My father-in-law was a truck driver. You could see interstate 70 from his house. Since he had a few, he put a spare CB radio on his little garden tractor! He could talk to his buddies while mowing the yard.
That’s awesome!
I've been collecting, repairing, restoring Sears garden tractors for over 15yrs. Pound for pound these Sears could out work the competition. The Sears 3pt hitch and implement system far exceeded the ability and usability of the sleeve hitch system offered by other brands. On a side note, a few collectors and myself got together and worked through paint codes to reproduce the original blue. We have not made a batch in about 10years now. There was not enough interest in it. I saved the information on a hard drive and have it archived.
Hey bill would you mind if I friended you for just I'm thinking about restoring a 68 Sears Excel 10 XL and just in case I need some info maybe you can oblige I would appreciate it
This tractor really churns his butter lol
I have about 26 Sears suburbans. I love them!
Wanna let one go?
Tom is a cool dude……. Great video…..
cool I have a 816 Gravely and a Dynamark that have cigarette lighters on them. I agree great to get kids into the hobby.
What a nice little tractor, love to have one of the Sear Super 12 with the plow attachment. Tom sure does have a nice one there, thanks.
It's great to see some one else trying to get the young one out getting their hand dirty and learning how use tools, tinkering with machinery, to us older ones it all just second nature, Thanks.
Cool , I have several sears tractors .Some videos on them. Mine are 1971 Sears Suburban SS 14`s and 1972 suburban 15`s . I still mow every week with one and still do my gardens , and snow removal with them . I have some videos on them . One made the Lawn & Garden Tractor Magazine My SS14 has the Cigarette lighter
I have a SS 14 Briggs got it from Elkskin.
Awsome video- no they don't come with lighters anymore but they are starting just like cars a 12v outlet for powering implaments- and phones I guess- 😂 My Huskavarna rider has one- I used to live down the street from the DB and Roper manufacturing plants way cool- and great he's working with people to share the hobby
Thats my girl !
Going around , tractor shopping/ browsing last week and something that surprised me was a kioti dk45 that comes with a cigarette lighter standard I thought that was a nice touch.
I have 2 suburbans with 3 points. One does have the cigarette lighter. They do everything I need to do on 12 acres
The ranger package comes with wood grain and an 8 track
Cigarette liter,,, hahaha, today they want drink holders
Ive got one that might be very early 1960s from the lettering on it, im guessing 1962 or 3. The original engine "went south" and i have a different one on it, but no accessories. But it pulls like a mule!
The cigarette lighter is a great to have when you are trying to pick-up women with your tractor.
Grandfather's 1951 JC Penny ride em came standard with a spitune and ashtray.
Try a Ford Safety blue I think you would be happier
there on wheelhorses
Yup. My '70's Wheel Horse had a Cigarette Lighter.
My friend and I modified at Poland lawn tractor we put rack and pinion steering up front and a live excellent rear and a built predator 670cc engine V-twin it would do about 80 miles an hour until it rolled on my friend let's just say the tractor fared a lot worse than my friend did he was all right but we built it and now it's still doing the same thing just not rolling anymore
👍👍👍👍🍦🍦
That tractor could plow a north Texas garden just right. The gray gumbo is awful to work with. Sears had so much quality in that day.
