Having viewed this video a while ago, I ordered a ghost pro set from mad bob to play around with on some old locks I have replaced. The picks arrived this morning. I've never used a lock pick before. A few seconds with a hook in a 5-pin Union - nothing. Tried a Bogota rake in a 6-pin Union oval cylinder, opened within 30 seconds three times in a row. That put a big smile on my face. So thanks Bill for reviewing these picks and for making all those good-quality well-lit well-focussed well-framed entertaining and educational videos!
@Bosnianbill I have spoken to Mad Bobs and they are absolutely over the moon with your review of the Ghost Pro tactical set. they are inundated with orders and interests. However they have come to a shortfall in supplies being a small family business. Anyone interested should maybe wait a while for them to catch up with production. PS. I donated towards the cost of the Ghost pro Tactical picks review. Spend it on Locks Bill... LOL

Did he pay for the £11 extra option to have the picks hand finished or is this the 'standard' set? Not sure if the pricing options have changed since this video was posted.
FancifulBrian i think a lot has changed since the video i have a little suspicion that they went the extra mile on bills to get the review.
Got a set today and the case is no where near as good snd i don't really get on with them at the moment,i will probably flatten the tips a little as they are very rounded.
I orderd them when the video came out and there where no option for hand finish and got them in that condition as bosnianbills where. I think they did that because of how many custumers they got so it backordered alot and long waiting times so you can get them unfinished earlier or wait extra for hand finish.
Just wanted to say thankx Bill. I've been a tinkerer my whole life and have been facinated by locks and keys since I was 5. One day I stumbled upon one of ur videos and it was like my life made sense all of a sudden. Since that day I started making my own picks and tension tools and have purchased some here and there when I can. Because of ur videos I've actually gotten fairly decent at lock manipulation. Since my injury last year on a High rise construction Jobsite that pretty much took away my ability to make a living, along with not being able to perform my Union Carpenter job I love so much ur tutorials have given me something to do and look forward too instead of feeling sorry for myself. I love learning new things and techniques. Thank You again so much. I look forward to when I get a notifications of new videos u post and seeing new tools that are available. Hopefully one day I'll be lucky enough to win a set u no longer need. I find myself spending more time making picks instead of actually picking locks because I always break my homemade ones but that's been fun too. Again thank u.

THAT KIT LOOKS GREAT!!! CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY HANDS ON IT. JUST FOUND YOUR UA-cam SHOW AND LOVE IT, VERY DETAILED AND TO THE POINT.
I work as a janitor in a residental complex so I made some picks from feeler gauge blades to pick the locks on basement storages when the residents ask me to help them to open the lock for them. it is really nice with picks you can have on your self all the time, instead for getting bolt scissors. but it is a real pain when you put almost hours on them only to accidently bend out of shape.

This is a really nice kit!
I've been looking around for something to start out on that is not too expensive but will also last a good while. This might just be the one. The case is an added bonus.

Bill, Thanks for the amazing videos. Over the course of the past month I have been an absolute fiend absorbing all the knowledge I can about locks. I have a few theories about ways to improve locks and maybe even make one very challenging.
So today I ordered this exact set, very excited to get it. Although if it had not been for your review I might never known the quality it seems they put into their picks because their website doesn’t show the detail that you did. Thanks for the great review! Nice video, I checked out the site and it said the ghost kit is handmade by the Madbob team and with lifetime guarantee, nice to see confidence in their product.
Just ordered a set of these with standard finish however there could be a 5 week wait but I'm not too fussed over that if the quality is remotely like the set you received!

That's a sweet little kit. I'm just getting started in this sport, only have a thin knife/decoder. This would be a great start to actual picking.
Pure artistry! That S-bend must provide an extraordinarily high reach at the tip while the flowing shank avoids the keyway and warding. I sure hope they rev-up production because they're about to be swamped with orders.
