This is a great idea - thank you for the suggestion! But a tip is when you search for a keyword, Pinterest will suggest more specific keyword searches you can choose from - this will help show you the ideas/pins you actually really need

If you mean that you repinned someone else's pin linked to another website (not yours), it doesn't affect your traffic because the pin doesn't send people to your site.

Hi there! I suggest to monitor how your Pinterest analytics go with these kind of images because usually, square pins don't really do well on Pinterest. And you do not need to change your Shopify images itself. You can just make new pin templates on canva then redirect it to your page

HI there! If you converted your personal to business account already, then your business acc should be the one showing. Or you can always make a new separate business account. If you have problems with this still, you may want to contact Pinterest since it could be a technical problem

Can I just delete the domain name and replace it with a new one or must I reverse to a personal account with out it affecting my number of followers. Meaning how do the pictures I see on pinterest get there in the first place, someone must upload them, right? Hi there! Yes people can upload images to Pinterest and save them to boards (you can't upload a pin without choosing a specific board where you want to save it). But also, the other way to save an image and it's very common is when someone is visiting a website with images and they want to save a link to that article or to that particular image, the website just needs to have social sharing buttons plugin including Pinterest's save button and so users can simply click share from a website and save an image to a Pinterest board without actually uploading an image.

Hi Anastasia, love your videos. I have a question for which no one seems to have an answer: why is it impossible to link back to a board with a pin? The system doesn't let you put a Pinterest link in a pin, which I find incredible! Usually people write an article on their blog, and link their pins to that article, right? Well I don't write articles, I make curated boards around themes. So I would like to make pins to promote my boards, but Pinterest won't allow that. So is my only solution to post those images on Tumblr or somewhere and link to that? Thank you Anastasia
Hi there! Yes, I do not believe it is possible to link back to your own board. With that, your main strategy on Pinterest will really have to build your own board for it to gain audience and followers. And just as you suggested, you can also promote your boards on different social media platforms.
Confused about my Pinterest content calendar Hi, I want to share my art on Pinterest and hopefully direct traffic to my website and eventually sell some art. I’ve seen some youtube videos about Pinterest content calendars and strategies. I’ve heard - you should pin at least 3 in a day” - First 5 pins should be yours in your daily calendar - at least 70-80% percent of your pins should be yours, rest can be curated. There is no way I can produce that much art in that timeframe. I mean, I do have some accumulated over time but if I post 3 times a day I would run out of them really quick. I also don’t want to make blog posts about “how to paint” kind of stuff. I don’t enjoy teaching, I enjoy painting. I am confused about the content calendar for Pinterest. Could you please give me some advice?
Hi there! If you don't have that much content to post, then don't force yourself to :) The 3x a day is only a recommended pinning volume - you don't have to strictly follow it. In the meantime, you can just repin other pins that are related to your niche.

You can claim an Etsy store in the account settings - not in the same field as the website, but in the specific field for Etsy stores. You are not verifying your business account, you are verifying your Etsy on it, or your website on a business account. So in your case, it's just Etsy and it's fine.

I have a personal account on Pinterest and I add a linked free business account on it. Now I want to separate this linked business account from my personal account. How is it possible? How can I login separately to my linked business account? or how can someone find my linked business account on Pinterest without visiting my personal account? whenever I searched on Pinterest I found my personal account in spite of my linked business account.

HI there! If you converted your personal to business account already, then your business acc should be the one showing. Or you can always make a new separate business account. If you have problems with this still, you may want to contact Pinterest since it could be a technical problem

Hi Anastasia, really informative...I sold my retail business with the domaine name domain. Can I just delete the domain name and replace it with a new one or must I reverse to a personal account with out it affecting my number of followers. I will with start up a new blog with a new domain name. Thanks for you help!

when creating my own SEO focused boards , after pinning my pins to it, should I add other pins from other people in the same topic to make it look better in the eyes of Pinterest or just repost my own pins (i.e same image with a different creative) to the same boards ?
You can add other people's pins so that your boards won't look spammy :)

Hi, Karol. Generally, you should post about 80% of your own pins and only about 20% of repins.

do regular and business users actually upload pictures to pinterest and then connect the pictures to a board? you don't talk about this. Meaning how do the pictures I see on pinterest get there in the first place, someone must upload them, right? So is pinterest hosting the photos for others to see and share like say Google Photo's or Instagram?
Hi there! Yes people can upload images to Pinterest and save them to boards (you can't upload a pin without choosing a specific board where you want to save it). But also, the other way to save an image and it's very common is when someone is visiting a website with images and they want to save a link to that article or to that particular image, the website just needs to have social sharing buttons plugin including Pinterest's save button and so users can simply click share from a website and save an image to a Pinterest board without actually uploading an image.

Hi Anastasia, love your videos. I have a question for which no one seems to have an answer: why is it impossible to link back to a board with a pin? The system doesn't let you put a Pinterest link in a pin, which I find incredible! Usually people write an article on their blog, and link their pins to that article, right? Well I don't write articles, I make curated boards around themes. So I would like to make pins to promote my boards, but Pinterest won't allow that. So is my only solution to post those images on Tumblr or somewhere and link to that? Thank you Anastasia
Hi there! Yes, I do not believe it is possible to link back to your own board. With that, your main strategy on Pinterest will really have to build your own board for it to gain audience and followers. And just as you suggested, you can also promote your boards on different social media platforms.
Confused about my Pinterest content calendar
Hi, I want to share my art on Pinterest and hopefully direct traffic to my website and eventually sell some art.
I’ve seen some youtube videos about Pinterest content calendars and strategies. I’ve heard
- you should pin at least 3 in a day”
- First 5 pins should be yours in your daily calendar
- at least 70-80% percent of your pins should be yours, rest can be curated.
There is no way I can produce that much art in that timeframe. I mean, I do have some accumulated over time but if I post 3 times a day I would run out of them really quick.
I also don’t want to make blog posts about “how to paint” kind of stuff. I don’t enjoy teaching, I enjoy painting.
I am confused about the content calendar for Pinterest. Could you please give me some advice?
Hi there! If you don't have that much content to post, then don't force yourself to :) The 3x a day is only a recommended pinning volume - you don't have to strictly follow it. In the meantime, you can just repin other pins that are related to your niche.

Hello, can you verify your Pinterest business account by using an Etsy online shop link instead of a website one (I don´t have a website and what I actually want is to redirect people to my Etsy shop)?
You can claim an Etsy store in the account settings - not in the same field as the website, but in the specific field for Etsy stores. You are not verifying your business account, you are verifying your Etsy on it, or your website on a business account. So in your case, it's just Etsy and it's fine.

Would be nice if Pinterest gives me a warning if I throw away a pin. For example with the text:

Whenever I see a Pinterest page it always asks me for a sign in after a few seconds / scrolls. Actually this is true of most social social media i guess, but especially with Pinterest?
