Welcome to iTripReport's flight reviews, which I focus on reviewing both the soft product and hard product of airlines around the globe. By the looks of it this as well as next week's video will be my last videos for the time being. I really hope you guys enjoy them, stay safe out there. I'll start uploading again once its safe to do so! I also wanted to take a minute to thank you guys, as last month was my 6th year on UA-cam, I goal I never pictured I would make it to. I often fly Alaska to the Hawaiian Islands, and they are AMAZING. Of course, nothing can beat Hawaiian Airlines, but Alaska is a close second. The flight attendants are always in the aloha spirit, with leis and flowers to complete the feel. Unless turbulence interrupts, there is always a three round full drink and food service, with additional water walk throughs. On one red eye from Maui, I couldn't sleep. So, when I went back to talk with the flight attendants, they invited me to play card games, and one even taught us how to tap dance! As always, amazing crew and excellent service!

Just flew round trip to Honolulu via Alaska and it was great!
Long Beach though not as big also has a similar curfew. I had flights depart at 6:50, but the pilot told us the runway opens at 7 and would hold. If we were the first flight, there would be a line of maybe 4 or 5 planes behind us.
Flew Alaska first class on the e175 from Fresno to LA. We fly from CA to Ohio every summer and first class It too much cross country right now but I'm glad you did this review because Alaska premium is pretty reasonable right now. Fresno to Seattle then onto Pittsburgh. All 737-800s
Before the current situation standards but as of February 2020 (my last flight with them in Premium), Alaska has since removed the premium class snack option in favor of just using main cabin's selections. Complimentary beverages still remained at the time, so I appreciated this look back to when there used to be Kind bars :)
I'm a huge fan of your videos as they gave me a good idea of what to expect when onboard when I started flying years ago. You take care during this time as well. I am curious/anxious to see how different/permanently reduced on-board service will be at the end of all this.
My family only flies Alaska if possible! We love their friendliness and flights to Hawaii are enjoyable with same amenities and extra special Hawaiian drinks like pog and I’m not sure if they still serve mai tais but they used to

Since I am a retired airline pilot (UAL) these videos fascinate me. WHY do you do it? I mean...I know the industry...since COVID-19 I have no idea what we will recover in terms of "normality"...it won't be the same until some years pass....

Are you allowed to use the lavatory in the front, first class area, when you purchased the premium cabin or you still have to walk all the way to the back at the economy lavatory?

What replaced the Lei livery was the "Spirit Of The Islands" livery.
Honestly I kinda did wish Alaska would do it to 737-800 series as well how they did to 737-700 by adding amazing mood lightings it’s unfair that only three has Boeing sky interior while all others are plain old ones but I still like the seats tho they are quite similar so only mood lightings should have been done to match the fleet

Mostly accurate report. However, there is NO extra fee to do a pre order for food!!! NO FEE!!
Alaska Air always does at least two service runs. Sometimes even a third on the long flights across the US.
What makes me an expert on Alaska Air, you might say? I've traveled with them about 10+ times a year for the past 16 years. I have also traveled with other airlines but no where near as frequent. Alaska Air is HANDS DOWN the airlines with the BEST customer service. I would say that American is a close second though!!
Is the Premium seats in the 737-900 the same as the 800? I have a flight in July with all legs upgraded to premium

question for you. ive never flown Alaska. Im planning a trip out of san diego as well. Would you recommend them? Its either them AA or United. Let me know your thoughts
I personally highly recommend Alaska over american and United, especially due to the much added legroom when compared to the other two carriers!
I have flown Alaska from Chicago to Seattle in 2007. That was my 3rd time to fly. It was a day of torture! We had a 5 hour flight delay due to them repairing air system! They had to abort take-off twice! It was scary when they had to abort! Plane lurched to a stop and turn quick right off the runway! Flying from Seattle to Chicago was a much better trip after our family cruise trip to inside passage of Alaska.
