Made these with my nieces and nephew over the holidays. So much fun. Tip for rice, I put it in a pitcher and I cut off a 2 liter soda bottle to make a simple funnel that worked great and less mess.
So ADORABLE and how precious is your daughter.... and how BLESSED are you daughter to have your Momma spend one on one time ❤ priceless. Love Love love your snowmen...
With the Holidays so close, I'm glad that UA-cam suggested this video again. Seen it last year after Christmas so this year I'm ready. Thanks for sharing your art skills with us....
For adding the rice, you could use a canning funnel from the canning section at a store. The opening is nice and wide so no grains can get stuck as they would a regular funnel. Very creative and cute
I put a small amount of rice on the bottom then used that white fluffy filler stuff😁 and crocheted a mini scarf and hat couldn’t find Xmas fuzzy socks at the time😂
Just finished making my first snowman and he turned out SO CUTE! They're easy to make and don't take very long at all. I know what I'll be doing in my spare time! Thanks so much for the tutorial, you two - I've done a lot of crafting but can't remember ever being so happy with the result. Craft on, ladies!
Hey Sher & Megan.........thank you both so much for sharing this adorable Snowman carft......HOW CUTE ARE THESE :) You both did an excellent job on explaining the steps.......loved seeing all the Snowmen you made at the end of the video.......big hugs to you both XO
I made these with my grandchildren, (granddaughter 12, twin grandsons 10 & grandson 6) the Saturday after Thanksgiving. They had SO much fun & were SO creative, they all put their own spin on the snowmen. One of the twins cut a larger section of the colored sock & put it on like a shirt & made a smaller hat. He said he was a Polish snowman. My granddaughter fashioned eyeglasses out of pipe cleaners for one of the snowmen & added lots of bling to hers. I had another ornament planned which didn't go over as well, so I asked them if they wanted to make another snowman & they unanimously agreed they wanted to make another. They had SO much FUN!!! It was such a treat for me to do something that was so fun & enjoyable with them! This will be a tradition with them, I can't wait for our next craft day!!!
Awww hello Cher!!!! My full name is actually Sherylee, but most people pronounce it incorrectly so I just go by Sher!!! Much easier!!! 😘 Welcome to my channel! 💕💕💕
I made 200 of these for my daughter's wedding reception. Was a whimsical winter theme and the guests got to take them home. We had scarves tied around the chairs and the snowmen's scarves and hats were made of the same fabric. People loved it!
These are super cute but mostly I LOVE how you are doing this tutorial with your daughter!!!! I love how natural the two of you are, like you have invited us into your kitchen for craft night! Thank you!🥰
I love this project! Great to do with your children, grandchildren! I've always been attracted to those cute dollar store socks but never new what to do with them! They are adorable!
These are so cute!!.. Fun & easy to make. I love the fact your daughter and you do this together and so much fun doing it. It's a great way to bond.....thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you again for giving me inspiration to make these show people. I just had a group of girl friends over for a crafting evening and even though spring is in the air here we had so much fun making one and it was fun time see how everyone's personalities came out in their creations. Tip, we accidentally got men's big & tall size crew socks but they actually worked great and 2 of us even made 3 tiers so they are taller. We already planned another event to try making some bunnies next.🥚🥚🐇🐇
Those snowman are so adorable, great project. You two look like you had alots of fun making them. Great tips on the embellishments . I be making some soon, thanks for sharing.
Sandy Thibeault, aww thank you! We love making these little guys and have been for a few years now! Has become a Christmas tradition!!! 😉 TFW and happy crafting!! 💕
I used the foot part of the sock to make another snowman. I didn't fill it all the way so it was the same size as the other but you could fill it more to make a bigger snowman. I turned the foot part inside out and made the fuzzy part on the outside. It turned out cute!
I loved the snowman, so I had to create 1 ok 2 lol. I used goggle eyes and those orange airplane ear thung for the nose. Some bling and they came out so stinking cute I think.
LadySilke, that's awesome, love hearing that people are making these cute little guys!!! So nice of you, I bet the people in the nursing home will love them!!! TFW, happy crafting!!!! 💕
I haven't had trouble with ants, but it you are worried, you could use sugar free candies or peppermint essential oil - place several drops on a cotton ball, then place in the rice.
You two are soooo crafty! I love these snowpeople! All the lil details are too stinkin' cute!!! You 2 make a cute teaching duo.So co-ordinated.Megan popping into the frame at times is precious.Sorry she wasnt feeling well at the time.Thanx for sharing your technique...excellent video!

Hi Sher and Megan, thank you for making this video on how to make a sock snowman! I watched your video thoroughly a few times to help me create a couple of these snowmen, to make with the children at the Kid's Club at Whole Foods Market. The 2 kids that participated loved their snowmen. And, it's such a "joy"" to share this amazing crafting experience with children that can appreciate what it takes to create a nice decorative keepsake that they can look back on, and say, "I made this!"" :)

You can add one or two unwrapped peppermint candies to the rice. All animals and insects will stay away from the rice.
Tammy Rossitto good idea!
Tammy Rossitto what about ants ?
I haven't had trouble with ants, but it you are worried, you could use sugar free candies or peppermint essential oil - place several drops on a cotton ball, then place in the rice.
