The population of the US is approximately 330 million. Approximately 1 in 3 of us are gun owners. Collectively we own more guns than there are people. Estimates say we have a trillion rounds of ammunition. Even if 10% of gun owners fought against an invading force that would be 10 million with a nearly limitless supply of arms and ammunition.
The fact that so many people in the U.S. have guns isn’t really a good thing when those guns are basically unregulated compared to the rest of the developed first world.
There are over 750,000 amateur radio operators in the U.S.A. This forms a huge communication network. Even if regular communications (landline telephones, cellular telephones, internet) went out, the "hams" could still co-ordinate defense operations.
Yes and no. I know nothing about HAM radios but I would imagine the minimal or complete lack of encryption would make relaying battlefield information risky at best.
Remember a country's people don't have to like there government to defend their country. We the people will stand on our feet fighting, before dying to our enemies. It's not just our current military or even potential military force, it's our veterans and 80% of civilians who are armed as well.

Well the cities on the coast have gigantic populations and the central and southern cities have stockpiles of guns. There is more people in California and New York alone then the total for some countries entire populations. Cali has 40 Million people, in a single state. And on the original Eisenhower interstates, 1 mile in 5 had to be straight so it could be uses as an emergency airstrip in case of war. That's not the case anymore, but the old, straighter interstates are still scattered around the country.

I saw a similar video on another channel. Here is one thing to consider. The state where I live, Wisconsin, had over 600,000 registered hunters a couple of years ago. At the time, when all these people were carrying arms, they were the 7th or 8th largest army in the world. And that is just one state. Plus, these are trained hunters, not just some conscript. They practice their marksmanship and know how to take care of their weapons. An invasion of the United States would be horrific for the country/countries attempting it.
True, the citizens might not be the military, however we are trained. My cousin is in the JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps) and we are not part of the military. Stay safe, NZ Family and belated Valentine's Day!
I live in South Carolina . Our coast is lined by beaches , and beyond them the Low Country consists one third of the state and is swampy . A lot of South Carolina people own guns . USMC Recruit Depot in Parris Island South Carolina turns civilians into Marines in a few weeks . It was chosen for it's brutal weather conditions and lack of access to the mainland . I wasn't a Marine , but my first command in the US Navy was a warship stationed in Charleston SC .
And that's not even including all the people who just shoot for fun at gun ranges or at targets in the woods, a lot of people are introduced to guns in their childhood/teenage years here and have a decent amount of experience with them like hell the gun range near me had a kids shoot free program where they supplied 22 ammo and guns for kids to use with their parents there and I definitely saw a couple people from school there and the youngest kid was like 8-10 and was already an amazing shot
@@noodlelynoodle. My first ' gun ' was a Red Ryder BB gun that I was given at the age of six . My second gun was a single shot 20 gauge shotgun at the age of thirteen . I was allowed to shoot my grandpa's Winchester 22 LR rifle . My third gun was a Remington 700 30-06 at the age of eighteen .
What they also didn't mention is in the event of a land invasion US citizens have more guns and ammunition then any other country. Pick almost any 3 or 4 states and the hunting population would be the largest standing army in the world.
3:52 by policy/design, a certain portion of the interstate highway surface must be straight so that airplanes can use them as emergency runways. i don't remember the exact amount, but it is something like in every 10 miles, one mile must be straight.
And the ditches along the interstates are maintained at a specific angle. If we are invaded, all our tanks eould need to do is line up in the ditches, tank facing the blacktop, and angle the barrel is at, at that point lands a shell one mile away. They do not have to calculate any angles. The grade of the ditches places the barrel properly while it's in the locked down riding postion. Even our ditches are dug/made for creating the best defense we possibly could.
Antimony is used to harden the lead in bullets especially ones that don't have a copper jacket. Military small arms ammunition like the 5.56x45 mm M855 "green tip" is a hardened steel penetrator core surrounded by soft lead (pure lead) swaged into a copper jacket. Since it's a full jacketed round, antimony isn't needed to mix with the lead to harden it. There is a replacement for the M855 that is just copper with the hardened steel penetrator inside and dose away with lead completely, but I don't know if it has been fully adopted as the Lake City, Missouri plant still makes literally tons of M855 rounds every day. The biggest use for antimony is in electronics. Also, the lead mines that closed was due to overseas competition and not because they are out of lead ore, so they can be reopened and retooled in the event of conflict. Fun fact:. My grandmother worked at the Des Moines Ordnance Plant during WWII making .50 caliber machine gun ammunition.

The US actually has plenty of Antimony. It just doesn't have many mining operations dedicated to it. It's the same with some other critical metals, like Rare Earth Metals. The reason for not having domestic suppliers is simple economics, other countries can mine and process these things cheaper. The lack of secure supplies of critical resources is changing though. The US government has passed a couple of bills lately that give subsidies to a whole mess of industries to secure resources within the country: uranium, rare earths, lithium, cobalt, nickel, graphite, artificial intelligence, 5G telecommunications technology, semiconductors, biotech, green energy and quantum computing. There's also been a lot of activity lately shoring up trade agreements with friendly countries. Ultimately, the US would like to decrease dependance on Russia and China for anything important. I wish I could tell you New Zealand would benefit from some of these changes but we're pretty good on sheep here in the US. 😉

You don't need a friend in the venezuelan army to tell you that. Seaborne invasions are extremely difficult to pull off and require a massive logistical undertaking. The only nation capable of such a feat currently is the USA. China is building its forces to do so in Taiwan, but aren't quite there. Venezuela and Cuba wouldnt attempt such a feat simply because it's impossible.
Trust me; there are countless Cuban exiles living in the U.S., especially in Florida, who would love to "greet" their former countrymen should Cuba ever become delusional enough to try and "invade" the U.S.

It’s really true. We are a very well armed civilian population. I’m a 51 year old lady in a wheelchair and even I carry a gun. It’s not for offense it’s for defense. If a threat of war broke out, you will see almost the entire civilian population buying guns. And mind you, some families have a gun room with maybe 20 or 30 rifles, shotguns and pistols ready to use. Rural families use weapons for hunting and defense against larger apex predators (grizzly bears, wolves). I grew up in Wyoming and learned responsible gun ownership. The US has it's own antinomy mines in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada.
people often talk about china in reliance on lithium not knowing that most raw lithium comes from Australia then refined in China only for companies like Tesla to say they are reducing cobalt and rare earth metals while dominating the chinese new energy vehicle market, the US has serious potential despite it already being on already at top.
Exactly…antimony like oil and numerous other resources, we import them not because we NEED to, but because we’d rather use your resources which we can even get cheaper than use our own as much as possible. But if need be, we can get by on our own supplies 😎
Also you people from other countries might not know that The US has its militarily armed services but states each individually have their own defense too. I’m in Michigan- we have the Michigan national guard, Michigan national air guard, etc But also Michigan militia w 9 district in our state. Plus several organization other militia like group too.
I have successfully taught my dogs to fetch my hidden guns from several locations with 2 words/each location in case I ever have an intruder and its not within reach. Now I'm teaching them how to get my "party size" boxes of ammo also.
They forgot to mention that most the highways, railways and rivers all run parallel to eachother so that if one is disabled troops and supplies can still move freely with one of the other two. And the highways can have the median dividers moved to block them if they need to or removed to use the road as landing strips for planes.
Add on top of that, the fact that many of us Americans believe in maintaining a year's supply of food storage in our homes so if we need it we have it. We treat our pantries like mini grocery stores and rotate the food buying fresh while it is in season and preserving it ourselves. Some buy whole cows, hogs and hunt for deer as well as fish to keep freezers full of meat. We are trained to do that from generations back.
I learned how to home can, make pickles , jellies, jams, soaps and candles and homemade bread all before I was 20. Even had a top of the food dehydrator that used for herbs, jerky, and making our own soup starter. What you can’t buy, you make it yourself. Next I’m gonna learn knitting and crocheting. A valuable skill. Teach your children well.
Wish more at least learned from the Covid lock downs. The younger ones who never survived a depression, recession, or disaster still haven't learned to put away for emergencies. They expect fairy godmother government to step in with handouts. As a disaster volunteer, they have no clue that that is a huge myth and mistake.
911 showed that enemies can get thru; however, a friend was working as an ATC in Atlanta and told me all aircraft was on the ground in 2 mins. Also fighter planes were in the air and on the job within 2 mins. But, even with this, so many perished.

In the 1970's It was estimated the US had a 900 year reserve of coal, we are the Saudi Arabia of coal.
"rifle behind every blade of grass"
Doesn’t Texas count as three countries then ? Lol Three times as big….and I can’t
Imagine a Texan without a gun.
Especially in times of a crisis.

3:52 by policy/design, a certain portion of the interstate highway surface must be straight so that airplanes can use them as emergency runways. i don't remember the exact amount, but it is something like in every 10 miles, one mile must be straight.
That's an interesting tidbit. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, it’s not required but very helpful m. I’m a distance guy and wasn’t sure if I’d even heard of it before. And I’m not quite sure how it’s used in NODs, cus the main part is the phosphorus.
Correct! Also TUNGSTEN is used for the penetrater core.

Glad our geography worked for us, more happy we have an armed populous and love for our country… and a love for our true friends like our NZ family.
I have lived in Texas my entire life. I have been around guns........ MY ENTIRE LIFE! When I turned 18 I felt it was pointless for me to sign my draft registration. I have always stuck with...... “If we get to a point where the draft is needed I will have already been fighting for YEARS. I’m not gonna specify what my family has but if it comes down to it.......... we will be our own unit. We have survival skills, we have medical skills, we have fighting skills and we have MANY MORE skills that would keep us alive and make our enemies DEAD! They probably wouldn’t even know what hit them. America’s enemies need to realize that before they try attacking here. YOU ATTACK AMERICANS ON OUR LAND.......... YOU ARE NOT FIGHTING THE GOVERNMENT. The military has ROE (Rules of Engagement) that control and stop them from fighting dirty! Civilians don’t! Especially the armed civilians! My family has already agreed if it came down to that............ NO PRISONERS, NO MERCY! The only thing you’ll get if you come after us is pain and death!
Not to mention, we know these lands like the back of our own hands. I’m from Texas as well and let me tell you, I learned from an early age how to move silently and track down my prey. Imagine if you were an animal, constantly looking over your shoulder, constantly listening, that’s what it’s going to feel like for whoever dares to invade the US, especially from the South

the main reason in the past for restricting the mining was antimony and other rare minerals carry huge health risks to mine

i have a friend in the venezuelan army. he's told me that they couldn't invade florida, let alone any other portion of the usa. and he further mentioned that cuba would be incapable of even invading miami, florida.
Venezuela can’t invade an closet
well, they won't need to invade because Biden would just allow them to come in because Biden hates Republicans and Desantis.
Trust me; there are countless Cuban exiles living in the U.S., especially in Florida, who would love to "greet" their former countrymen should Cuba ever become delusional enough to try and "invade" the U.S.

It’s really true. We are
a very well armed civilian population. Please don’t be afraid when you visit us. We treasure our 2nd amendment right to bare arms….against any threat foreign and domestic. We aren’t gun nuts. The Chinese spy balloon flying across the US was just plain weird! It was like something out of a sci-fi movie.
I"m pretty sure I saw one over the summer, but I can't confirm that. Weird 'star' in the NE sky several hours before sunset - not a planet - eventually wandered off south of my location.
Actually it is very common. Stuff flies over the US daily. It's only being focused on more now to serve as some sort of distraction (in my opinion) They are being extremely hyper vigilant about it now as it has been made public knowledge.
@@paulbrickler I used to have a sky map app that would show all the satellites and everything. It is a good possibility that is what it was. It even showed most of the foreign satellites as well!
A big deal was only made about it because they are using it to make Biden look bad. In reality there are lots of different things flying around up there and given the abilities of satellite imagery, there is no reason to freak out. A certain segment of our country would call Biden a liar if he said that grass is green or that the sky is blue. They are incredibly entitled and believe that the world should revolve around them. They are easily distracted by things like the balloon, the southern border, someone coming to get their guns (an advertising stunt to boost gun and ammunition sales), and other petty issues.

So happy to see that you are all okay. As for the video, one thing the narrator didn't touch on was that strange metal you said you never heard of, antinomy, he said the US has to rely on China and Russia for it, but actually we don't.

In the 1970's It was estimated the US had a 900 year reserve of coal, we are the Saudi Arabia of coal. Most of our electricy used to be generated by coal, but now more plants are converting to natural gas. Our founding fathers had the foresight to include in our Constitution, the 2nd Amendment. Which states, "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." Truly an invading force would face a hostile and resolute civilian populous. As would a domestic government that would seek to unjustly subdue its citizens.

I read somewhere that we have 6 guns for every one person in the usa
@@Oblivion_Tactics It's about 1.25, civilian-wise. Still, quite a lot.
@@Oblivion_Tactics Actually, now that I think of it, I seem to recall reading that the average *gun owners* in the US has 6. So, if that number plays out, and my number is also correct, about 20-25% of people (legally) own guns, which sounds about right to me. For instance, anecdotally, my dad has 3, my step-mom has 1, and I have 0, so that's 4 between the 3 of us.
What good will that do when you get nuked? Foreign forces would never make landfall on the US anyway.
