Still you need to respect the Brian Jones area. That's when most the great songs were recorded. Every time I see a video with Ron Wood I feel like puking.
For me, its the Rolling Stones song i do like the most. Its been said, that Mick Taylor did compose it and because the other two, helped him, did not share the credits wirh Mick Taylor so this was the main reason he abandoned the band. Its so strange that the Rolling Stones never played live.
As far as I know Mick Taylor himself has stated that he left the band because of the drug (ab)use was getting out of hand and he wasn't able to control it. So he left to be able to stay alive.
The song was actually more of a Taylor 'inspiration' in the strict sense of the art of songwriting... and conveniently finished by Jagger. The same can be said for "Ventilator Blues." If Mick Taylor had been able to compose, the world would have known about it long ago. There are a lot of songs that the Stones have never played live.
Beautiful stuff!! Thanks for sharing. Mick Taylor deserves his own place in the quirky ass R&R HOF and ranking as one of the top rock lead and blues guitarists of all time. I love the Stones and the Glimmer Twins, but know in my gut that MT got ripped by the Stones machine. Jagger and Richards should give MT 10+% royalties and or at least what other "official" band members got during his tenure. Really more bc MT was the most creative member behind Jagger and Richards. RIP Mr. Watts.
An amazing song. I've always thought Mick Taylor helped write and produce several Stones songs, yet the Glimmer Twins took all the credit. I hope MT is compensated fairly. He was a major part in cementing the foundation of the Stones.
@@omeletpants well that sux ass! The Stones are my favorite band. But, this sux bad. If I ever meet Jagger and Richards, I will tell them they ripped MT and to make it right.
Ya, Mick is all business when it comes to the band---- Why they cut Mick Taylor out of the proceeds and credit during his 5 year tenure IDK--- But they are definitely one of the greatest rock bands ever--- Great songs, excellent musicians, entertaining, and sheer longevity put them at the top!!!!

@@paulgallagher1882 tattoo you was re-worked stuff from 72, the Taylor years. never cared for some girls. Ian Stewart was the man they trusted. they would finish a song, let Stu listen, if he gave a thumbs down it was back to work. no question about it, back to work. Mick is 80 now
I loved the weaving between Keith and Ronnie and I rank Beast of Burden among their best particularly the 1978 Some Girls live in Texas.. ua-cam.com/video/bj8lRssjN48/v-deo.html As a soloist Ronnie had some lyrical moments like Wentworth '76 Wild Horses, but generally he does not have the lyrical flow that makes Mick's guitar work sound soooooo gooood.

M.T. = the best Stones' guitar ever...
Echos of his legacy upon his sad departure from the Rolling Stones. So gifted.
Just glad I grew up with Mick Taylor

I'm totally agree.
Keith Richards can make time wait for him. Eighty and still playing, fame everlasting.

He gets nothing from the Stones, except maybe some small some from Ventilator Blues

Di gran lunga il migliore dei chitarristi che gli Stones abbiano avuto. Ma non ha saputo costruirsi una buona carriera da solista. Peccato
