@@FixThisHouseHe join the navy in 80 when he was 17 and was deploy to Beirut in 83 when the US barracks was bombed. He was on quite a few ships during his time, his last was on the USS Cole when it was bombed in Yemen. He passed away in 06.
My favorite part about this vid is that you called a licensed professional. This specific job was not difficult but if you are not confident in your ability don’t mess with gas lines. If you mess up on a water line you may get wet, possibly cause a subfloor issue, drywall problems or even mold. All of these can be fixed. With gas you could kill people in the dwelling through asphyxiation or possibly level the entire house and potentially kill neighbors. Natural gas and propane are not to be taken lightly.
That fireplace line is hideous, I'm surprised your municipality even allows flexible pipe in this application. Recommend abandoning all the flex and capping it off at the tee entering the brick portion. This will incentivize the next person to do a proper job if they re-connect the fireplace.
You did an excellent job. I am a Natural gas utility worker. And everything you said and did was correct.
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽😊
Well, I learned about blue teflon tape today. Always learn at least one thing from you. Please keep up the excellent content.
Thank you so much for the love and support my friend! 🙏🏽😊
Thanks!
Thank you for watching! 🙏🏽😊
Very informative. My brother in law (RIP) was in the navy and was base in Bremerton.
My condolences to your brother-in-law 🙏🏽 😞. Yes Bremerton is a huge navy town, which ship was he in?

I agree! Thank you for the suggestion! 🙏🏽😊 will definitely clean it up after we fix the hideous siding as well 😅
I am surprised that the line outside is flex and not black iron pipe.
I also wonder why this was installed this way 🤔
Why would you hire someone to cap off it’s a 5 min work
Thanks 👍🏼
Anytime Ron! Thank you for your continued support! 👍🏽😊🙏🏽
