In case you never seen, there is a brazilian song that Caetano Veloso sings that is the same as "Arioso" - Bach, its name is "Céu de Santo Amaro". It's a great song, but as you said, they're making millions from it. =) Cheers, you're fk*ng great man!
Very funny :). But The Beatles (Lennon and McCartney ) wrote a tons of songs simply wonderful and I mean...original. You take one of the few which was like that.

[after listening to the 'original' song] "Jason Mraz" and "Lucas Brar" have the same distribution and order of consonants and vowels. Coincidence? I think not.

That was just playing notes really fast without any soul... anyone can play garbage fast. If I wanted that I’d get my computer to play lighting fast arpeggios faster than any human could. And that’s how you arrive at black midi.

Actual way to write a hit song:
Step 1: Find a famous classical melody
Step 2: Keep the essence but simplify and change the rhythm
Step 3: Add lyrics
Step 4: Add rap beats

Step 6: Change name to Shawn Bieber
Step 5: Use Autotune
