Resveratrol can also be found in red wine vinegar and balsamic vinegar so if you can't afford supplements and don't drink alcohol give it a try! Posca is a very refreshing drink, and surprisingly tasty once you get past the initial acidic hit (aroma more than anything, it's actually not very sour for some reason. Tastes like weird, fruity mead)
You would have to drink 10,000 glasses of wine per day to get the amount of Resveratrol they’ve used in studies. The alcohol and sugar in red wine do far more damage than the trace amounts of Resveratrol would.
Practical takeaways you can implement immediately: Get good quality adequate sleep, exercise, eat well and ensure you are getting enough essential fats.
It would be Good If you Guys could Give 1-2 Daily Simple Practice at the end of each episode related to that topic which everyone can follow since not everyone can afford various drugs, tests n medicine etc.
Watch out with B6! I live in the Netherlands where they tested different brands of multivitamins. Although it showed 100 % of the daily recommended dose some did contain much more causing numbness in the tooth and fingers. B12 can also be obtained from spirulina and seaweed you do not have to consume meat
A Vegan Mediterranean+ diet is to consume grapes or fresh Grape Juice that include the skin of grapes (avoid wine to avoid the alcohol to avoid increasing the homocysteine levels), and olive as a whole food instead of the oil (missing nutritional benefits of whole olives).
David and team, Thank you for the continued commitment to optimizing life. A discussion on the Microbiome would be tremendous as I have struggled with GI issues (IBS-C) and believe I have been suffering with invasive candidiasis as I have recently taken fluconasole which provided relief not only in my stomach but also caused the pain and stiffness to go away from joints, back, shoulder, etc. I am 49 yrs old and have taken many antibiotics throughout my life predominantly for sinus related issues which may have caused this condition of excessive candidiasis in my body and am curious to know if there is a way to restore the microbiome and healthy bacteria to optimal levels without Fecal Matter Transplantation as this is not readily available in the US. I'd also be inclined to go away to a clinic of sorts for 30 days if you know of one that would provide the structure and support to restore the microbiome. Thanks again for all of your dedication and work!

Hi there - cut and pasting this for you from the comments section on a dasatinib article: Coeliac disease: After 14 years of IBD I discovered I had Celiac disease. But 1 1/2 years of gluten free diet had no effect. One dose of d+q and the IBD was immediately gone and has been now for 5 months. My theory is that the Celiac disease built up large quantities of senescent cells in the gut which continued to cause enough inflammation to continue the IBS even on a gluten free diet. For me the d+q was a life changer. (D = dasatinib Q= quercetin)

Thank you David and Mathew for an excellent series. Apologies if this was corrected later in the podcast, I didn't want to forget posting this. There is a slight error earlier on - vitamin B12 refers to the cobalamins not to folic acid. B12 is found only in animal products and faecal matter contaminated vegetables. There is some synthesis by bacteria in the large bowel, and some evidence of absorption, although I'm not aware of this being quantified. Folic acid is the term for synthetic folate, which is distinct from naturally occurring folates. Folic acid is in an oxidised form and needs to be converted to be biologically active, whereas natural folates in food are in their oxidised form. Folate, sometimes referred to vitamin B9, but not frequently, is mostly found in plants, although liver, being the storage organ, is also a viable source. I look forward to listening to the rest of the podcast.
Omega-3 fatty acids are plant oils. Algae (sea weed) is the best source of them. The only reason fish have Omega-3s in them is because they eat algae or smaller fish that eat algae. You can skip the fish and go direct to the source. There are a few companies that sell algae derived omega-3. The Only draw back to them at the moment is that because the volume sales is less than fish oils, the price is currently higher. You are less likely to get bio-accumulated pollutants from the algae derived oils than from the fish though. Pollutants increase in concentration the higher up you go on the trophic level.
@@corgising5606 You can get nutravege in liquid bottle form, not the capsules, that does not have Carrageenan. All other brands seem to have it., sometimes they hide it, by calling it "seaweed". Some Drs. and Scientists believe that Carrageenan is harmful to human health.
I always enjoy listening to Dr Sinclair discussing Longevity strategies, and applaud him for his work. Without criticizing him, I just want to draw attention to the discussion on B vitamins. At time stamp point 20:26, Dr Sinclair mentions that Folic Acid IS Vit B12 (cobalamin), which it is not. Perhaps his colleague should do a final fact check with him before the interviews, as in this case particularly, a pure vegan may be mislead into believing that they get sufficient B12 by virtue of them obtaining folic acid from their diet, YET, B12 is not bioavailable from any plant based sources, the few that may have it, nor even gut bacteria. B12 has to be supplemented, or derived from animal sources.

With sleep, not enough people are talking about sleep apnea and how damaging to the brain it is. So many people have it and don't know. I have it, and I don't fit the profile, because I'm skinny and female, so it took a while for me to get a proper diagnosis with a lab sleep study. Snoring, frequent waking, nightmares, heart racing, breathing difficulties can be signs during sleep. And sleepiness and brain fog during the day is also a sign. I have a fitness watch that tracks sleep stages and pulse oxygen. Sleep apnea makes my oxygen drop when I'm sleeping, keeps me out of deep sleep stages, and causes my heart rate and stress levels to go up during sleep. I now have a dental device that keeps my jaw forward and airway clear.
Resveratrol from red wine - you mentioned in a previous podcast that one glass of red wine per day has such small amounts of this that it makes it inconsequential, and that you would need to drink thousands of glasses of red wine to have any real meaningful result perhaps over the course of years. Is the benefit higher than the liver damage, or potential psychological addiction to alcohol? Wouldn't taking a supplement or perhaps finding a less damaging source of resveratrol be more beneficial?
Hello Dr. Sinclair Thank you for sharing a cutting edge information with all of us. This is indeed a life changing data. Would you please give us your take on : Royall jelly, Bee Bread, Bee Polen and Honey in regards of longevity, reducing inflamation and the risk of aging related diseases ? It is well know that the Bee queen eat only Royall Jelly and the life span is 5 to 6 years while the normal ,workers live 30- 40 days maximum. It is also a common fact that many of the bee keepers, live long and healthy life due to their exposure to bee products+having the benefit their office to be the nature.:-) So if you can share with us what you know about the bee products and if they could help us in terms of longevity, preventint aging diseses, and reducing inflamation. Thank you.
I will give it a crack. Supposely "Royal jelly" has a signaling composition to the epigenome of the bee allowing certain genes to turn om and become a queen bee. Thus the composition is likely to be only of value to the bee species because only they have the genetic composition to respond to the compounds in the "royal jelly". Since humans will not have those specie specific elementes it would be really far fetched to think it would have implications on an enitire different species like humans. Read Richard Dawkins 'Selfish Gene' for more insight on the argumentation schedule I used in this case.

I wonder if Dr Sinclair has any thoughts on Piracetam, the original nootropic. Studies have found it to protect mitochondria against different conditions associated with oxidative stress, including aging.
What Sinclair says about people on plant-based diets requiring ALA instead of EPA/DHA is totally false. The conversion rate is terrible. Algae derived EPA/DHA supplements are readily available, especially online (I think I’ve seen it in Flintstone vitamins), and a perfect alternative to fish oil. Algae is where the fish get it from

Plant based diets are the healthiest because humans and other primates evolved to eat that way. Humans in particular are starch eaters. We have the highest amylase in our saliva of the primates.
Question/invitation for conversation: I've had great success with improving my health on a carnivore diet and intermittent fasting. The talk about a plant-based diet here makes me nervous. I've been a vegetarian for a few years and even went vegan for a while, but I've never felt this good and seen so many improvements as I have on the current protocol. I'm 60. I no longer have all the bad (very bad) habits I acquired in the 60s and 70s. I work out a the gym a few times a week. I'm taking NMN and resveratrol, a natural sourced D3 (5000 IU) on occasion along with magnesium and potassium, krill oil, AKG, and am looking into metformin. So, my question is, am I sabotaging the potential longevity I'm hoping for on this diet? Thanks in advance!
Just a layman. Have you had dna testing? Do you know your APOE status. I think there is no best one diet for every genome. Maybe carnivore works for your genotype? Have you had an advanced cholesterol panel? Which pattern? Peak size, etc. i just follow flexitarian. My genotype does clear fats well and I eat about 30% fat and do no fear sat fat.

NAD boosters have not extended life in mice, at least in the most rigorous ITP trials. NMN made little or no improvement in human health in the first human efficacy trial according to Dr. Petter Attia. So are we being led down a rabbit hole?
Here is evidence that suggests that people (even older adults) do not need NMN or NR to maintain youthful NAD levels as long they exercise. This study found that older people will likely have similar levels of NAD as young people as long as they exercise. As I have been saying for a long time, the questionable science of promoting NMN and / or NR by Sinclair and others has probably led people astray. You should report on the below finding because it is way more important than the many videos on NMN.
"While there was a considerable difference in NAD+ levels between the young adults and the normally active older adults, trained older adults were almost on par with the young group. The physically impaired older adults fared the worst, with the lowest levels of NAD+ recorded. The researchers also plotted NAD+ levels against physical activity in individual participants and found a strong correlation between the two." I asked my Dr if he could get a HOMA-IR test for me & he had zero clue as to what I was talking about. With info readily available on the net now, some patients are light years ahead of their Drs!
Thank you Dr. Sinclair, been following you for a while. 👍
Recently, there’s been some debate and pushback from Dr. Charles Brenner, and as a layperson I can’t seem to understand all the technical details. Can you eventually shed some light on this disagreement?
Thanks.
@@cd2888 I'm aware, but because they keep mentioning red wine I decided promoting a very underappreciated non-alcoholic drink would be a good idea :v
Practical takeaways you can implement immediately:
Get good quality adequate sleep, exercise, eat well and ensure you are getting enough essential fats.
Thank you!
Can you please do a podcast about repairing the cells in the body caused by cancer treatments, stress, radiation…thx
I had a huge dose of radiation as a kid. Would like to know this.
You need to recycle them, 3+ days of fasting and senolytics like quercetin and fisetin.
Best podcast / YT! So glad this channel was created it really easy to follow and so much valuable information.

I just love this podcast. Thank you for sharing all this information!
Any major remedies you’ve had for this? Other than severely limiting sugar intake, don’t see another option.
Forgot to tell you...I take Oregeno everyday...big streptococcus killer. Also take Cats Claw daily and Lemon Balm. Anthony's best books are his first book The Medical Medium...explains all disease.
Dear Michael Tegler, in the book of Alanna Collen ´ten percent human' you will certainly find some answers to your questions. For example: What Fecal transplants can do and where Fecal transplants are available in the US!
Try papaya juice 3-times a day after meals
😢 I have permanent sleep issues since childhood. I eat a ketogenic diet, eat 2 meals per day, sprint 3 times per week, weight train, rebounding exercise and hiking. My sleep only gets worse. Something might work a short while, then I am back to where I was. I am 43, athletic and most people think I am 10 years younger than my real age. I wish I could rescue my sleep problems. I always loose this battle😢. My mom has Alzheimer's, I know what is coming my way.
Great video! I’d love to hear about ADHD in your next season!
My mother at 60 began a computer consulting business with one of her contemporaries. Mom died in 2021 at 92. By that point she had lost a mental step or two, but was still fully aware and alert.
thanks to DR SINCLAIR AND MATT FOR SUCH HEALING ADVANCED INFORMATION WHICH WE ALL NEED FOR SELF EDUCATION ON IMPROVING OUR HEALTH AND LIVES.
Thank David. Your series has been incredible.
Are you on Patreon? i will support your channel more
Let’s Go..As much as I am excited to hear each episode, it makes me countdown to the last couple of episodes left.😣
Genius levels of knowledge!
Incredible information and I absolutely love the tandem here. You have my vote for WAY MORE CONTENT WAY MORE. You and Andrew Hibernian need WAY MORE CONTENT. I literally listened to all of your videos and his in less than 3 days. Can’t get enough
I just bought a bunch of Resveratrol. But I don’t really know what to think after watching Dr. Brad Stanfield’s videos. I wish you would address them.
I am so glad finding you and following you. By the way i am 52 with diabetic .
I am learning a lot.
Thanks so much.
David I’ve seen you on Joe Rogan’s podcast. You’re one my favorite guest. I’m so happy that you’re doing your own podcast. I love Joe but I love him more when he has people like you on. I’m a fan. I hope you keep it going.
This probably the only podcast that will give you ROT (return on time). Great knowledge.
Keep up the good work Mr Sinclair 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Omega-3 fatty acids are plant oils. Algae (sea weed) is the best source of them. The only reason fish have Omega-3s in them is because they eat algae or smaller fish that eat algae. You can skip the fish and go direct to the source. There are a few companies that sell algae derived omega-3. The Only draw back to them at the moment is that because the volume sales is less than fish oils, the price is currently higher. You are less likely to get bio-accumulated pollutants from the algae derived oils than from the fish though. Pollutants increase in concentration the higher up you go on the trophic level.
Do you have any recommendations on a good brand of algae derived omega3? Thank you.
@@corgising5606 I've been taking DEVA brand for years!
I thought I heard him say “ is not”….
Thank you for making this podcast. If you guys continue with the podcast, I would greatly appreciate further elaboration on this topic. I am only 29, but my brain has deep white matter lesions, which are very uncommon at my age, but very common in the elderly. If you guys could explore the research on this topic, it would be greatly appreciated. I've been looking into as many papers as i can find on the topic, but I don't have the same access to the journals that you have. Thank you
You gotta reach out to UA-cam so they can recommend this video virally to spread this priceless information
"Yeah I'm 52" - Looks better than me at 30...he's not even gray? I've never seen anyone to look this young at his age...
thank you david for the advice on NMN. I am going to get on this quick, as i have chronic insomnia at the moment, from mental health. i exercise with HIIT and calisthenics. i take zinc, vitamin d and ashwaghanda but realise this is not enough at the moment.
This was all great information, but when it comes to brain health and especially preventing dementia, the studies on fasting, ketogenic diets, and sauna are really important!
Fasting agreed keto not too sure.
@@Chris-kr7gg There is already mounting research on how keto mitigates all kinds of neurological diseases, not least of all epilepsy.
@@rickg.1545 there is too many variables, I agree if you are having problems it can help
Amazing podcast. Yes, I’m enjoying listening to all of your videos and at the same time gaining so much knowledge with coping with longevity n living a healthy and productive life. Thank you immensely.
So happy for you. Im glad you found someone like David to guide you.
Looking forward to the next season, please continue! I would be
interested the most in the effect of excercise (various
types/cardio/weights) on aging.
Fascinating podcast, gents. Just a note, Folate/folic acid is actually B9 and that’s what’s prescribed to pregnant woman. B12 is cobalamin.💊
This is an Excellent episode; they all are. Thank you for the part of you, you both, that is altruism.
😁😆So funny with the opening -- "So far" 0:46 Thanks guys. Keep up the great work!
@Michele M - invaluable information, Michele👍 - thanks for sharing😊
Hello Dr. Sinclair
Thank you for sharing a cutting edge information with all of us. This is indeed a life changing data.
Would you please give us your take on :
Royall jelly, Bee Bread, Bee Polen and Honey in regards of longevity, reducing inflamation and the risk of aging related diseases ?
It is well know that the Bee queen eat only Royall Jelly and the life span is 5 to 6 years while the
normal ,workers live 30- 40 days maximum.
It is also a common fact that many of the bee keepers, live long and healthy life due to their
exposure to bee products+having the benefit their office to be the nature.:-)
So if you can share with us what you know about the bee products and if they could help us
in terms of longevity, preventint aging diseses, and reducing inflamation.
Thank you.
There's no eason to think they do anything in that regard and no one really claiming they do.
@Paul Wolf a guru witg more Nature publications than the average scientist can only dream off.
Christian Slater could play Dr. Sinclair in the movie about longevity
I recently stopped drinking coffee just to see how my mind and body would react first my head hurt so bad the next day the day after aswell. I feel stronger during my workouts as I was always taking coffee for the last 6 months to hit the gym and now I don't even feel like I need it . it was all in my mind thinking that coffee would be the only way to get gains. nothing but water and ashwagonda and some good meals low carb high protein. I feel really good in class I can concentrate a whole.lot more !!!
Thank you, Dr, David 🙏

I put dried seaweed in my spice grinder and make it into a powder, then I transfer it to an empty spice shaker and literally put it on everything.

I'm new to your channel, but I would love to see you interview Dr Dean Ornish on the topic of Alzheimer's. He's doing a study now that I think you and your listeners would be interested in.
too many carbs with demonization of animal fat/protein is very misguided at best
I had hemoptysis 2019 it went away, last week I was having same symptoms so my Dr wanted me to get CT Scan to see what is going on in my lungs. So after I got the CT Scan I got neck pain and inside my left ear feels wierd. 20 hours passed since I had the CT Scan and I still have neck pain. I am very worried about radiations. I would love if you tell me what kinda of health food or vitamins I can take to get rid of the radiations. Thank you.
I read that anthocyanins help with neurogenesis is that true? and although some foods like blueberries bilberries and purple corn have lots of them they are low in bioavailability. what foods should I eat that would help with bioavailability of anthocyanins?

Thank you so much for this great podcast! would like to know if it is ok to take Metformin and Resveratrol with the same meal all at once or would this reduce/inhibit the positive effects?
Watch Dr Brad stanfield on reversatrol Dr sinclair has admitted he was wrong re this molecule
I wonder if Dr Sinclair has any thoughts on Piracetam, the original nootropic. Studies have found it to protect mitochondria against different conditions associated with oxidative stress, including aging.
I think it was mentioned in a previous episode on supplementation.
Thanks a lot for these informations I can use to better myself, and for this huge service you're doing for humanity. You're a GOD inspired Soul.
Algae is where the fish get it from
If you go to your GP in the UK and ask to check homocysteine they just look at you aghast. Such an important marker to check and monitor closely.....I hope the budget for preventative healthcare changes in the UK....and very soon!
Plant based diets are the healthiest because humans and other primates evolved to eat that way. Humans in particular are starch eaters. We have the highest amylase in our saliva of the primates.
I've read that folic acid is something you actually want to avoid- whereas *folate* is what we need more of
Question/invitation for conversation: I've had great success with improving my health on a carnivore diet and intermittent fasting.
My genotype does clear fats well and I eat about 30% fat and do no fear sat fat.
yes, vegan diet is terrible for health. This is trendy and is what all the corporations want which is why it gets promoted so much.
@@LTPottenger This is false info. Vegans diets, whole food plant based, are scientifically proven to be the healthiest. Consider checking “Blue Zones” by National Geographic.
Carnivore diet is very unhealthy over the long-term.

Very good information, live changing.
Can you do a video refuting the claims that resveratrol doesn't work on sirtuins? There's been several new studies I would like to hear your take on those studies
he won't do it, his whole business is based on peddling supplements that don't work. he's no more than a quack now. good for the field's publicity, horrible for objective science.
@Paul Wolf obviously....
Nevermind he's not answered even one Q, nor commented in any way, in any of his podcasts.
Still, people continue to ask...
Are they just being hopeful(?), or just non-observant af 🤣
(I think it's the latter 🤨)
The researchers also plotted NAD+ levels against physical activity in individual participants and found a strong correlation between the two."
