TThank u for posting the vid i turned on xtreme 4x4 an missed the good stuff so i got on utube an see this first thing :) iv watched every min of it ..nice trails
You are right about the King shocks, with the double setup it is really made for high speed runs or jumping, I have the stock 3.8 V6 and don't have the power to climb sand dunes or jump. When I bought them I wanted to get it because I didnt want to redo it later if I decided I wanted a hemi or to do something like catching air. If I had to do it again I would go with the single coilover, the extra shock is completely unecessary for what I do.
I would love a Warn Winch at the time it was a cost issue, now I really don't get stuck, and have never needed the winch for myself. It will do for now... when it doesn't work anymore I will upgrade. I love the XJ's, thinking about getting one, I just haven't been out with that group in a little while.
There are two main lifts in the video. Off road evolution, King shocks, dynatrac dana 60 axles and goodyear MTR 40 by13.5 tires. The Teraflex Jeeps have Teraflex 6 inch LCG, Teraflex Dana 60 axles ( to hold up to the larger tires) and 40 inch MTR tires. One of the black JKs with the teraflex lift has 38.5 by 14.5 MTR tires with sleeved/gussets on Stock Dana 44 axles. Tand T Customs in Wyoming or OFF Road Evolution in California, or Teraflex in Utah are all good sources of info.
the black jk four door... i know thats evos rear tire carrier but is that also the evo corner armor and evo rear fenders? the corners and fenders look like psc to me but i could be wrong. also, AWESOME vid. thoroughly enjoyed it. :-)
Thanks for watching. GenRight aluminum bumpers/tire carrier and fender flares. Dynatrac Pro Rock 60 Axles, Evo front and rear suspension/lift, King shocks from Evo. Poison spider rock sliders and corner armor. Smittybilt winch, Warn Lights.
Having them on the softer setting is like having no dumper at all. The spring/coil would bounce up and down. You need the dumper in order to absorb the energy of the impact without letting the spring bounce. I could not possibly help you from internet fine tune your setup but the basic idea is to use the softer you can get without letting the coil incontrollable bouncing the car or the axle up and down.
i saw great suspension setups but it seemed in the first part that no one has done a fine tuning... seems like a heavier dumper setting would help a lot.
I just read online about how to adjust the compression and rebound...I really don't know what I am doing with the shocks and would love some help getting it right. I basically have them on the softest settings.
question... who brought the port-a-potty? I didn't see it... ;) what motors are we talking? sounds like they are all autos... how much harder is it in a stick? Whats the spects on the (only) zuk?
nice is pretty much ill i can say why do you need such crazy shock setups the kings with the coils would be good enough our is the piggy back crazy setup thing for high speed romps our something if so lets see some jeeps catching air i think the new jks are awsome but i have a xj never see any in your vids one other question is that a smitybuilt winch on the one jk if so what you think they seem nice our should you just drop the cash and go for the warn keep vids coming dont forget xjs
Hey bud i just read your reply back thanks for the help that's awesome you are thinking about an xj there cheaper than your Jeep i just bought one for 550 lift and lockers i stole it lockers are the lock rights you our your buddies use them ever the lock rights

Thanks Del, and thanks for all you do.

I did Double Sammy a couple years ago for Winter on the Rocks. I don't remember that first obstacle. That's a pretty serious trail.

I have a small dynomax muffler under the driver side rear passenger seat and an AFE air filter, these combined create the different tone.
You would be welcome, we had a samurai with us that day, he was just further behind in the group so we had no video of him
