling Texas could win this game and they did. Texas should have scored 44 points since Ewers had a touchdown pass that went incomplete around 4 minutes left in the 1st quarter and they had to go for 3 points and that kicker could have made that field goal that he didn’t miss later on in the game.
If they can’t knock the quarterback out of the game Alabama can’t beat Texas
