Provided a car has a boot release button and struts this can be applied to any. The springs size and force depends on the weight of the boot so be sure to get the correct one
Spring lenght: 25mm Force / Load for the maximum recommended deflection of 9.4mm, I mean about 37.5%, is 919N The length of the compressed spring is approximately 32mm.

Yes they do, just need to follow the steps. I tried it with a VW Passat and relevant springs. Worked well.

No that would be silly and most definitely annoying. It opens with the boot button, you keep that pressed down to engage it.
