You have no idea how helpful this was, I'm making a model container ship and it's so difficult to see the materials the interior should be constructed from. Thanks for the vid mate!
Brings me good memories since my father used to be a merchant marine captain…this ships are very confortable and lot of activities…this were the best moments of my life travel with my father 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Tks
I traveled on the CMA CGM PUGET cross Atlantic 2017 . 45 days. Lived in owners cabin as well..ur ship seems much more updated, so be happy! It's definitely a different way to go. Food was great. Crew fantastic, I played much ping pong with them . Captain very cool as we're the officers.
Thanks! Here is a link to part 2. Because my camera cut off, the only part I missed was the officers mess and galley. ua-cam.com/video/h7Zkspf9Mdk/v-deo.html
A very rich accommodation. Haven’t seen so much woodwork on any cargo ship. Wish it would have been more slower to see all of it. The owner did have some taste in providing a better accommodation for the hard working crew onboard.
Thanks for interesting video - looks like a very pleasurable way to travel! (The kitchen on a ship is called the galley!) Oops further on in the video I see that you know that!
Very nice accommodations! I never realized that the ships were this nice! I guess I have seem too many nave ship movies! I am surprised how few people you encountered during the tour!
Whaaaaaat !thats the best Accomadation ive ever seen on a ship.Pretty sure shes more than 20years old.cz now they are giving so much space for cargo and dont think much about crew comfort
I have seen a few videos of cargo ships living quarters and yours is by far the nicest I have seen! You actually have a queen bed along with a ton of space and nice sliding glass shower! Plus your own patio! You are living good for a sea fairer!
Great tour- All these giant ships, even though they’re container ships, could put a little effort into making the swimming pool attractive instead of some crazy holding tank for a sea monster lol 9:59
I appreciate the video however please slow down next time so we can see the whole scene without feeling like we have to start running too. Thank you for sharing look forward to another take BUT SLOWER
Loved your video!!! Dont take notice of the haters, you cannot make everyone happy. Just wanted to thank you for your video, i enjoyed seeing everything. Take care.
My office is considering going work from home permanently. If we do (and if I can find an affordable hot spot that will work.) I'd love to do one of these long trips. Particularly the private deck area is really tempting.
Did I hear the word “Basement” while you’re on a ship? Also, those “Bar” things on the doors are known as “dogs”... you’ll find them on doors going to the outside... they are to help maintain watertight integrity and not so much to keep out pirates. Water is far more dangerous to have inside a ship than a few starving African pirates.
if you would have just searched the name of the ship, you'd have found out in less time it took for you to write your comment that the ship was built in 2006.
Actually this ship looks very nice. Roomy cabins. Better looking than on many cruise ships. Even a huge balcony. What's not to like? Tasteful interior. I might consider this. How do you get a ride on this ship?
If you is interested in container home plans the greatest results that i've ever had was by following the Magic Container Plans (i found it on google) without a doubt the most useful course i've tried.
*Paying €120/day ($140/day) is hell of expensive. There are cruise ships that are as low as $59/day. If I’m paying €120/day, there better at least be a handsome deck officer I can cuddle with!* 🌊🚢👨✈️😚💋 (I won’t use an egg plant or water emoji, I’m classy. Lol)
Hint for anybody doing a "tour" video: instead of walking over and standing next to things and pointing the camera at it for a brief second, stand in the corner of the room and slowly pan across while you talk about whatever's in the center of the image.
People go on cruises on container ships. Much cheaper than a commercial cruise, though I guess lack of entertainment is the reason it's cheap. I'd love a cruise on a container ship.
I really don't know you but I would say you might want to think about cutting back on the caffeine mate , otherwise nice video and thanks for sharing it with us all 👍
@@timcarey9610 you may have been given full access for yourself. but there is a reason people don't film on the bridge. Shipping routes are specific and pirating still happens.
SqueakBoxx not many pirates enroute from Canada to NYC, they gave me no restrictions at all regarding filming. If you are that concerened you should contact CMA-CGM. There are multiple other interior videos of cargo ships as well as military ships on youtube. So obviously its ok.
Hi! Very interesting video! I am planning to move from the US to Spain and I was thinking of doing it by cargo ship. Are there any luggage limitations? We are two and we want to take maybe 3-5 boxes with books, photos, some clothes and shoes, and small things with rather emotional value; no furniture or big stuff. Is the luggage charged extra? Thank you and good luck!
I have a question about the owners deck. Can Shareholders that own a high percentage of shares of the company go on that deck or is it only for the CEO.
Heard about CMA CGM new ship, but never knew that it was this huge. Question tho, are you actually allow to filmed/documentation everything there? Considering piracy.
camera motion is way too fast and chaotic .. couldn't watch most of it ... just in small segments .... nice accommodation .. try too slow down next time ...

It was awesome, Ill do an ocean crossing next.
Wow. Frankly speakring your room is much bigger than any hotel or cruise ship rooms I ever had. Looks great. Next plese do not hurry so much.
WOW!!!! JUST WOW!!!!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING!!!! Part work ship part hotel.......NIIIIIICE!!!!!! A happy crew is a productive crew.
What a cool video. Must be interesting to be on these cargo ships for months.
Absolutely stunning tour...
Looks like a 4* hotel.
Thks for sharing with us.

Great video! Even made it feel like I was actually on the ship with how fast you were moving the camera.
I'm ready to puke. This would have been so much better slowed way down.
Great! I was wondering wether to apply for a cadet, and your video answered crucial questions that were torturing me.
You need to close all doors quietly. There is ALWAYS someone on a ship trying to sleep!

Tjc Happy to here.

He said that was the was the owners suite.
@@cincinatus90 gotcha! That makes sense. I must have missed it. He must have a high rank on the ship

Those "owner accomodations" are crazy, what the heck? A patio and everything?
experiment506 yea, really nice. I had the entire F Deck to myself!
what an internal show of the ship video beautiful in your channel a hug from Italy
The way you move the camera I am getting seasick
Like the show Modern Family, annoying.
I felt like I was sneaking around in places I shouldn’t be 🤣
Your allowed to along as your not caught i work on a cargo ship as a merchant i walk around but ex the ships so big that i can hide from everyone
Yeah, this video reminds me of playing various Splinter Cell games and sneaking around on big ships.
Ótimo vídeo...deu pra ter uma idéia de como é por dentro de um navio mercante... parabéns

Ok Boomer. Dont complain about nothing. Just lower the speed to 3/4 or 1/2, so much easier.
Dick Fitswell: Shut up, idiot.
Bloody hell. Interesting, but like watching someone desperately trying to find the toilets, before they shit themselves!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
OMFG. Great
I really wouldn't mind living there for a few months.
Looks fun doesn’t it? What a life that must be.

I work at the container pier in Halifax. Cool video
Thanks!! My cruise was actually delayed from departing Halifax due to a broken gantry crane.
Awesome everything so clean

Maybe you could move the camera more quickly.
That way we cant see anything .
Good to see him at least asking permission to film, on the fly...
tx for the video my friend!!! :D
Nice camera
You seem stressed. Take it easy
Yeah Tim take it easy
Yeah Tim... slow down, there’s nothing else to do in the sea...
He's probably not supposed to be in half the places he's filming.
Maybe he's doing this video secretly
@@johndoe9450 Maybe he's not even supposed to be on the ship.
These ships are cool, especially the spiral staircase... you can play table tennis by yourself, just fold up the other table to a vertical position.
didn't think of that, i guess you could though

From the typical ceiling cladding, flooring and name tags the ship looks made in 80s but also looks well maintained.
if you would have just searched the name of the ship, you'd have found out in less time it took for you to write your comment that the ship was built in 2006.
80s or 2006,it is still a very big difference compared with the ships built lately in China/South Korea. They don't care about the crew anymore.
@@bjornegan6421 it looks made in the 80's though
Awesome and amazing 👍👍
Great video. Next time, maybe film less places, but go slower, so we can enjoy more?
Awesome vid, your cabin is sweet, thank you.
In my days on cargo ships you had a cabin to yourself with 4 others
Nice film buddy!
imagine being the only other passenger cabin, and this is what you get to travel with. Ii feel like I have contracted a neurosis just watching this
anonymonachos this is the dumbest comment I’ve ever seen on UA-cam
Pro videographer tip: try to move the camera around as much as possible so the viewer can’t focus on anything you’re recording.
that was my goal! thanks!!
And not puke

Wow superb 7 star hotel range
I should show you my Cabin on the in shore patrol vessel I work on, in the navy. Almost bigger than your library hahaha
Uh oh
Could we actually see this? I'm genuinely curious lmao
Someone buy this guy a gimbal for the camera already
Thank you Sir...Nice video and info...
We’re you a passenger on the ship or an employee? How did you get such a nice big room?
swimmer17485 passenger, both rooms were basically the same size so I got lucky. I would definatley recommend CMA CGM if your going to cruise.
That’s cool they let you just go wherever you wanted on the ship! Nice video!
swimmer17485 only place I needed an escort for was the engine room. Otherwise i could go wherever I wanted to. It was really cool.

Do ordinary seamen have to share accomodations? ( As anyone who's been in the U.S. Navy knows, junior enlisted have a common berthing space )

On a merchant vessel, 9 out of 10 times you have your own cabin. As due of regulations.

What do the accomodations cost? Does it depend on which port from which you embark and disembark?
The cost is a per night cost. Doesnt matter where you get on or off. I think it was @100 euros per night. All inclusive.

Holly, ur room is three sizes bigger than mine on board, and we don't get our own bathroom and there's no way having a bath tub.
