Nice, i made that on sprtwagon 159 , after few monts water leader from top side of trunk just where you have conne tient between hood m'ont top part and roof panel. So check your trunk in few months if water is not getting inside.
Awesome modificaton, and very simple. It sure helps when your hands are busy and u cant lift the hatch. I will try and do it too!

I would, but I don't have access to Alfa with selespeed...
Upgrade the Selespeed Pump, to the larger unit.. Made all the difference on mine.. Clutch and sleeve to bearing needs replacement every so often also due to general wear..
@@francoisleroux2663 yeah, it all started with pump (it died in a traffic jam). I replaced it and have been fighting with side effects for 2 months. Also replaced accumulator and position sensor. Not sure yet, but I think it all was because of the 20pin connector which I enforced with a zip tie recently.
its pretty simple actually. you wash it and take photos. put it for sale. hope someone buys it. get a 1.9JTD.
Nice idea, I need this often. It would be nice if the boot lid can close by it self, I need this even more. :)

I've been following your channel for a bit less than a year but I'm so thankful to you for your numerous and awesome tutorials. I made my precious Alfa 147 new again and that's really important to me as it was previously owned by my beloved uncle who's gone now... I have just one question to ask: how often do I have to change the transmission oil? Once every x years or just when I find it difficult to change gear? My 147 is the same as yours. Thank you very much again
You are welcome, and thank you very much for support. I change the gearbox oil on my cars every 50-60000km
I think in the user manual there isn't even an interval. But as ARC GARAGE says you'd be mad not to change it every 50-60Kkms. BTW. ONLY use the Alfa engine oil. There seems to be a difference and it's well noted that using alternatives significantly shortens the life of the engine, especially on the V6's.
This is absolutley great! (your grinder runs in the wrong direction - why??) I will try this on my wife´s GT, which i hopefully buy tomorrow ^^

Excellent diy 👍 makes the car more practical! 1 question, how did u make sure the spring doesn't fall down? Is the rubber washer enough or did u have to add tape? Thinking if i can do on the gt🤔😃
Thanks, it is not possible to do it on GT using this method, rubber washer is enough to keep it in place...

@@TheFloppy100 Thanks, when I figure out something, I will do it on a GT as well. Issue is that there is not enough room for the springs, and the boot lid is too heavy...

Honestly, not sure. They are factory struts. The size of the springs is listed in video...

Check the struts when they are in closed position, if they have enough room for the spring, I think it would be possible...

@@arcgarage The other springs are arriving tomorrow. They seem to be 20-25 mm long. They open the trunk in half.
