Tbh, always felt like the old name could be heavy for some people, especially those who have lost loved ones to suicide. Thank you for this update. Though it might not catch on with the whole community, I think it's quite a tasteful name.

My friend whoever you are, thanks for the insane amount of work you've put into this channel. You've been my primary source in this hobby for at least a year though I admit Dylan Kowalski hooked me on 5a. For which I have excellent equipment but remain abysmal.
I don't follow many of his tutorials but Dylan is really good and he has a lot of more niche tutorial stuff like anodizing yoyos and whatnot.

I am not making this up. I was JUST thinking early this morning that this was a trick name that maybe should be changed. Then Docpop posted his "History of Skin the Gerbil" video and I watched that while eating lunch and he talks about the trick "Skin the Cat" changing to "Tidal Wave" and then I get home and see this.

Yes I can. I've been working on that one. It is difficult, even once you can do the trick well, to pin point exactly what makes it work. I'll keep plugging away at it.
Hey, can someone help me out with this one? The yoyo keeps binding and coming back to my hand (and my fingers, ouch!) when I'm trying to open up the loop
I have 2 guesses. 1, your yoyo may not be unresponsive, or not perfectly unresponsive. 2. You may not be throwing a breakaway to get into the Trapeze. If your yoyo is not perfectly unresponsive it will come back when you attempt this trick. If you are not throwing a breakaway then your yoyo is setup for a bind when you get into the trapeze, so when you attempt the trick it executes the bind you have setup.
Man, I'm still trying to learn to throw a Trapeze with my Glide XP 😂

The original trick is called Suicide. I'm assuming they have into problems with teaching people a trick called Suicide, so they renamed it.

Partly, yes. Seemed like a good excuse to change it to something better.
Slackiside has been needing a rename for a while, for a few reasons. It's not something we should be joking about, but discussing seriously and earnestly.
The "we're going to be demonitised" argument is a thing, but I doubt that's a main reason they've done this. It's also a useful excuse to sidestep the actual discussion on the old name. That discussion is not super appropriate in a seven minute video on how to use a children's toy.
If you still think that they've done this for profit, check back here in a day or two as news of this video goes out. We will see experienced players pop in and say thanks for the change.
