Knowing how to use a controller is something we all take for granted, he is very patient and it's just something that takes practice. He really seems brand new to it which is fascinating to watch, especially knowing what an amazing chef he is.
This is totally true. Using a controller may feel second nature to us who've been playing for a while or since we were young, but for non-gamers it's hard because there's a certain dexterity needed to it
Even if that's the case we have to admit we got to enjoy this kind of vid or side of IronChefDad as a Dad because of his son.. It's pretty much different with him being the Susur Lee chef.. I'm glad his son did all this❤
It looks like a hairdryer to me. LOOOL I'm dying! As someone who also has zero familiarity with video games and the controllers as well, this is exactly what it's like when I try to play, you're not alone dad!
Props to your dad for keeping his arms stationary... My pops first time playing Nintendo - mario bros - his arms would follow the direction of mario. His arms would slowly move right or move up and down when mario would jump.. "dad. All you gotta do is use the directional pad and buttons and not move the whole controller!!" A fun experience with my pops. Great video!
This was super fun to watch. He's very right about the targeting issues with the UI and the learning curve for the UI. Would love to see a followup! (psst Overcooked 1 is better)
I recently have suffered neuropathy effecting my left index finger and thumb. I've been a gamer for years and let me tell you relearning a controller is tough business. A struggle I never thought existed. I appreciate this moment this video and are he is an awesome dad indeed very cool patient and humble. If he was genuinely interested in gaming he would master this with no issue. Dexterity is dexterity no matter how you chop.
the snap back from your dad is what all first time player experienced when paired with someone that played the game LOL (so many broken relationship over this game due to it)
I take my hat off to Jet’s awesome editing! I was literally in tears laughing the whole way through. I love that Jet doesn’t take away the focus from his Dad. Awesome video ❤😂
Dude, this is a golden moment... your dad handles the kitchen and you and a friend do the cooking he orders you around. Headchef style. He handles the orders and when/what you need to do... could be cool
5:55 the different background musics as we switch between characters was hilarious 😂 9:37 it was shocking and wholesome that he thought so few people would see and like the video that 500 would be a tough number to reach.
Play Plate Up! You can build your own restaurant layout with seating / equipment and cook in each level like Overcooked. I’d like to see how he decides where to place things and how he manages the kitchen.
Hey, controllers are not easy. It takes a lot of time and practice to get comfortable with them. All in all, I think the chef has done well. Seeing them to play together is so wholesome ❤
I could not stop laughing! XD This was so fun to watch! I really like that your dad was willing to play and try something that does not come naturally to non video game players. And it is good to see you have so much patience teaching him. This works so well and makes for a great time for all!
I wish we could get some more vids with Dad!!! I seen how fast this account grew and its all of only a small amount of vid and i think if Dad would incorporate this channel with him cooking at his restaurant and tours of his restaurants and stuff like that, he could gain so much business to the restaurants but also make a fortune of YT as well. Like a couple vid idea would be, testing new meals for the restaurant, kitchen tour of restaurant, and of course the Dad and son interactions like this!! I have a ton of ideas but i dont want to write a essay on here!! LOL love you guys!!!
LOLLL Love this video! Maybe you should have a piece of paper indicating which button is for what, like a cheatsheet, next to the screen so he has something to refer to 🤣👍❤
he was getting really good at the end its true for people that are using a joystick for the first time its hard precisely turning to certain direction maybe if it was left stick to move and right stick to look it would have been easier
This game is so hard to learn but this is so funny, I love that you two are hanging out together even if it’s also for views. I like to think that your dad is honing his digital chef skills right now in preparation for the battle to come 😂
I loved this😂😂😂 the 1st time I saw you was Iron Chef, but I started watching in the 90"s, "Tell me what you eat, and I'll tell you what you are." Flashback 😂 Good luck. I can't work those games. My kids tried, too 😂
I understand and feel you chef, same with me, in our age, really having a hard time playing this kind of game 😂😅, but i admire your son, patiently teaching you❤
Jet's brain can't comprehend somebody who worked irl instead of growing up in a video game. The fact that dad doesn't have the hand eye cordination for video games is something to be proud of, but this guy is just laughing at him with that weird mouth of his, go order some designer clothes with your dad's money
This was so entertaining to watch! Your Dad is awesome for giving it a go. Please make more Overcooked videos and eventually get your brothers involved for a 4 player game!
In fairness, I do believe this is how a panda would operate in a kitchen.
How dare you diss our dragon warrior?
@@SoothinglyUnbenouncedlol good one 🔥👏🏾 😊
😂

That what u think , im a pc gamer and id be more or less like him too
"this looks like a hair dryer to me" bahaha
Bro I only use mobile
I'm a gamer since birth still didn't touch a controller once 🤣
The editing is so good and I’m laughing my ass off because I feel your dad’s pain. So relatable. Dont do this to your father!! 😂
Hhaha yeah it's entertaining to watch and for many of us to play, but I would imagine it's a painful experience for him.
The first yeet sent me
For real 🤣🤣
Right? His father seems so sweet. 🥹
The patience is outstanding both for the teacher and the student. Really love their strong bond
Iron chef choosing a panda and getting excited over cooking rice is just mwah 🤌 👨🍳 💋
my man monetized his dad and it’s still so entertaining 😂
Think it works both ways, coz his dad has multiple restaurants, and the fame helps bring extra customers prolly.
Even if that's the case we have to admit we got to enjoy this kind of vid or side of IronChefDad as a Dad because of his son.. It's pretty much different with him being the Susur Lee chef.. I'm glad his son did all this❤
Love how he adored the Panda upon first sight lol
It looks like a hairdryer to me. LOOOL I'm dying! As someone who also has zero familiarity with video games and the controllers as well, this is exactly what it's like when I try to play, you're not alone dad!
The music when iron chef is chopping is legendary 😂
i need the name of this song
It’s called bubblegum k.k. :)
@@toastedgrams thank you 😊
"I want to be a panda" had me giggling, what a wholesome dude
Your dad is such a good sport. You guys look like you had a great time! So much fun to watch.
Bro I love how he just kept throwing stuff " yeet " 😂😂 love the video keep it up 💯🔥🤘
the editing is sooo gooooddddd im like actually crying
I love how joyfully his father takes the struggle and how much fun they have together. Lucky son, lucky dad.
“Wait. What is the novice??”
“The idiot.” 😂😂😂 The father teaches the son who teaches the father.
If you can get him to keep playing, i need to see more of this 😂
He will play again if this vid get 10k likes 😂❤

XD please. Please. PLEASE! Do more of this! I want to see him improve and master this kitchen space, its so wholesome
he is very patient I admire that in your father! Also pls do a part two this was so entertaining😂
There's vr cooking games, it would probably be much easier for your dad to learn. Controller or m&k tend to be very confusing but vr is more intuitive
a vr cooking game could be an interesting one to see him try
vr could be fun actually
It's so cute watching you guys play together 😆
Go Chef Dad go!
YESSIR
I honestly thought he'd be cooking food based on computer games. 😢
This was absolutely adorable and a delight to watch!! The editing just made it ten times better lmao
i laughed so hard… literally me throwing it and forgetting the button i just used 😂😂
This was super fun to watch. He's very right about the targeting issues with the UI and the learning curve for the UI. Would love to see a followup! (psst Overcooked 1 is better)

the sound effects are fckn killing me. 😂🤣🤣 He's doing great though! 👍💜
This is my favorite channel. His father is so chill lol
Currently at 8.3K
Looking forward to round 2. This was hilarious!!
I'm dying laughing every time he chucks a piece of food
GO IRON SHEF YOU CAN DO IT 🎉
You hit 10k likes! Time for part two 🔥
He definitely knows the objectives of the game, he handled far more complicated orders than those. It's just the controls. 😂
2:17 LOL watching the gaming for a non gamer videos really made me understand that we talk in a different language
I'm crying 😂 this is so good. More vids of him to play pleasseee
The best duo ever to exist! Your editing is soo perfect lmao..just the best videos with you two 😩❤❤❤
I take my hat off to Jet’s awesome editing! I was literally in tears laughing the whole way through. I love that Jet doesn’t take away the focus from his Dad. Awesome video ❤😂
Evvery time your dad threw some food on the floor I screamed laughing. Thanks for another excellent video!
this is so wholesome father and son interaction. You got to love this!
Cooking simulator could be interesting next choice, wonder if real instructions from irondad could translate in game lol
Dude, this is a golden moment... your dad handles the kitchen and you and a friend do the cooking he orders you around. Headchef style. He handles the orders and when/what you need to do... could be cool
I want a pt 2!! I'm dying of laughter! You guys are amazing lmao
5:55 the different background musics as we switch between characters was hilarious 😂
9:37 it was shocking and wholesome that he thought so few people would see and like the video that 500 would be a tough number to reach.
Need to see more of this. This is great.
Would absolutely LOVE to see him try Cookin Simulator in VR.

This is pure gold I haven't laughed this hard in idk how long love this

This video will be legendary
Your dad are so cute. I love how you both bond together.
There is sooo much patience in dad and son! Doesnt happen in every family! Bravo!
Your dad is such good sport.
He did so well for his first time using a controller!
Honestly he did great. First time using a controller is hard. He picked it up quicker than most boomers
When he threw the tomato and just quietly said “On sh*t”…..💀haha I’m dying over here
LOL I laughed so much in the first 2 minutes only; why is he throwing everything im crying

We def need a part 2😂
Love how your dad gets the Animal Crossing music while the son gets the epic music 5:50
It's hilarious lol
For real, moving in this game sometimes is hard lol
Chef you did an amazing job 🎉
"If you are always a winner I don't think you would like to play this game" legend
OH I LOVE OVERCOOKED SMMMMM AJJSJDJDJS
(the poor ironman 😭)
The way I couldn't stop laughing. 🤣🤣 It was dangerous to drink water while watching this.
Thank you for this video bro you made me laugh so hard, your dad is so lost playing that game 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 you knew this was going to be hilarious 😩
plate up next this is so wholesome
he was getting really good at the end its true for people that are using a joystick for the first time its hard precisely turning to certain direction maybe if it was left stick to move and right stick to look it would have been easier
overcooked 2 is too stressful but PlateUp! is so much more chill and still arcade like
Automated my coffee brewing and didn't need to move at all to pick orders
One of your funniest videos of all time. A+ editing lolll

Love to see what he would think of Cooking Mama. That's more like real cooking than this game.
The editing, sound effects, and zoom-ins had me rolling 😂
"looks like a hairdryer to me" ....😂
I love watching people that don’t play video games play video games so much 😂 awesome video
This needs to be a monthly video series with the video game thing. Rooting for Susur to get into the hang of it.
I understand and feel you chef, same with me, in our age, really having a hard time playing this kind of game 😂😅, but i admire your son, patiently teaching you❤
Make this a series plse. Turn him into a master chef, where it really matters
I’m surprised he didn’t choose Cooking Mama. That’s a *_classic._*😂
The editing makes this video.
He really should keep practicing! He'd have fun with it once he gets the hang of it and it'd give you guys something else to do together, maybe!
In 2001 I used to watch Iron Chef. An entire lifetime has happened!
2:26 Iron Chef : This is like the hardest kitchen I ever worked! 😂 Gold!!!!
He said it well when he said "you grew up with this." I'm glad he had the patience to really give it a go, though. This was a great watch :D
Why am I enjoying this. Lol we want more of this video

You should have your dad play the VR cooking game. That way he is using physical motions and it'll feel more natural!
I luved him in Iron Chef...... the bent lee era, IM LIVING FOR!!!
So wholesome love this!
I have literally seen this dynamic in kitchens before 😆😆😆
This was so entertaining to watch! Your Dad is awesome for giving it a go. Please make more Overcooked videos and eventually get your brothers involved for a 4 player game!
Omg I would LOVE to see him play Cooking Mama!
Was just thinking the same thing!
Him zoning out and not understanding is so hilarious, we really do take knowing how to play games for granted 😂 my parents are exactly this!
this was so fun to watch the editing is on point and loved the relationship 😂
you should do a series of “Iron Chef Dad Recreates Iron Chef Dish” where your dad recreates dishes from his time on Iron Chef 👨🍳 ✨
"this is the hardest kitchen I've ever worked in." Tremendous
i am cracking up! as someone who doesnt play games, i kept thinking THIS IS MEEEE
He needs to play Cooking Mama!!
I respect and love your relationship w/h your dad 🙌🙌
