Yes hopefully the smoke meta is toned down a lot with the removal of backpacks. When 90% of gunfights are just in the middle of smoke it’s not enjoyable to watch or play. Use and manipulation of cover/ coordination with teammates is so much better. I get use of smoke is good for certain situations but when it’s used as a crutch it just takes away from the gameplay. Map adjustments could also help so people didn’t feel as reliant on them.

Appreciate the perspective. Comp warzone is boring as heck in my opinion. Watching 3 really good players stumble over each other for 25 minutes or so isn't fun. They all use the same guns, they throw smoke wherever they go outside, and they spam grenades and streaks. I recognize the talent I just don't want to watch it. For competition, I think they need to get rid of smokes or just nerf them so bad no one uses them and get rid of streaks. Let's see some actual gun fights. Also, let's have a meta that has a number of viable guns so that it's not 120 players running Static with STG with Jak optics. Predictable and boring. Lastly, they need to get serious about cheaters. Ranked is a disaster for cheaters. Who wants to sweat their butts off and get beaten by someone clearly using walls. Pubs are fun but the SBMM is cranked up so bad that unless you are a top 1% player, your K/D doesn't really benefit from practice. Ok, I'm done with the rant. Thanks again for the vid :).

I understand what you are trying to say i have been around the sim racing Esports scene for years and the average Esports driver is so much faster than normal drivers in a pub lobby that ppl dont understand how, but when you go watch a Esports race there will be 20 drivers separated by less than 0.5seconds. The problem is with warzone tho is SOME of the content creators are above average but masking as top tier. I watch guys like Benny playing pubs and i can tell by his movement and his gunny that he is clearly not top tier but he will drop 30kills in a lobby of players crouch walking everywhere and then pretend its because he's elite when anyone who has a decent KD or has played Cod for a long time, like i have, knows when someone is VPNing or in constant BOT lobbies. Then they will get invited to tourny's be paralyzed with fear on the map because they know that on pure talent they dont belong there and it hurts the integrity of the competition and just makes it less competitive and thats why a lot of ppl dont take Warzone seriously and you always see CDL players laughing at Warzone as a competition. If you took a team of 11 grown men and put them in a football league vs kids teams and they destroy all the kids teams so you then throw them in the premier league even tho they have never beaten any serious competition it would devalue the league, and thats what happens with warzone.
If you think counter strike pubs vs cs competetive is basically the same, you lost the plot….im sorry but the difference is magnitudes, cs public or normal ranked play vs competetive pro league is like 2 completely different games

This game takes zero skill, all it's boiled down to at this point is "who can abuse meta the fastest" MW3 is absolute aids to play in general due to the pure meta abuse that goes on - everyone is running the same 5 guns and spamming movement, competitive cod is a joke when compared to games like CS and Halo

This means some of your games are gonna have the top 1-2% of players, as the algorithm needs to give them “easy” lobbies from time to time to keep them playing. I’m in the same boat as you though. Died to the number 160 ranked player in the world with a similar kd to yours the other day.

The backpack removes the need to conserve plates, ammo etc. far more fun back in the day when you had to plan and work as a team

Smokes got completely nerfed for B06. The streamers at NEXT said they were unusable.

Quads is by far the sweatiest lobbies. If you que with duos into quads with squad fill off, the lobbies are totally different.
Quads mean if you are outnumbered you're finished.
