- Some achievements/trophies are rare and hard. Some are rare and easy. Here we will dive deep into the strange world of the rarest of the rare that happen to be painless to unlock.
This video is a follow-up of sorts to my hardest achievements video, so you may want to watch that one ( • What is the Hardest Ac... ) first to get more familiar with the TrueAchievements/Trophies system and some of the iconic hardest achievements/trophies out there. But it’s not totally necessary.

7:39 it's not that people don't play Halo 4's campaign that much, it's just how specific an achievement it is.
Watchers are only present on like 5 levels and are a pretty rare sight as it is. Only the very last level has only Promethean enemies. They're also exclusive to Halo 4, whereas literally everything else except Skirmishers are in 3 games at the very least.
This isn't completely true, by 2014 Spartan Ops had been added to MCC. And there are a lot of Watchers in several of those missions. If anything the main barrier to farming there is that it's in theory a multiplayer mode.
@@mirdordinii5783 True, but Spartan Ops isn't exactly popular and you still won't encounter nearly enough Watchers to even come close to any of the other enemies
@@tTaseric Sure but, my point it it's far more than just five levels. Idk know how many of the fifty SpOps levels feature promeathians but it's probably around 50%. And some of the wave events on the levels tent to spams watchers. So concevably rack up some pretty big numbers just going through those levels if you chose to.

I'm playing back through old ps3 games to plat them. Just finished infamous last night. I use psnprofiles to track my trophy progress as well as use their guides. As I looked through some of my old games that I might want to plat, I'm saddened to see that some are literally unattainable due to an online trophy and the servers being long shut down. Could make for an interesting video looking at trophies that are surprisingly unattainable and those that are still possible. Or maybe the least amount of time you could achieve a trophy due to a very short online life-span.
Something interesting I learned is that it is impossible to plat Mad Max from a fresh start on the ps4, but you can still plat GTA IV on ps3.
I feel your pain. It would be great if unattainable online trophies/achievements just disappeared from the game or automatically unlocked, but sadly that will never happen.

Before I clicked on the video I realized that basically all grindy achievements can be considered.
I remember watching your videogame science videos in like 2016 ur so underrated i always thought u had like a million subs bc ur so entertaining and ur mic quality is so good
Some I've noticed: Keymaster, Dragon Age Inquisition. Difficult? It requires you to go through the majority of the game, explore each map to find every last occularum shard, but can be done on any difficulty, and the shards don't require a puzzle or challenge to complete. So... it's not too hard, just tedious. It takes a long time, but difficult doesn't equal tedium.
One even more surprising from True Achievements (apparently even lower than Belle of the Ball at the moment of writing, an often sited difficult achievement for Dragon Age Inquisition) was Botanist, with 12% on true achievements. It requires you to harvest 50 plants from the garden. These plants can be helpful in getting extra random resources so you don't need to head out to forage or buy them. However, I will fully admit this was one of the last achievements I completed on the PS4 because I didn't use the garden often, I never was in absolute need of any particular plant. I believe I got the Keymaster achievement before I got Botanist. It isn't difficult at all, and can be done in about an hour or two if you're grinding for it.

Oh its super easy, barely an inconvenience.
I guess achievement hunters can be split into 3 groups:
1. Hardcore gamers - they only go for achievements that are actually challenging so obviously they would miss the easy one that you have to go out of your way to get.
2. Collectors - if they are going for the achievements, they would want to get every single one of them, they go for 100%. You would think this means that they would get these obscure easy cheevos, but no! They probably look at the hardest ones first and if they realize that they wouldn't be able to 100% the game (too difficult overall, or too time-consuming, or too much multiplayer-based trophies) then they wouldn't even bother.
3. Casuals - they just like the general feeling of trophies. They just like getting small rewards for doing things. If they can do an achievement, then they probably will go out of their way for it. So they would probably get all of the easy and medium cheevos, but not the hard ones.
So, there. That why these are so rare, only a third of the players might even bother to look at them. Well, not actually third even, like you said, these "True" sites are mostly for dedicated people, most actual casuals won't even bother with those sites, or know about them

Just so you know Insert Coin was a bugged achievement for at least a few weeks after launch of IW what made it much worse is like 90% of the playerbase just kinda stopped playing after it was patched or didn't care about the achievement. I remember going for the achievement at launch just to get all the achievements cause I had nothing better to do then learning the hard way it was bugged.

I remember getting the Storyteller achievement 5 times across all platforms Xbox 360, Xbone, PS3 and PS4 and Steam, and because I'm compulsive I got it legitimately each time. The most annoying thing was how the game would effectively take up hard drive space for an entire year as a result.
I 100%ed The Spuderwick Chronicles on the Xbox 360 within 16 hours (including sleep), and returned it to Gamnestop the next day claiming it was too short *which they accepted as a valid excuse).
I think too many people have the LASO achievements, there was an exploit a few years ago in MCC where you could join someone else's LASO playlist in coop on the last level and it would give you the achievement, i recently tried halo 2 LASO and I was stuck on Cairo station for like 3 hours so it's easily the hardest achievement I ever got
Next, pls do Plattform exclusive Avchievements. I mainly play on Xbox, so i just know some that are xbox exclusive.
For Example: 1.Outlast (ENERGISER) Finish the game in Insane Mode without reloading the camera; 2. Hollow Knight does have one or two; 3. Owerwatch have some (Event Achievements);

I have all those Worms WMD achievements you've mentioned, awesome game, but many people bought it solely for online/couch multiplayer and ignored campaign.

Don't you have somewhere else to be from We Happy Few is a really easy one with a really small unlock rate for some reason. It can literally be done within the first ten minutes of playing.
What I hate is in halo mcc usually there are achievements that are play this game on this day. There are quite a few of those

I was surprised with how rare a lot of Skyrim’s achievements are. Like kill a legendary dragon. It’s not hard to power level, the game is fun enough to have people do it, and it’s super rewarding. I think mods are the only reason it’s not completed more 😂
Torment Tides of Numenera: Despised
Think it had a 0.2% unlock rate on steam when i got it, rarest achievement of the game. Laughably easy. I struggled hard with some achievements of this game but despises you can get in a few minutes.

The reason for the bloodborne platinum being so common is due to it being quite unambiguously the easiest fromsoft platinum
ds1 has a pretty reasonable grind associated with it (iirc it took me around 60 hours)
ds2 and ds3'ss grind's are much longer, especially if you don't have internet access
sekiro is just a damn hard game
idk about elden ring
but bloodborne's platinum just requires you to beat bloodborne 4 times and do the chalice dungeons which altogether isn't really that bad (like 40 hours of pretty pleasant gameplay)
