    love your work! the really cool tip is the lock layer transparency to mask the critter so you can apply additional. highlights, shadows, and textures w/o overshooting the line art and it's integrity. Have you tried replicating the mask onto new layers so that as you do additive processes, the previous layer remains as it was? Also you can do adjustments to layers for transparency such as multiply.

    I've been trying to only use vector so I can enlarge without any problems, but I notice differences in what pixel vs. vector can do. Do you know where a list is of those differences. I'm writing a graphic memoir using photos, but fresco to draw the other characters besides my mother and myself, so I want them vector to put into InDesign. Any advice? :)

    Why did you paint the creature by hand instead of just use the full tool like you did the background? Made no sense.
