This relates to me in so many ways! Growing up my parents would argue, not in front of me but I knew something had gone on when coming home from school. I always promised myself that I would NEVER argue or cause any upset when I grow up and meet someone. When I started dating I'd see signs of controlling and possessiveness and I'd be gone. When I met my husband I told him I'm not a woman who argues, likes confrontation, does not do nasty. He said he isn't one for those things too. I thought I'd found the perfect man. And how right was I!!?? He's everything and that some! If we have any disagreements or aren't happy with the other we will say 'I need a bit of time right now' then the other knows something is up and when the other has calmed down we will sit and talk about it. Most times it's not even worth discussing lol. But in all the years we've been together we've never had a bad word to say to each other! Being angry and venting is the worst thing you can do. Because that's when nasty uncalled words are exchanged and once said can't take them back. We've been together 27 years this coming September and believe me when I say I would never change a single day. We also have 2 grown up sons who always say they want a relationship just like their father and I! We must have done something right for them to say that! We are more inlove than when we first met and laugh all the time. Ididn't know Will's backstory and it's amazing how he managed to turn it positive. Many men who grew up in abusive marriages become as violent as their fathers and Will made a way that would happen to him ever again and his children. I see him with different eyes now.

He even mentioned having to see a therapist several times for the therapist to convince him that having desires outside of the marriage isn't a sin and isn't wrong. He has lost himself trying to please a woman that simply cannot be pleased. He mentioned Jada is the one that needed to be free to love but they will always be there for one another.
I grew up with a step father that didn't like me and my older brother did what he could do to protect me, as long as I live ( I'm 82 ) I'll never forget what my brother did for me. But my stepfather had his way with me and beat me when ever he could get away with doing it. It happened so often that I put it out of my mind. when my Brother told me later in Life that Les use to beat me I didn't remember it happening, but it did. If Will had that experience I know that like myself he didn't want that for his family and I never harmed my wife or kid's and they are still around today.
