Update: high resolution, layered Photoshop files can now be exported in the free version of Fresco. To put it simply, Adobe is now giving a way a fully featured, professional drawing application for free. No strings.
I want Fresco SO badly I'm now going back to Macs after leaving a while back. With the current tech, Adobe Suite and a decent tablet, and it's a whole new world.🎉
He artwork is really talking to watch, and i can listen to her talking the whole day. She can make a meditation drawing session I think.

I'm an illustrator and designer. I don't think monthly fees for software is a sustainable model. That said, I REALLY wish Procreate allowed me to create scalable vector art. That's is a huge time saver when creating assets.
Eric Torres All you have to do is charge people money for the work you create. Make your customers pay for the software.
@@JohnCovington5 Yeah definitely makes the most business sense to do that. And I think Adobe's software is expensive, but it's the cost of using industry standard tools.

Love the app but still making it a subscription is a mistake for iPad users. Adobe is really hungry for their money. Too bad because this app was a great experience. I'll go back to procreate!

@@kyletwebster Thank you for this information! What are those limitations? I've tried to research what features I'll be missing if I continue to use it for free after 6 months but I haven't found anything, which is quite frustrating to be honest. There is no info on Adobe's website that actually sheds light on the differences between the premium and limited free version. I wish they were more transparent with this.
you can use artrage if you want natural watercolor feel

I am using the free version of Adobe Fresco with limited but essential brushes . Loving the experience so far although I really hope they reduce the price or make it otp. Would definitely upgrade then!!

I just got into traditional painting because I don't particularly like the look and feel of most digital art, I've been waiting for this app to come out for weeks now, hopefully it's the game changer I think it will be
You should probably look at Rebelle. That's definitely much closer to being a game changer.
This is not a "game changer"... LOL... inferior to procreate and rebelle in many ways... not to mention - it will cost you $120 a year to RENT!

Oil paint and watercolor brushes are both interesting but at $120 a year I stick to Procreate.
You can use the oil and watercolor brushes for free!
Is this only for iPad?
No it’s part of the Adobe CC Suite
So it’s available on Desktop and other devices too
It's currently only on iPad but will be coming for other platforms soon!

Procreate and artstudio pro still better..and this is 9.99 a month?? for an inferior product to those big 2 that are one time purchase for 10$ and 12$..yeahh...that's not cutting it for me..pass.
I am just gonna wait for the full photoshop app ...and see what pricing they offer on that...
In many aspects they are, but nothing beats Fresco’s live brushes. Let’s see if Procreate 5 delivers a similar experience

you're wildly incorrect. it's free to use w/o some of the brushes and no storage space. if you subscribe to CC photoshop, for $10/mo, you get all the fresco brushes plus a bunch of storage space. this is an app aimed at professionals who bill $100/hour.
Marc Cardwell procreate and art studio pro is used by many pro artists too. And one time payment with everything unlocked... has more feature, and constantly gets more feature. For instant procreate 5 will have better animation tool, better brush engine, etc.. for what it is..it is not worth the price. When they bring in the full fledged photoshop they being teasing than there maybe that would be worth...arguably. But for now Fresco is a rip off...unless u already have an adobe subscription going on for your windows or mac softwares than its a nice for the go tool add on.

Not a single stroke or opacity adjustment or layer or watercolor blob you painted could not have been done with the fantastic Procreate app and iPencil on an iPad Pro for years now. It’s not like the exact same capabilities weren’t available before - without Adobe’s disgusting rent-an-app scheme. Fresco is competent, but I’ll never sign up for their monthly pay scam.
Live brushes are really great but demanding 10 dollars each month to use it, which in my opinion is the ONLY advantage over procreate while all other areas are simply inferior or equal, is totally mad.
This type of greediness and insulation from the habits and realities of your target audience is very off putting for a company culturally. It is either being completely out of touch or just insiduously greedy.
I purchased creative cloud and switched to clip studio and procreate after only two months because you'd need a professional's workflow to ever justify the cost.
Who at Adobe actually believes that fresco is, every year, 12 times the value of procreate? xD
