    Really happy with the forwards you didn't mention Lakai hes got massive potential . We need to find a more creative outside centre relying to much on 10 and 15 .

      Yeah Lakai was fantastic when given opportunity. I was too focused on how good Sititi was this year💪

    Fair assessment, and yes, the ABs haven’t really clicked 100% yet. Hopefully with more time together those combinations will be ironed out next season. Especially can’t wait for the springbok games next year.

    Firstly credit is due to the Los Pumas, Argentina - those Mountain Lions are evolving! Up the Los Puma's. Up the Southern Hemisphere.
    France well done Congratulations on your win, Cam Roigard was playing against Antoinne Du Pont,
    how come he was taken off? Interested to know why?
    Wallace Satiti, there's just something about that soul.
    Our rival, the Bokke, too good for our boys this year - Respect to South Africa, this is a world class outfit.
    You've earnt our respect. You deserve our respect.
    Our Coach is a bit of a mad Genius. We know he is capable if he is himself and in the right environment for him. Is where he is now it?
    Not this year, but that is only because of the mark of the man. Not easy to go stomping your way into the most important position in the country. I think you'd have to be right full of yourself to do it like that, not wrong, but not him. The best interviewer's don't always make the best employees kind of thing.
    Once he finds his feet, is secure in his job, is again confident in his own decisions, is more ruthless, has proper bonded with his team and they trust him, we will again be a force to be reckoned with. I am confident in that view. For now a bit clumsy, a 6.8/10 and lucky he has known potential.
    Thats my opinion --- and everyone is entitled to my opinion, thank you to the show host for asking.

    cheers bro. we need a 12 to shine at Super Rugby and displace Jordie, because we have no creativity in the midfield at the moment and its killing us.
    I think Jase Ryan needs to become smarter at the tactical and technique level.
    Jason Holland is our attack coach and not cutting it. And I am a Canes man.
    Finally, i know you are eyeing off seeing the Bokke break the Eden Park record!

    Very mixed opinions in NZ. A lot of ppl here don't pay attention to other club comps outside super rugby so don't get how the game is played internationally.
    I'm very happy with how our fwds are going, set piece, defence, although discipline and ruck protection wasn't great. Very disappointed with the backline. Lack of opportunities for new players, cohesion missing, penetration. I personally think NZ has a stack of backline talent, but swapping players won't resolve the issue without addressing the tactics. I'd like to keep going with dmac, but he needs more guidance on game mgmt. Mo'ungas game grew a lot after being coached by ROG at crusaders. Dmac may never have got that.
    75% for me. Lotsa tough games, great performances, but the pumas loss was frankly very poor, and didn't have killer instinct on attack throughout the year.
    Sorry about the length of this comment. Brain dump I guess

      @KickOnRugby  Місяць тому +1

      Nah man I love it. Take the time to comment a thought out comment I appreciate it. Yeah Mo’unga under ROG definitely would’ve help. Maybe another year in the saddle will help Dmac. He’d be getting heaps off BB in camp🤝

    6 out of 10 - 10 wins and 4 losses is the worst record for a first year head coach in the professional era for the ABs - worst than Foster's first year as head coach yet Robertson won 7 Super Rugby titles!
    For me nothing has changed as we are still playing this delusional expansive running rugby which is doing more harm than good! The worst thing is that we keep doing the same thing over and over and over yet the results are still the same!!!! IF Robertson does NOT change the way the ABs attack then we will NOT be winning the RWC in 2027!

      Sevu Reece, David Havilli and the Centres are all established players at international level so I’m not sure why you are baffled. The real question is whether there are better performers available. Who would you suggest?

      @@KickOnRugby neither is jordie or reiko but that never stop nz rugby selectors in the past. we absolutuely need a 12 who takes stopping to free space for our strength which is the width and finishing in the corner. prime clarke is the son of a ab midfielder who built to bust the line and needs more touches in a match to influence all blacks results. 2nd five is not rocket science its about carrying strongly and keeping defenses honest because u require attention to stop

  • @rory7590
    @rory7590 Місяць тому +2

    A 71% win rate = yep, 7/10 - has to be a ‘pass’ but All Blacks have high standards. There is always going to be high expectations and unless the All Blacks are unequivocally World No.1, fans will always be critical. Basically, Razor did the bare minimum for the armchair critics, which I guess the rest of us who aren’t in the driver's seat will always be reduced to. But enough to get a ‘tick’ in a first season may yet pay dividends in the future.
    The ABs are clearly strong in the set piece but not necessarily dominant in the breakdown collisions yet - and that needs to improve. The real strength in the pack, currently, is the front row stocks and Samisoni Taukeiaho may return next year also, lest we forget about his power at hooker.
    However, I feel that the pack is one ‘big body’ short in the back five. With Sam Cane going and the versatility of current incumbents there is an opening for any in form forward, playing lock or loose forward, to fight their way into the starting lineup. Considering that a bunch of loose forwards were injured for the end of year tour, along the emergence of players like Peter Lakai, Samipeni Finau or locks like Fabien Holland or Isaia Walker-Leawere, there are plenty of options. I’d also note the mad scramble for France-eligible Patrick Tuifua who is seemingly opting for an All Blacks future, and the apparent talks to re-recruit Shannon Frizzell means that there are a LOT of possible future options….
    In the backs, I am willing to bet that changes will end up being made in the midfield at some point which may be induced by injury or form. A player that isn’t mentioned much Is Levi Aumua who unfortunately played his first season in the worst performing Crusaders team (ever) this year but still looked powerful. If the Crusaders get a better run without injuries and raise their stocks players like him or a returning Leicester Fainga'anuku could change future AB selection priorities. The AB XV also had some good looking backs that could make waves in the right team too. I agree that Ricko Ioane is a much better winger, basically, and I’d prefer him to shift.
    In all, expect evolution not revolution from Razor and co., but it is coming.

      Be interesting to see where Leicester plays in that saders backline. So many options. Him at Centre could change things up massively
