    Tony, because my car is the same lenth as yours this small yellow one in Tasmania (mine is KIA Picanto!), I have the question for you: those two long pieces of wood in front are based on what place? On a front seats?? ('Legs' are too short for being on a floor). If on seats it could be devastating for seats condition (or for a plastic on a side door). From the back the support is the wooden container with a kitchen equipment, I guess. So, how did you solve the front stability? Greetings, Z :)

    • @TonyFlorida
      @TonyFlorida  3 роки тому

      The two long pieces of wood rest on the seat 3:42. This is okay for stability because the surface area of the 2x4 that rests on the seat is large and is wrapped in duct tape. You could always increase the surface area to minimize damage to the underlying seat.

      I just converted mine over to very similar sized box in the back. But roughly 12"H x 38-1/4W, x 28 (?) Deep. But the rear is not completely flat. But this is also for a 2014 Chevy/Holden Spark. I don't know if older, or earlier models change up in the interior in the back. Plus, the bottom floor isn't flat, you will have to add shims on the low side to keep everything flat, and even. I'll post pics/video in a few weeks. Only tools I used was a circular saw, drill, and screws. My set up is slightly different as the slats don't have pins to slide into. I just added tiny braces with gaps. Just big enough for slats to slide into.

      @@TonyFlorida so I basically did the same conversion, but SLIGHTLY different. I utilize the headrests, with the slats, and tension fit them into the dashboard. Meaning I put the headrests on the seats, lay down the slats, then I push the headrests towards the dashboard. This pushes the slats up, and keeps them in place. ( Between dash, and headrests. I'll provide video later. ) Rest of build is the same, going to try it out this weekend or next.
