  • This video is a full tooling session I did recently tooling a belt. I filmed the entire process and then sped up the footage by 500% for this video for sake of time. Just a fun video and hopefully you find it useful or in the least entertaining.

Don, this video was very entertaining. It would be very helpful if you could add a voice-over, explaining the tools and what you're doing and why. Hearing your reasoning would give some very helpful insight.
Thank you for all you do to help and inspire leather crafters.

Boy, you can really hear the level of control in the sound of that beveling as the mallet blows get softer and softer as Mr. Gonzales gets to the end of a line! You're the man!

Riduculous Skill, I was gonna take up leather work as a hobby, after seeing this vid - I decided I will look into basket weaving using only 3 strands of straw , excellent work .......

Dang! That was pretty freakin awesome to watch. I agree with the other comment about liking the sound of the tapping. It did help to hear when you were lightening up. Overall just an incredible talent and great video!

    Love this video!
What size and maker of the first beveler you used after re-stamping the flower centers? I've been looking for something just like that instead of the one I fixed up to use.
Appreciate all the videos and information!

I appreciate you added the tapping sound. You can hear where you tap harder and smoother and beveling. What is the tool you are using at the beginning for bevelling. Just sliding it. Pretty cool.

How do you case the leather before this sort of tooling session? It didn’t look like you had to re-wet it any while you tooled the whole belt.
