Just found your channel today. New subscriber. You have the beauty that matches with your intelligence. The beauty attracted to me here but it's your words and the brain behind those words that made me subscribed and stayed. It's the beginning of a new year so I wish you good health, success, and lots of money from UA-cam!

Great video Ashley. I was browsing around UA-cam to find other Kayak fishing enthusiasts and I happen to clink one of your links to watch your Kayak fishing in Albion, CA. I was watching another Kayak fisherman in that area today and he was catching some big red snappers. I was very intrigue by this area location and I thought this looks like somewhere in the Tomales Bay. You mentioned this was in Albion, CA. so I google it right away and there it was where there were a lot of campers camping out there. Anyways, I've never seen somebody like you Kayak fishing with lots of enthusiasm and excitement. You look like a very experienced Kayak fisherwoman who knew what you were doing out there. I saw that very large Lingcod you caught and it looked amazing. I really enjoyed watching your Video and I also watch your self documentary as to how you got started in your outdoors and fishing journey.
You have inspired a lot of your subscribers how to go Kayak fishing and your commitment in conserving and managing the fishing Hatchery. As for me, I love DIY and customizing Kayaks or do a reverse engineering on it which I've done on my 13’ footer Vanhunks Tandem Kayak. I took it to Santa Cruz, Monterey Bay to test my Kayak which is now I called a ROBOYAK/KAYAK Cruiser, Angler since I've added a 55lb thrust salt water Minn Kota motor to it. I've also added a steering cable assembly like the Sea Doo type of steering the Kayak and other things I've added to it. It handled pretty good on the rough water in Santa Cruz that day and I also tried fishing with my 10’-foot Okuma Sentara but unfortunately I didn't catch anything. Overall, my ROBOYAK's rigorous test performance on the salt water passed the tests. I'm hoping to learn more about fishing from your UA-cam channels. Love watching your Videos and thanks for sharing. God bless.

It was great to hear about your doctorate work. I am extremely interested in reforming how hatcheries are run. I lived on Lake Sutherland for 15ish years and love the Olympic Peninsula. If your interests include improving how hatcheries programs are run I'd love to get your input. Thank you for the quick trips back to my favorite place in the world. Cheers

@@BadAshOutdoors my most recent conversation was with Dave at the Dungeness hatchery. I also have a friend who lives on Indian Creek who builds boats in Port Angeles for a lot of the tribes. He allows them to come in and survey the stream and they have seen every species of cell monitor up at River end up into lakes Sutherland. It's pretty exciting because that will all be natural. We also established a sockeye run on Juanita Creek and Kirkland when I was in high school and I've been hooked since then. Starting November 9th every other Tuesday they will be collecting salmon for the Dungeness silver run. I'm planning to hit a couple of those just for fun but if you're interested maybe we could talk there.

I rarely comment, and I haven't watched every one of your videos, but of the videos I have watched they were enjoyable and well presented. Still my favorite of the bunch was the Dory fishing video. I like that so much that one of these days I'm going to go do a trip like that. It had all the elements I love in a trip...light tackle, smaller boat, not a ton of people on the boat, breaking the surf, launching and loading from the beach, and last but not least catching fish that actually taste really good. I would love to see another video or two with Kyle and you taking the dory to the fish. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

Great vid Ash! Thank you for your story, I think your an amazing person, beautiful woman!!! Incredible smile, great personality. You are doing all the right stuff to make this channel successful, just keep the videos going, I would do more river boating vids, and more how to, and gear vids. People are really getting into the catch and cook videos on location. It takes people away from the daily grind, and away from the world so to speak, especially during these times. As if they were there themselves. Puts a smile on their face, even if was for only 10 to 15 min. Then back to the grind.

This clip was so enjoyable. I have followed you and your journey for years. Sadly, I haven't been able to check off one of my bucket list items and that is to fish with you on tribal land. :(
One thing I would be deeply interested in is the history of OP tribal fisheries. Old school techniques, tribal rituals, the connection between the Quinaults an other OP PNW tribes with the land and water. One thing I really enjoyed about this video was that it was just you, no industry logo's and a focus on your journey. Well Done! Give Oly a smooch and a hug :)
