You guys have to realize that there this more than one singer in Toto. David Paich does most of the singing on Africa. Pamela is sung by the current singer Joseph Williams. On Rosanna, Steve Lukather and Bobby Kimball share vocals on that song. There is also some other songs where they have Steve Porcaro, Fergie Frederiksen & Jean-Michael Byron singing as well.
Lead Vocalist Joseph Williams helped his dad compose the Ewok Celebration score for the ending of Star Wars Ep VI: Return of the Jedi. Very talented family.
This is a different lead singer than what you heard before. This guy is Joseph Williams, the son of John Williams, the guy who wrote the scores (and main themes) for Star Wars, Harry Potter, and a million other great movies. The original lead singer was Bobby Kimball.
Kimbell was the voice of Toto but was replaced by Josh Williams. Later Kimbell returned after sorting his personal life out. He stayed with Toto until his voice deteriorated. Williams was invited back and is still with Toto to this day. Kimbells health has deteriorated of late.
The great Joseph Williams on lead vocals, still with them today! This is the first Toto song you’ve heard him sing and you’d LOVE “Stop Loving You”. He’s also famously the singing voice of Adult Simba in The Lion King
The original lead singer, Bobby Kimball had departed. This was Joseph Williams, also a great lead singer! Please come back with I'll Supply The Love! An absolute Toto masterpiece! You won't regret it.
IMO "I Won't Hold You Back" is one of the greatest ballads by ANYONE of that time. Beautiful and underrated. It would be an excellent choice to react to.
This is my most favorite song of Toto's. The singer, Joseph Williams is the son of the Great John Williams, the composer (also conductor, pianist, trumpeter) of so many movie scores such as the Star Wars series, Fiddler On The Roof, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Superman (Richard Donner) series, Indiana Jones series, E.T. The Extraterrestrial, the Jurassic Park series and on and on and on, not to mention all of the TV Shows such as Gilligan's Island, Lost In Space and The Time Tunnel among many others.
I've always loved Toto and rediscovered them during the pandemic! This song has a jazz quality to it and is sung by Joseph Williams, who is currently touring with Toto.... he still sounds great!! They should be in the R & R Hall of Fame hands down!!!
Steve Lukather, Toto's guitarist has been on so many albums as a studio guitarist, it is just unbelievable. Often he is too underrated. Amber will love that he was the goto guitarist for Quincy Jones when recording Michael Jackson. He also played for Aretha Franklin, Earth Wind and Fire, Lionel Ritchie, Richard Marks, Donna Summers, and so many more. He still keeps Toto going today, when not touring with Ringo Star's Allstar Band. He also wrote and sang one of my favorite Toto songs, I Won't Hold You Back - you should definitely react to it.
And Steve Porcaro wrote "Human Nature" about his daughter being bullied by a boy and she asked Steve why the boy did that and he told her: "It's human nature". And Quincy Jones wanted Michael J. to sing the song, so Steve Porcaro graciously gave it to him. Toto does a good job of singing it themselves.
@SweetThing - I know. I commented about Human Nature on a different video quite some time ago. However, I still stand by my choice of favorite Toto song, I Won't Hold You Back.
I'm obsessed with him.. hugest crush. Him first singing Georgy porgy at like 22 years old. The voice and attitude.. can't believe the equal excellence of vocals and guitar. Where did they grow this guy??
Respect and love for iconic drummer, Jeff Porcaro. In addition to being a founding member and original drummer of Toto, Jeff Porcaro was a legendary studio drummer who arguably was the most recorded drummer in the seventies and eighties playing on hundreds and hundreds of songs. He played on numerous tracks for Steely Dan, Michael Jackson (4 out of the 9 tracks, including "Beat it" on the bestselling album of all time, "Thriller"), Michael McDonald ("I keep forgetting"), Boz Scaggs (all of "Silk Degrees"), Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Lionel Richie, Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Bee Gees, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, the list goes on and on. Jeff Porcaro always played to the song with impeccable timing and feel defining Toto's sound (also co-wrote "Africa"). The entire band were outstanding in their own right, but Jeff Porcaro's drumming was the heart and soul of Toto's sound. When you listen to a Toto song recorded in the seventies and eighties listen closely to the drums to really appreciate how great Toto is. Jeff/Mike Porcaro RIP.
Back in the day I never heard this song. I was into jazz fusion at the time. A co-worker invited me to see his cousins Top 40 band. They started the show with "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" and I think "Raspberry Beret" and then THIS song ! I was blown away! Pamela kicks a**! Anyone mention Joseph Williams is the singer. John Williams (JAWS music fame) son.
Musically, Toto is one of the most talented bands of their era. Each member was top-notch musically. Their drummer is really, really good. I just checked Wikipedia, and many of them were session players for artists like Boz Skaggs and Steely Dan. That explains a lot. Great band. Great song. Great reaction, you two.
I’ve been a working studio & live musician for 50+ yrs. I sing, write, play many instruments & (over the years) have performed many of the songs you react to. Lately, nothing in my life has brought me more pleasure - than watching you two kind, loving human beings blossom & grow w/the ❤ of great music! Every time you 2 react - I have 1,000 facts & connections that I want you to know. Thank you so much, for helping me relive & see the miracles of my life; through your open-minded, wide-eyed wonder. ❤❤❤😎🎸🎹🎙️🎶 PS: Do not go 1 more day, without reacting to 2 songs: “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again” (1967 live TV performance) by Tom Jones & “Oh, Darling” by The Beatles. WARNING: You may both require oxygen, after hearing these 2 songs!!! 😳
What a blessed life you've had--being able to immerse yourself in music. I can relate to what you wrote about watching these videos. I, too, feel joy when I watch them get excited about a song I love. When Jay gets into it and says, "Hey!" during the part of a song I have loved for years, ahhhh, it's the best feeling.
Remember, members of Toto played on Michael Jackson's "THRILLER." Toto were considered among the world's best musicians and highly sought after for studio work! Please react to a Toto ballad masterpiece, "I Won't Hold You Back" written and sung by their great guitarist, Steve Lukather!!
Hmm. That's Joseph Williams, son of the well known composer John Williams. So excited that you did some Toto. Toto is FIRE! Check out Straight for the Heart, Till the end, has Paula Adul in the video. Also, Can't stop loving you, without your love is funky. Home of the Brave Live from Poland is one of the best live performances you'll experience. Thanks again.
This is from the Toto album "The Seventh One" and the entire album is excellent. This was Joseph Williams second album as the lead singer and he was a long-time friend of the band members, growing up with them, so it was a good fit after Bobby Kimball, and rhen Fergie Frederiksen, left. Great band! You need to check out more songs from this album for sure. "Only the Children" is another banger that you'll love.
Rest In Peace Rockin' Out Brothers, Jeffrey And Michael Porcaro . . . R.I.P. Gentlemen, And Thank You For All Of Your Amazing Wonderful Music . . . :-)
I'm SO glad you listened to this one! This, dear people, is a demonstration of why I believe Toto is one of THE most adept group of musicians in music in the last 20 years. Each one of them is a phenomenal musician on their given instruments, and then they work together SO tightly. The end product is beautiful and moving!
Joe Williams was the 3RD lead singer of TOTO (from 1986-88) following original singer Bobby Kimball and Fergie Fredericksen (RIP)in that order. Williams actually joined the band when Totos popularity was declining in America. Williams returned in 2010 following Kimballs return tenure from 1998-2008. Yay! It's been a while since your last Toto reaction. Check out "Stop Loving You" "99" (which is from 1979) and "Georgy Porgy" pronounced Georjee Porjee. This was nice. Haven't heard this one. For me, the horns were really nice, but the keyboard stole the song. Other songs: "I Will Remember" "I'll Supply The Love" (1978) "Angel Don't Cry" (1984) "Hydra" (1979) "I Won't Hold You Back" (1982) "Holyanna" (1984) "Straight For The Heart" (1988) "Out Of Love" "Melanie" (1999) "Stranger In Town" "Goodbye Elenore" (1979) "Till The End" (1986) "Waiting For Your Love" (1982) "St. George And The Dragon" (1979). There you go guys :D
Steve Lukather is one of the best guitarists of all time. I don't think people realize just how many songs/artists/ and bands he recorded with and songs he's written. As a Gen-X guitar player, been playing for 30+ years Steve Lukather is one of my guitar heroes. Steve Lukather wrote the main riff as well as the bass for beat it by Michale Jackson and was the one who said to bring in Eddie VanHalen to do the solo
Toto is and always will be masterclass. Perfection through and through. Check out Stop Loving You by the same lead singer, Joseph Williams (John William's son). Enjoy the song and how much the drummer (Jeff Porcaro) is enjoying himself!
And bizarrely, Stop loving you from the same album was not released as a single in the US despite being a huge hit in Europe. A great song with a great video. The story is leadership at the record label changed and new leadership pulled the plug on support.
There are a couple more songs from Toto you should react to 1. Stop Loving You (very similar to this song) 2. Till the End (Paula Abdul dancing in this one)
2023 is so coming together for me personally… I got to attend the John Fogerty concert in Antwerp (Belgium) a couple of weeks ago and I’m holding tickets for Toto coming November at the same location… in the meantime enjoying your journey through the best decades music has to offer…makes me smile every day 😊😊❤❤
I've seen these guys live 7 times since first half of the eighties. One time I saw them twice... first at the concert at the arena, but also at a gig at a club where the did a medley on Beatles songs. What a weekend that turned out to be 😎❣️
One of the most unique things about TOTO is that they have more than one lead singer; in fact, I believe they've had four. If you re-watch some of the videos you've already seen (Africa, Hold The Line, Rosanna...), you'll notice that it's a different guy singing lead on each of them. They are also phenomenal musicians!
Funny thing I must mention to you guys. This is one of my favorite songs and videos of Toto. However, I just realized a few months ago, the guys in the shadow playing horns is the band.
Great reaction Jay and Amber - Of the ones you haven't heard "I won't hold you back" is a pretty powerful ballad I think you'd enjoy. Some of their earlier songs "I'll Supply the Love" and the mysterious "99" are also worth a listen.
Toto - So underrated, top top notch musicians and vocalists, session guys -- Jeff Porcaro's a legend to any drummer, played with Sonny & Cher, Boz Skaggs, and many others, RIP
Once upon a time, it was my job to go to concerts. I have always said, and few believed me, that from a musicianship standpoint, Toto was the best show I have ever been to. I saw them in 1985, and it's still true today.
Awesome! Jay and Amber, you made my day! Been waiting for a reaction to this video. Has one of my favorite guitar and keyboard solos. Plus, the horn section.
Is funny to me how, when I was a teen in the 80's, this was the must pop, comercial, every day song that you could hear in the radio. 😅 I now appreciate the art and mastery of the band. Glad you like It.
Other top Toto songs: "I'll Be Over You" and "Stop Loving You." Also "Africa" and "Hold The Line." A great band. A little-known music fact: a lot of the Toto musicians were used in the studio by David Foster when he produced the Chicago 16 album, too. (This had big hits on it like "Hard For Me to Say I'm Sprry" with Peter Cetera on lead vocals.)
They have so many songs with girl’s names there’s a term for it: ”Toto girls”. Although Rosanna obviously is hard to beat, my favourite might be ”Lea” from the album prior to this one. It was written by the third Porcaro brother, Steve, (who also wrote Human Nature for MJ) - the second keyboardist, who had departed the band when this album was recorded. BTW, the singer here, Joseph Williams, is the son of legendary movie scorer John Williams (Every Star Wars movie, and every movie by Steven Spielberg, and much more).
One of my favorite songs of Toto I loved it before my wife who is met years later named Pamela! Anytime we are in the car we have this song on our Playlist!
Toto have had four frontman lead vocalists - Bobby Kimball is who you heard on Rosanna, this is Joseph Williams (son of composer John, and as an aside Joe was the adult Simba singing voice in Lion King), and there was also Fergie Frederikson for one album and Jean-Michael Byron for one album. But David Paich (keyboards) and Steve Lukather (guitars) also regularly take lead vocals both in the recording studio and live. Synth player Steve Porcaro has also taken lead on a couple of songs. These are such great musicians they are able to play rock, pop, funk, blues, jazz, metal, and prog with equal virtuosity. They are all over some of the great 70s and 80s albums, including Thriller.
I will add these to your list: Tale of a Man (1997- part of their 20th year compilation) In A Word (same album) Gift With a Golden Gun (1981- Turn Back) Make Believe (1982- Toto IV) Mama (1979-Hydra) English Eyes (1981-Turn Back) I Think I Could Stand You Forever (1981-Turn Back) I could name more but some diamonds are better discovered on one's own...😊
I was lucky ...we opened for a couple times first with Bobby Kimble and the originals from 3 dog nights band mike alsup ,Floyd Sneed ,Jimmy Greenspoon ,and the bass player from 3 dog night and David paich was in the band ...they went by Seven separate fools ...a 3 dog night title ...we worked with them ..I think 3 dates ...They all were the best guys ever Always nice and fun ...And people didn't realize just how good Bobby could play piano ....He played a Wurlitzer and smoked it .and sang his ass off ...mike ,Floyd,Jimmy were the best ever ..all class acts ...Everytime they told us how great we sounded .. when we played .. a real motivator ...Just one of our bands scrape with greatness ...What's funny is ....just about 5 years before this encounter I was 13 years old at a first concert of 3 Dog Night in the front row at freedom Hall in Louisville ,KY which in my opinion the best rock / pop band ...next to the Beatles ...Chuck ,Danny ,Cory (RIP) just the best ever ..vocalists ,performers ..just top of The line ...PRO's .....3 Of was the number 1# worldwide grossing acts in History and ...even beat Led Zeppelin as #1 the champs ...As a proffessional vocalist /frontman who toured 12 years over 25 states 6 nights a 50 weeks a year ..they are all the best ever .!!!! And a special love for the whole Pocarro family ....absolutely if not the most talented family in the recording world ,the Patich family ,and Steve Lukather.....,TOTO family has played on hundreds of hits and artists ..worldwide ...Cream of the Crop .... ...You guys ....♥️♥️♥️♥️you preserve a great period of musical growth !!! Thank you again and keep up the Road to enlightened ment ...as music and the arts ...enlighten the Human Soul and experience ...and enlighten the pathway to enrich the Human soul and life's experience Sorry for sooo long. A statement ...but I had to declare the truth and make it available ...In today's world ....fact and truth have little meaning ...But Fact is Fact ...and Truth is truth ...It cannot be denied or ...it's the ultimate fact ...non disputed Again great service you provide ....PASS .IT ON ♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍👍👍✝️🙏☮️☮️☮️☮️☮️
Never heard this one before. Saw them in the last year with Journey. Both are still amazing. Just heard Thriller twice on XM radio on my vacation to Hilton Head Island, SC last week. Found myself paying attention to the music now that I know it was Toto who did the studio backing for the recording. Great musicians!💖
I love me some Toto. One of my favorite bands of ALL TIME!!!! I have many of their songs on my walking playlist. Forgot about this banger, its going on my playlist right now!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Toto is: Jeff Pocoro - Drums (Died in 1992) David Paich - Piano/Keyboards, Vocals Steve Lukather - Guitar, Vocals Steve Pocaro, Synthesizers (left the band in 1987, came back for later touring) David Hungate, Bass (left the band after Toto IV in 1982) Bobby Kimball, Lead Singer (Left the band during recording of their 5th album Isolation, in 1984) Mike Porcaro, Bass (Joined the band after Toto IV in 1982, Died in 2015 of complications due to ALS) Fergie Frederikesn, Lead Singer (October 1984 - through 1985) Jean-Michel Byron, Lead Singer (Four tracks on their Past to Present 1977-1990 album) Joseph Williams, Lead Singer (1986 - forward) They never had consistent lead singer because Bobby Kimball, Steve Lukather and David Paich all took turns singing lead. Then when bobby left, they worked to find a replacement and finally found one in Joseph Williams (son of composer John Willams). Great band with a rich history. Note that there are three Porcaro brothers who played in Toto. Jeff was considered the CEO of the band.
Steve Lukather is one of the greatest ,Underrated ,Guitarists of all time ,currently playing with Ringo Starr's All Star Band, also has some great Solo stuff, and also with Los Lobotamys....just sayin'.
Joseph Williams even co-wrote the song with Toto's main songwriter and keyboardist David Paich. A very jazzy but typical 80s disco-friendly produced track. I often mix up Toto with Chicago... this song proves it could be a hit by both bands :D
RIP Fergie
Lead Vocalist Joseph Williams helped his dad compose the Ewok Celebration score for the ending of Star Wars Ep VI: Return of the Jedi. Very talented family.

Yes, Bobby Gimball was their first. Along with Steve Lukather leads on a few hits.
@@seanswinton6242 Don't for get David Paich. All three of them took turns. And it's Kimball.
Bravo.
Compliments of the SUPER 70S!
Kimbell was the voice of Toto but was replaced by Josh Williams. Later Kimbell returned after sorting his personal life out. He stayed with Toto until his voice deteriorated. Williams was invited back and is still with Toto to this day. Kimbells health has deteriorated of late.
And let's not forget the great drumming of the late Jeff Porcaro....one of the best drummers of all time..
Jeff was such an amazing drummer.
This band literally consisted of some of the most important figures in music history
He was just brilliant…..often imitated…..can’t be duplicated! ❤❤❤❤
You are so right. Toto was so many amazing talents. Of course my favorite also Mr. Lukather.@@barbarabonnette2705
Nobody grooved like Jeff! That’s for sure!
The great Joseph Williams on lead vocals, still with them today! This is the first Toto song you’ve heard him sing and you’d LOVE “Stop Loving You”. He’s also famously the singing voice of Adult Simba in The Lion King
yes stop lovig you is absolutely amazing!
Toto has always been one of my favorite bands
Toto has had many lead singers. Bobby Kimball, Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams..... This one is Joseph. Such a good song! And many more to discover.
The original lead singer, Bobby Kimball had departed. This was Joseph Williams, also a great lead singer! Please come back with I'll Supply The Love! An absolute Toto masterpiece! You won't regret it.
By departed, you meant to leave the bank, didn't you? Kimball is still alive.
@@dougbontz7761departed doesn't always have to mean somebody passed away.
Yes!
Joseph Williams dad is the great John Williams, yes that John Williams!
Williams is currently fronting Toto again on their last tour.
Another awesome song from Toto. I'm still waiting for "I Won't Hold You Back." It's a great ballad by Toto.
IMO "I Won't Hold You Back" is one of the greatest ballads by ANYONE of that time. Beautiful and underrated. It would be an excellent choice to react to.
Not only my favorite Toto song, but my favorite song period. It stole my soul the first time I heard it. I still get goosebumps.
The live 1990 Paris version is so good.
One of the greatest ballads ever
This is my most favorite song of Toto's. The singer, Joseph Williams is the son of the Great John Williams, the composer (also conductor, pianist, trumpeter) of so many movie scores such as the Star Wars series, Fiddler On The Roof, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Superman (Richard Donner) series, Indiana Jones series, E.T. See all that confetti? That's the leftover of my mind having been blown over the John Williams realization.
@@erniewyles8832 I hear ya there !!! His (Joseph) voice is just one of the reason it's my favorite song of theirs, but it's a big one!
I've always loved Toto and rediscovered them during the pandemic! This song has a jazz quality to it and is sung by Joseph Williams, who is currently touring with Toto.... he still sounds great!!

It peaked at #22 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also reached #9 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.
Till The End Rocks Out As Well . . .
Straight From The Heart Also Rocks Out Hard . . . :-)
'Stop Loving You' is another great song from this album, The Seventh One. Their best album for me.
Great funky song! Yes, do more! "Stop Loving You"., "I'll Supply The Love", "Stranger In Town". Ballads "99" & "I won't Hold You Back".
All excellent choices!
Toto has also been add to what is call garage band sound among many other styles
One of my favorite Toto songs!
Toto is my favorite band ever! I would highly recommend listening to more of their music. Thank you for giving them some love.
This is one of my favorite Toto songs! Love that you did this one!! They have so many good songs.
One of my favourite Toto songs…..you need to listen to “Stop Loving You”, it’s the companion song to Pamala….his vocal is even better.❤️🇨🇦😎
There are a couple more songs from Toto you should react to
1. Stop Loving You (very similar to this song)
2. Till the End (Paula Abdul dancing in this one)
After the song is over- and they're just jamming- they are better than any band out there today!!
Hey loves! So glad you did this one; no one ever remembers it and I love it.
Toto = BRILLIANT!
What a weekend that turned out to be 😎❣️
nice. i’ve only got 5 times
I would like to suggest a song by Toto, called "99" kind of a ballad, beautiful , big hit for Toto
Love the show
Once you get a taste of well produced music……you can never leave! 😊
Lets just talk about Jeff's fill at 4:06 Absolute legend! The jazz shuffle is sublime!
One of the truly great chorus melodies of that era.
James Pankow, trombone player for Chicago, was part of the studio horn section for Pamela.
Africa Bobby Kimball and David Paich. Rosana and Hold the line Bobby Kimball
@@fredriknilsson6042 Steve Lukather also sang lead on Rosanna
I've been watching your channel for a while now. Your positive energy is so refreshing. Thank You so much for making me smile.
Awesome reaction guys 🎉 🔥🔥. Joseph Williams is the lead singer on this song, and he is the son of one of the famous movie composer, John Williaxms. ❤
Funny thing I must mention to you guys. This is one of my favorite songs and videos of Toto. However, I just realized a few months ago, the guys in the shadow playing horns is the band.
Joseph Williams the lead singer in the video is the son of famous composer John Williams
John Williams, legendary!
Great reaction Jay and Amber - Of the ones you haven't heard "I won't hold you back" is a pretty powerful ballad I think you'd enjoy. Some of their earlier songs "I'll Supply the Love" and the mysterious "99" are also worth a listen.
I suggested I Won't Hold You Back too. It is my favorite and is one of the rare times that Steve Lukather, Toto's guitarist, takes lead vocals.
Can't go wrong with Toto. Awesome reaction guys. Don't forget ''99'' it's another banger.
Toto - So underrated, top top notch musicians and vocalists, session guys -- Jeff Porcaro's a legend to any drummer, played with Sonny & Cher, Boz Skaggs, and many others, RIP
Enjoying this ! Toto is my all time favorite band; cant pick a favorite song though 💕 been to all concerts in Denmark the past 20 + y
Fantastic song! Always loved it. Impossible to not start moving. Amazing vocals as always, Joe. Toto is beyond talented.
Once upon a time, it was my job to go to concerts. I have always said, and few believed me, that from a musicianship standpoint, Toto was the best show I have ever been to. I saw them in 1985, and it's still true today.
Yet another TOTO masterpiece!
Brillant musicians, singers, and songwriters! Definitely can't put them in a box!
IM GLAD YOU GUYS FINALLY DOING MORE TOTO.
Awesome! Jay and Amber, you made my day! Been waiting for a reaction to this video. Has one of my favorite guitar and keyboard solos. Plus, the horn section.
nice to see a different track of Toto being reacted to. The late Jeff Porcaro on drums and probably their best album
This song I've heard 100 of times, toto is one of my favorite bands.
Is funny to me how, when I was a teen in the 80's, this was the must pop, comercial, every day song that you could hear in the radio. 😅
I now appreciate the art and mastery of the band.
Glad you like It.
I haven’t heard song in years! And, it’s funny how the words come back to you! 😂
Love Toto! ❤️
Toto "Make Believe" would be a great reaction song!
Imagine getting this back in the 80s driving at night…
One of my favorite songs of Toto I loved it before my wife who is met years later named Pamela! Anytime we are in the car we have this song on our Playlist!
Toto are top level musicians behind so many other artists !
Just found you guys! The beauty of watching your true reactions to these fabulous songs is priceless! Especially your love to the 70’s! Love you 🥰
Aren't they great? So positive, and really appreciating the lyrics, vocals, and instrumentation. I'm so glad I found them and the family.
Girl Goodbye is an absolute rocker. You’ll love it!
Two absolute bangers you’d love from them: “Goodbye Elenore” and “Girl Goodbye”. Those two tunes are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I will add these to your list:
Tale of a Man (1997- part of their 20th year compilation)
In A Word (same album)
Gift With a Golden Gun (1981- Turn Back)
Make Believe (1982- Toto IV)
Mama (1979-Hydra)
English Eyes (1981-Turn Back)
I Think I Could Stand You Forever (1981-Turn Back)
I could name more but some diamonds are better discovered on one's own...😊
"Stop Lovin' You" from this same album, The Seventh One, is another great track. It's got a surprise backing vocalist.
The ONLY group you would need on a deserted island!! They have the most diverse music catalog of any band!!
And God Bless You ...for your endeavors 👍👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️✝️...So many American,European ,and Canadian artists to explore like Gino Vanelli ,and a huge volume of Australian Artists to explore !!!
As much as I absolutely love this track, I like Stop Loving You (from this same album) even more.
I love me some Toto. One of my favorite bands of ALL TIME!!!! I have many of their songs on my walking playlist. Forgot about this banger, its going on my playlist right now!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
WOW….first time hearing this particular TOTO track. It’s now my favorite of theirs!
Toto is: Jeff Pocoro - Drums (Died in 1992)
David Paich - Piano/Keyboards, Vocals
Steve Lukather - Guitar, Vocals
Steve Pocaro, Synthesizers (left the band in 1987, came back for later touring)
David Hungate, Bass (left the band after Toto IV in 1982)
Bobby Kimball, Lead Singer (Left the band during recording of their 5th album Isolation, in 1984)
Mike Porcaro, Bass (Joined the band after Toto IV in 1982, Died in 2015 of complications due to ALS)
Fergie Frederikesn, Lead Singer (October 1984 - through 1985)
Jean-Michel Byron, Lead Singer (Four tracks on their Past to Present 1977-1990 album)
Joseph Williams, Lead Singer (1986 - forward)
They never had consistent lead singer because Bobby Kimball, Steve Lukather and David Paich all took turns singing lead. Then when bobby left, they worked to find a replacement and finally found one in Joseph Williams (son of composer John Willams). Great band with a rich history. Note that there are three Porcaro brothers who played in Toto. Jeff was considered the CEO of the band.
Thank you, for getting your information correctly. 👍🏻😃
Steve Lukather is one of the greatest ,Underrated ,Guitarists of all time ,currently playing with Ringo Starr's All Star Band, also has some great Solo stuff, and also with Los Lobotamys....just sayin'.
Couldn’t agree more! 👍🏻😃❤️
I love this song. 🎵 it's one that you don't want to end
Joseph Williams even co-wrote the song with Toto's main songwriter and keyboardist David Paich. A very jazzy but typical 80s disco-friendly produced track. I often mix up Toto with Chicago... this song proves it could be a hit by both bands :D
loved it; would stop and listen to this one every time I hear it out and about!!
