i just got livia, you can increase and lower its intensity. my periods are always really really heavy and beyond painful and just uncomfortable in general. livia was almost instant relief. it’s weird to describe but i know when i’m cramping, but it isn’t painful with livia. it’s almost like the slightest bit of pressure but you can’t really feel it and it doesn’t hurt a bit. i would always have to leave work early from my cramps but i bring livia with me and it’s like a God send. i highly recommend!

So glad you mentioned you have endometriosis. I have PCOS and possibly endometriosis. The pain I get on my periods from this and throughout the month is something I can't explain to other women who dont understand. I've been nervous about trying livia because I'm not sure if it would work for my pain level

Paige Rancourt yes do try it! Hate to see woman suffer. Try the cheaper version first if u want to make sure it works for you. Or u could get the Livia device and return it in the timeframe they give for returns. Either way u don’t lose much but hopefully it helps you. Let me know how it goes!

Livia helps. Not a cure all, but definitely takes that edge off. I use it along with a heating pad and ibuprofen. I get pain in my lower back and all down the front of my legs so I can still feel pain there, but in the area where my uterus is, it helps.

  • @Morbatx

There are also much smaller sizes of the TENS unit; the one I have is about the size of an iPod Nano, and I’ve definitely been able to leave the house and enjoy normal daily activities without it being clunky or in the way. It has lots of modes and intensity can be adjusted significantly.
Tl;dr Livia looks prettier, obviously, but I wouldn’t spend my money simply based on the aesthetic value of it (and if it’s discreet enough, no one will see it anyway). Pocket-sized TENS are much more affordable.

Anyone with extreme period Pain really should go see their doctor, I got my first period when I was 9 year old and they've always been incredibly plainful for me and it Wasn't until I was 20 years that I was diagnosed with Ovarian cysts which was only bc I had one burst and then several months later when I found my self in surgery getting my appendix removed (which was fine) that I was diagnosed with endometriosis. Anyone born with a uterus and is experiencing extreme pain please go see a gyno I know it's uncomfortable and awkward but it's needed you don't deserve to be In that much pain take care of yourself please

How long are the leads on the Livia? I was thinking of getting one for a more portable option for my chronic pain, which is mostly lower back. But the leads don't look too long. I do also have the Healthmate and love it, but you're right. It's clunky. And not very portable.

The leads on the Livia device are about the length of my arm from my hand to my elbow. You would have to have the device tucked into a pocket near your pelvis/stomach area as it will not stretch far.
