    If I could make one suggestion it would be to film this and upload in 1080p. Love the work you do!

      DethSonik It is in 1080p. You probably caught it before the video got processed by UA-cam.

    I see the belt you are wearing is longer than the one you are making, I always make mine longer. you can always cut them off if they lose weight but you can't add on for them.

    A real quick question is Fiebing's Leather Balm a conditioner or is it a sealer? Also is it necessary to apply it? Lastly could I use saddle soap or mink oil instead? Thank you

      Hi there,
      It is a sealer so you can use any other sealer or top coat that you prefer. It is best to add a sealer or top coat after you dye leather to prevent any kind rub off. Hope this helps!

    Was the back treated the same as the front? Or were there any additional steps?

      Hi Robert,
      It was treated the same as the front, no extra steps. 👍

      Roy Rivera cut your pieces a bit larger then you need to compensate for the stretch, and after your done stamping trim up to the original size your looking for.

      Roy Rivera hey there, the suggestion of over cutting your piece is a great tip. Another one is to use masking take or that blue painters tape on the back of your project. This will keep it from stretching. Hope this helps sir.

    Chuck, great video as usual but I need to know the size of double cap rivet to use for my belts. What is the best type to use? thanks Steve

    • @WeaverLeatherSupply
      @WeaverLeatherSupply  5 років тому

      Hi there! The size rivet depends on the thickness of your leather. We used an 8/9 oz. leather in this video, and if we double that it is about 1/4" thick. You'll want your rivet post to be about 1/16" - 1/8" longer than the thickness of your material so for this particular belt we would want a 5/16" inch long rivet. Let us know if you have any more questions!

    No tooling required.
