He had me sit down with a supervisor and himself to discuss it at lunch. Later, when she passed and I had to miss work, there was an issue. As an only child I had to care of all arrangements, etc. 3 days not enough time. But because I was able to prove I had discussed the matter prior with a supervisor, my employer had to honor the time-off that I needed. Can really be tricky.
What if your FMLA is for a chronic condition and soon after you began using your FMLA you were suddenly and without reason or never given a reason, switched from your current job to a different more difficult job that the company has NO SOP Standard Operating Procedures for? That your company has started having a supervisor follow you around and harass you about leaving your work area to get needed parts to do your job. If you had been employed with this company for about . 6 years without a single writeup for poor work performance and now within 1 month you have been issued 2 suspicious and vague and hard to defend because said incidents apparently occured weeks or months ago? suspicious write-ups for "poor workmanship"? Does that sound anything like a company trying to build a bullship case for termination because you used your FMLA more than they liked???
Or moving you around to machines that cause pain for back patients after been doing a job 15yrs or even 5yrs claiming cross training but only for a couple people out of 20 yea ok
What if they fire you 2 weeks after letting your manager know you contacted FMLA? I was given a written warning the next day for something I was never warned about before

Well facing to resign from my job due to my medical situation because I am now under ADA for my medical situation for heart and spinal injury the FLMA only lasted only two months.I am under doctor's care and I can't drive myself at the age 69 was working full time up until the 7 of June this year.

And they kept the hours and said they would not return them. All the way till my leave closed. Now im terminated but 1.5 points of attendance were supposed to be covered by fmla. It may just be because I'm a motional, But the start of my story is my husband contracted covid So I had to take 2 weeks off of work I took a test and tested negative, my husband tested positive again They said I would have to take additional time off until he tested negative twice and I tested negative twice, Even though I test the negative and we we're not in the same place. They said that wasn't good enough I had to have a second negative and he had to have 2 negatives Before I could return to work. So I used up all my vacation time because they would let me come back to work even though I was negative, And a doctor letter saying that was valid enough and requested to come back to work multiple times. June 29 I had a serious shoulder surgery where I needed the 12 weeks off of flma that they approved that. I understand that Ineeded one more set of shoulder rehab 4weeks total and I believe my arm would have been all the way better I sent the paperwork and telling them this. They send me email back saying that my position is gone there keep the new person they hired and they have no positions available for me, But they approved the 4 weeks that I needed off so they're not Saying im fired they just have no place for me. Now I wasn't scheduled to come back to work on the 8th, so if they would have told me if I couldn't get a release to come back on the 8th that they would have to you let me go I would understand. but they got in touch with me before my flma was over and told me My Position was gone but prior to that email I was told to be at work for my same position. I woulda told the doctor I had to go back I could not stay out another 4 weeks and went back with my shoulder the way it was they didn't give me the option. I don't understand that because the 1st email I got was will see you on the 8th the 2nd email I got said my position is gone and they have no were to place me so They don't know what to tell me I haven't been told I'm fired or laid off
What if you request the leave and they tell you no after your wife just had a baby with a c section? Then fire you after miss days to care for your wife and child.
Fear retaliation is on its way my employer is a county operated Fire Department and they are so ignorant that they tried to force me to take a solid 12 weeks off so I would not have any more FMLA and then while I'm out sick strangers come up to my wife and ask about me being out of work because of mental health issues by which only the HR department was aware of the reason I took off time and they went as far as to take away my Christmas bonus because I was on FMLA
