As a dermatology nurse, I agree that we do recommend CeraVe a lot and there isn't a need to spend lots of money on anti-aging products because if you cleanse your skin, hydrate your skin, and protect it from the sun on a daily bases then your golden.
she should get stock in Cerave I can only imagine how many people have bought Cerave thanks to her suggestion & I am 1 of them,,,,thanks Dr, Sray you are the best
Apart from the knowledge she has, i am truly impressed with her vocabulary. Word of the day! recalcitrant /rɪˈkalsɪtr(ə)nt/ adjective 1. having an obstinately uncooperative attitude towards authority or discipline. "a class of recalcitrant fifteen-year-olds" synonyms:uncooperative, obstinately disobedient, intractable, unmanageable, ungovernable, refractory, insubordinate, defiant, rebellious, mutinous, wilful, wayward, headstrong, self-willed, contrary, perverse, difficult, awkward, obdurate;
I am a total word nerd and insufferable grammarian. I LOVE this women's vocabulary. Especially "compensatorially" which I heard her use on her Walgreen's video!
I’m a licensed medical Esthetician and also worked for a Dermatologist for a while years ago. Everything Dr. Dray is saying is spot on. The market for skin care, anti aging, and makeup is just ridiculous. Lots of unnecessary products and ingredients that cause more harm than good. Simple is better! Thank you Dr. Dray (and the availability of UA-cam!) to get this much needed info out to the public. I just subscribed and love your videos! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
After a lifetime of acne and tearing down my natural barrier by using prescription and over the counter meds, I finally at the age of 50 switched to CeraVe out of desperation. Finally acne free, beautiful skin. Love CeraVe.
Hi Ellen, my facial skin is damaged due to using strong acne face washed and now everytime I take a shower the steam turns my facial skin red. My skin used to be oily but now is very dry. Do you think cera ve moistrizer can help me ?
Cerave has absolutely saved my skin!!! Calmed a bout of breakouts beautifully and my skin is now never dry! I use the light hydrating lotion and the hydrating cleanser. Thanks for the recommendation Dr dray!
I bought the 19 oz. moisturizing cream....used to have itchy arms & legs after shower due to drying after warm water...followed your advice use Cerave cream on skin while wet after shower/ minimum soap & not long...no more itch...... got 2 @ Ebay 19oz. tub $ 12.89 each no tax free del. THANKS great advice
@@daisyreyes4859 Hey apologies for the late reply, I have only just seen this. I use Cerave facial wash for dry skin as my skin is very sensitive and that cleanser really works for my skin, I also use the PM moisturiser. It's the only moisturiser that has stopped me getting acne. I also use the body cream all over as it's amazing for elbows, knees and places that are dry. It is very good value for money, the facial wash lasts me for two months. They also have a moisturiser with sun protection. Definitely worth checking out 🙂. Also the renewing cream I used on my body a couple of times and it was a little tingling however it cleaned all my pours on my body. (I.e spots came out, however since my skin on my body has been much better) I only use that every couple of months.
During the two weeks did you go through any sort of "purging" phase? I never know how long to keep using a product to see if my face clears up or if it's irritation.
This brilliant woman is probably going to be censored for telling the Truth!!! lol I love it when she goes into the Drug Store and makes her snarky remarks about all the products out there. She cracks me up.
I have severely dry, sensitive skin and bad eczema and CeraVe honestly changed my skin completely for the better. It's the best! I wish that they could make shampoo and conditioner as well because finding shampoo that doesn't irritate my skin and isn't packed full of fragrance is so hard!
I started using their face wash as a shampoo one day because it was already in the shower and I was frustrated with every shampoo I had. It works great. My scalp is not red and irritated anymore. Never going back.
The SA Lotion for Rough and Bumpy skin as well as the SA Cleanser have completely transformed my skin in a matter of a month. I wish I took some before and after pictures. I was really into “natural” skincare before but realized it did nothing for my acne and I needed something with ingredients that would get the job done. I’m never looking back honestly
With a rare leap of faith, I trusted the Drs' opinion and invested in CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleaner and the Moisturizing Cream. Tending towards being generally underwhelmed and not particularly overly impressed by product endorsements, I'm not exactly sure why I made the decision to throw money at products I had never noticed before watching Dr. Dray the very first time. But, I marched right into CVS and bought both products mentioned previously as well as Neutrogena's Hydro Boost. I am stunned. I had no idea anything could change my skin surface so dramatically in a FABULOUS way. I have skin right now in places that haven't been soft as a baby's bottom, since I had one. These products are just simply excellent. I can't convey just how overwhelmingly impressed I am with each of them, but most notably the tub of moisturinzing cream and the hydro boost. I am so grateful for this.
@@jc7583 yeah typically creams are the way to go especially for dry skin as it stays on the skin longer my dermatologist recommended only creams and never lotions
There is another wonderful CeraVe cleanser. The Hydrating cleanser is so gentle but really takes makeup off at the end pof the day. The trick is to apply the creamy cleanser to dry skin and massage all over your face before you add water. Love it! The CeraVe big jar of moisturizer cream saved my skin when I was going through chemotherapy when my poor skin was like the skin on a onion! I even put it on my face and it was simply wonderful. My dermatologist and everyone in her practice just love CeraVe even thought the sell Obagi and Skinceuticals and other high end products. Cheers!
Christian Mendoza - Lara I’m guessing she’s using the hydrating cleanser on a dry face to melt the makeup. It’s kinda like a double cleanse method I think 🤔
40-year-old just discovering skincare doesn't make you high maintenance or thinking more of yourself than your family... I'm learning and you really make it easy for me to understand.
I was literally checking out with the SA cream cause I need salicylic acid for my face when she said it's not advisable for the face. So glad I saw this video!!!
I love that a dermatologist is so enthusiastic about educating people about skincare. I have lupus and have had terrible experiences with dermontologist who always seem annoyed about my questions about my sensitivities of my skin and the sun. I leave with more questions then answers and they run me around in circles and never answer any questions. You should start your own podcast or even do online consulting! Id be first to sign up, i love how passionate you are about skincare🌞🙋💓
I just started doing facials again in my salon and used to use Dermalogica. I am now using ceraVe because I’m not interested in selling products and I absolutely love it ! It is so nice to be able to offer my clients an affordable effective hydrating simple product it’s really all about hydration . I don’t buy into all the hype of anti-aging overpriced products even if it would help my income I don’t feel morally right selling it knowing it’s a bunch of bull****😂
Lucie Hurlburt it does sting a little bit if it gets in the eye if that what you mean, but if you rinse your eye you’ll be okay. i always wash around my eyes last just in case lol. even tho it has salicylic acid it’s a gentle cleanser and that’s why i like it so much bc i have very sensitive skin. i hope this helps :)
also i meant that this is the only face wash that contains salicylic acid that hasn’t broke me out even more, turned my face red, or completely dried out in certain places on my face. i never feel like i’m using salicylic acid and i always feel hydrated afterwards. it’s a good cleanser lol. sorry for the semi long comment i just felt like i had to clarify
I just want to thank you Dr. Dray for introducing me to Cerave. I’ve struggled for years with my dry combination skin; I’ve tried many different products, especially ones from neutrogena and other brands that are well known, yet my skin was still always extremely dry and flakey. I just recently bought the cerave hydrating face wash and the daily moisturizing lotion for dry skin and my skin has completely changed. My skin is so hydrated and soft, I’m so happy with the results. Thank you so much for the content
I have a autoimmune disease ( Chrons and psoriasis)..... I went in search of this after I had my first really bad psoriasis flare on my face😭....... makeup only made it worse. I got the CeraVe soap bar and the night moisturizer, after using this for two days the red spots and patches started disappearing!!! 😁. Literally. Thank u doc. I don’t have money to try so many products that may/may not work. 💗💗💗💗💗
I've used the CeraVe mosturizer and the lukewarm water temp tip and it has completely healed my keratosis pilaris on my arms in about a month. I've had terrible experiences with various dermatologist for years and this has been the simplest and most effective advice I have ever recieved Thank you Dr. Dray for your objective perspective!
I use the CeraVe Foaming Cleanser (Normal to Oily Skin) and I really like it. It's pretty gentle and not drying at all. In fact, I find that my skin feels more moisturized than when I use other cleansers. The only thing I don't like about it (and I've read similar complaints about other gentle cleansers) is that sometimes I feel like it doesn't cleanse enough. I often follow up with Simple Micellar water on a cotton pad and find that there is still some dirt on my face. To prevent this, I use the cleanser with a wash cloth like twice a week. This usually helps loosen all the dirt from my face.
Iam in my late 50s and started using Cerave moisturizer original and cerave PM .I had 2 deep lines in between my eye brows and since using this product they have almost disappeared. I use the pm in the morning too and even under my Makeup. Thanks Dr.Dray for recommending Cerave products.
I use the PM on the AM too, I love it. works great under makeup and around my eyes is just right, not greasy, but enough moisture.. Not a big fan of AM as its hard to spread, but work with it anyway since it has SPF.. once I run out, I will try the Neutrogena liquid SPF that Dr. Dray also recommends.. Love Dr. Dray!
I am 50 and I use CeraVe and love it! I went through menopause 5 years ago and my skin went from normal to dry. It really helps! I used the moisturizer cream and facial wash. It has changed my skin.
I hot my first container of Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion a couple of days ago & I love it! It goes on fast & stays in place. Now my husband is using it too! I'm going to buy the tub sized one for applying after my showers. Thank you so much for all this excellent advice! God bless you Dr. A. Dray!
I struggled for years with so many moisturizers that burned my face (I feel like I'm getting chemical burns with so many different face lotions, and it leaves rashes.) Cera Ve is the only one that didn't. It's the best!! Time to pick up the other items!
I have enjoyed using CeraVe for a couple of years now. I have been pleased with the results and am glad to know that you give it a thumbs up too! I hope that the ad department over at the makers of CeraVe saw this informative video too.
I'm a licensed esthetician and I love CeraVe. It's oil free too. I'm on tazorac and aczone. If not CeraVe I use my Hylatopic cream from my dermatologist.
I used to have oily skin and I was TERRIFIED of moisturizing, but the Cerave PM is so nice it has really changed that and made my skin feels so much better
@@soledadvillarruel3 Personally, I use the PM lotion for both day and night because the AM lotion has a chemical sunscreen component which leaves a white cast behind. I think you’re fine to use the PM lotion for day and night but layer a mineral sunscreen over the PM lotion in the daytime.
I just went and bought the SA Cleanser, moisturizing cream and the sunscreen moisturizer! I’m so excited to start a new skin care routine that is actually affordable. Thank you for your recommendations! :)
Jon Philip, I just purchase the Moisturizing Cream and want to know (I can't get ahold of CeraVe at all to ask a simple question which is this : IS there a tamper-proof film on the top of the (on the inside of the jar) jar that you have to remove when USING the Moisturizing Cream for the FIRST time? I don't want to use this product if it did come with a tamper-proof film on the top....and the one I purchased didn't have it. Thanks.....
holiday 2406 They have a Facebook page!! I’m sure u be heard there but there is a plastic film coating on the outside which is put on mechanically straight after it’s closed.. WHY DO YOU question cross contamination or something just curious as it’s an odd question but I’m a bit like that myself at times,I prefer the tinfoil film over the top of the tubes or jars but it’s not recycle friendly and they have done plenty of testin I’m sure to make sure it doesn’t have any oxidation but I don’t know tbh I just have the small 50mil tub of moisturiser and it didn’t have it Neither did the big tub I tested in chemist..
holiday 2406 I bought the one that has the pump in it, so it didn’t have the film. I always grab the products that are in the very back of the shelf to kind of give me a safe guard assuming the ones in the back haven’t been used by someone haha :)
your skin does look brighter :). I was about to buy the Aveeno with soy, but then you didn't like it, so i held myself back. I wanted to share my experiences with some products with everyone (acne prone skin/combination skin): *Neutrogena oil free acne wash- been effective, have not felt negative side effects, but I want to try the Renewing SA cleanser now *Hydro boost gel- feels great on my face, though my neck is a bit sensitive to it *Neutrogena Hydrating cleanser-doesn't work well with the removal of makeup but placed it in shower for the days i go makeup less *Neutrogena fresh foaming face cleanser and makeup remover- works great at removing makeup *Neutrogena Rapid Clear Stubborn acne daily mask- was very irritating at first so i would mix half a pea size with 2-3 pumps of cerave pm, until my face finally tolerated it, now i my skin got used to it and i use the cerave pm after the gel. *Cerave PM- HOLY GRAIL MOISTURIZER *Cerave AM- wish i liked it more, don't like the way it feels, but I haven't found anything better yet(waiting for something you'll recommend in the future lol) *Neutrogena healthy skin glow sheer- like it as a base/primer *Neutrogena skin clearing blemish concealer- I don't think this works *Neutrogena skin clearing complexion perfector- not repurchasing, do salicylic makeup products show any efficacy?
Wow!! Thank you so so much for sharing this here in the comments Ms Grace! So helpful!!! Salicylic acid left on the skin is not my favorite approach. Hope you are having a great night.
Thank you for this video. I have started using Cerave moisturizer and love it. I wish I had back all the $$$ I have spent on other products that did not work even half so well☺
I'm relaxing here before bed with my freshly cleansed, Hydro-boosted, Cerave PM'd face....enjoying the feel of cerave ointment anointed lips. Happy camper. Confident about skin care for once. Thanks, Doc! And....watching your videos, I find myself laughing out loud sometimes....that's gotta be a good thing. Love your presentation and the complementary endorphin surge.
Thank you for this video. My dermatologist and rheumatologist both recommended CeraVe products. I’ve been using them for about three years. It’s great to see another Doctor recommend it and give reviews on the products. Thank you again.
For the first time my face is not dry and flaky by just using simple cerave lotion and the night skin renewal. I also started using nizoral shampoo consistently from one of your other videos and the dandruff i've delt with all my life is gone. I wore a black shirt to work today! My confidence has been boosted greatly. I appreciate all your great tips which has been life changing.
Just got all my cerave products today from amazon. Used them tonight! Can't wait to see how they work for me. So excited to try something new and simple!
CeraVe has helped me immensely, years ago when I was dealing with a damaged skin barrier & terrible breakouts, the foaming face cleanser helped me so much. Now I have a few more CeraVe products in my bathroom & it's the line my skin loves the most
The Cerave hydrating cleanser and moisturizing cream saved my skin while I was on accutane to help get rid of my acne. I love how gentle and hydrating the cleanser is. The sunscreen on the other hand gave me the worst cystic acne breakout I’ve ever had in my life.
I went to my dermatologist a few years ago because the skin on my body was so itchy that I thought I had mites! She diagnosed my with dry “winter skin” and told me to get a big tub of the Cerave moisturizing cream and really slather it on daily. I did and it worked like a charm. Been using it ever since. It plumps and softens my skin, it isn’t the least bit greasy, and is just a really great moisturizer at a great price.
I did try the CeraVe Skin Renewing Gel Oil. It's great! Hasn't broken me out, does a great job of plumping fine lines, and it doesn't burn around the eyes or on cracked skin. (Even sensitive skin lotions burn if my skin is a little chapped.) The only "bad" thing is the cost, 20$, and the shine. But, I think the shine goes away with a sunscreen &/or lotion on top.
Ellie, I am going to go look this up right now. I hadn't heard about that product. Thank you for mentioning it! I know what you mean about things burning around the eyes. My eye area is sensitive too.
Thank you for posting these videos. I have been researching skincare and makeup for a year now and your channel has been become a reliable resource. Thank you also for reviewing products available in Canada.
I've been using the cerve body wash and moisturizer lotion after a shower, and I've noticed a big difference in my ruff and bumpy skin , using both of those together has improved my skin
I love CeraVe cream. I am 62 and have zero wrinkles. SPF (mineral types for babies) and moisturizing are key. I can't do the CeraVe sunscreen that is nonmineral though. Burns my sensitive skin. P.S. - CeraVe moisturizing cream and Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream are my favorites but Tatcha is very spendy.
Thank you for making this video. I have suddenly developed some kind of allergy or sensitivity to the products I used all my life, and Im at 43 suddenly dealing with breakouts. Its so confusing, and I have decided to start with CeraVe, and just try to strip down on the products I use, so I can rule out irritants. This video was very helpful.
For those not aware, CeraVe is not cruelty-free, so if it bothers you, don't buy it. I don't know about American products, but CeraVe is sold in countries (like China) that require animal testing by law.
I have almost all these products, I love this brand! Glad to hear other people are also having positive experience, I recommend this stuff to my friends.
Dr. Dray is very accurate with her assessment of the Cerave products. I have used the Cerave moisturizing cream for years. I no longer get scaly legs in the winter when it is dry. The daytime facial moisturizing lotion with SPF is horrible with the very white cast on my face. So, this is one item where I don't use Cerave. I'm now trying the Vitamin C serum to see how that works to fade some of my age spots. Hopefully it will work as well as the other Cerave products.
Religiously watching your channel ever since I subscribed! Love your honesty and vibe! Now that we know that eye creams are useless as per you, my doubt is can putting heavy sunscreen and moisturizers around the eye area cause milia? It is generally very hard to get rid of.
i just subscribed to your channel and i am binge watching your videos.. i have a question Doctor.....speaking of milia...how can milias be treated at home? Can milias be treated at home?. and how can they be avoided? i have had and do have a few. i really want to be rid of them and try to avoid getting more....i am 63 years old....and i have oily skin....especially in the T-Zone...
I would not recommend trying to remove milia at home, I developed several around my eyes and mouth so went to a skin clinic where she used short wave diathermy (tiny needle the width of an eyelash is used to run a very low level electric current) I admit I was skeptical at first but within a week they were completely GONE, not a trace, no scarring. I was absolutely delighted. It wasn't painful, felt like a twinge. I think over-use of oils and heavy moisturizers contributed to my getting the milia but there are various reasons - you can google for more information.
I applied Tea Tree oil to a very stubborn milia under my eyebrow for 2 days. Day 3 it was completely gone. I couldn't believe it. We are not to apply Tea Tree oil neat (but I did just in this case) it burned just a bit. Good luck!
My dermatologist recommended me to use cerave during my treatment for acne and I love it. I still use it everyday especially the Am and Pm cream. Best company out there for skin care I recommend this to everyone I know.
In the UK you can by the “moisturising lotion” but not the “daily moisturising lotion” I have tried to compare ingredients and they do seem similar but I wanted to check that the UK version is oil free! Xxx
What a great video! Ever since I have simplified my skin care I literally now have a mixture of just Cerave and Neutrogena products. I don't find myself urging to keep looking for products anymore. UA-cam is definitely a "dangerous" marketing place to sell you stuff that you don't need! lol Have a fantastic week 🌸😄 Ps! My goodness you have grown so much on UA-cam! Well done and congrats!
Magaly Barreto I agree, it seems to be so much better in my life now I'm much happier since I started following the experts and relizing how amazing those products are .
Yes you said it right.. I had just purchased the body shop vitamin E cream the body shop drops of youth sleeping mask so many products from them but not a single product suites me 😢😢 i end up wasting money
Cosmo Boss IF just CeraVe SA doesn’t work, check out Curology. That’s what I use along with the CeraVe am lotion w/ spf, the pm lotion & the gentle foaming cleanser. I SWEAR by this routine. The Curology is tretinoin, clindamycin & azelaic acid. Good luck!👍🍀
Thanks for the review. I too zoomed in on CeraVe vs Neutrogena early on and after a thorough comparison I decided both helped my skin but only one was easy on my wallet so I use the CeraVe line. One further point I would make is that I am not a fan of the "foaming" aspect of either cleanser. Those of us with dry, aging skin lose enough moisture as it is without stripping the skin with soaps/surfactants. That is one of the key reasons I like CeraVe...they make the perfect version of products for every skin type. I use the cleansing LOTION that is less harsh and drying for my skin.
I used Prevage for 15 years. Very expensive, but I kept a wrinkle free face at age 62. I am trying to find less expensive alternatives. Have tried argan oil, which seems like it is effective. I also use ceramides from Elizabeth Arden. I use half a capsule, save the other half for the next day. I'm mixing the argan oil with it too.
I just replied to your recent video that CeraVe is now available in Australia yeahhh!! THANKS for this review, gives me an idea on what I should try first 😊
IKR! I live in sunny climate, and I *NEED* to see a dermatologist. Like yesterday! I just don't know of a good one down here. I feel like I could discuss anything with her without embarrassment. 😇
I absolutely love the CeraVe PM moisturizer. It's very light and soothing and it has very good moisturizing properties. I've been using it for awhile and I am definitely buying it again. I have not tried the AM moisturizer but I am considering trying it after watching your review.
I have the AM one, it's just ok. I'm not wowed by it and I won't be repurchasing it. I notice that sometimes it will "pill" if I use it over the top of an antioxidant serum but that could be due to my own "user error". Also, the AM version contains a combination of physical and chemical sunscreen ingredients which some people don't care for.
I love the Cerave Pm moisturizer too and it's now holy grail status in my skin care routine. I have combination skin and the oil was so bad on my forehead and chin, it looked wet. I went through years of this and finally figured out that even at age 51 my skin seemed to hate overly rich moisturizers. I tried Spectro Gel face wash for combination skin and it has worked miracles for this oil/shine problem. So I use that with the Cerave Pm. Also, a fantastic sunscreen which is pure mineral is Ombrelle Tinted face sunscreen with an SPF of 60. Zero burning, even around my sensitive eyes and the tint is so subtle you barely notice it. It blurs imperfections like a BB cream. Best I've ever used and goes on fantastically under make up!
@@mars-yk9il The hydrating facial cleanser for normal to dry skin. My acne is from hormones rather than oily skin, so it may be inappropriate for oily skin. That said, it really helps keep my skin soft and subtle after months of acne treatment.
I just purchased the Cerave AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 bc of what you said in this video Dr. Andrea (my sister's name is Andrea too!). It will be delivered to me tomorrow...I can't wait to use it! I realized I have tons of night creams but I have zero day lotions and NOTHING with SPF anything!! I felt horrible once I realized that. Here I have great night creams that I alternate using and I use serums from The Ordinary and I use them with a wet face just like you said in that video of yours to lock in the moisture. I felt like a scam not having any SPF in my day lotion! That will be fixed tomorrow! And that will be my only day lotion...no rotations for day lotion anymore bc I need that SPF! Thanks Dr. Dray!
First I am so impressed by how much time and information you give to your audience when you obviously are so busy in your own practice--thank you! My question has to do with jars of products; sorry if you've already addressed this previously, I have heard once opened and putting your fingers into these jars (and the light) they are contaminated. What do you think?
I just bought four Cerave products and started to use them.. So far I really didn't like the pm moisturizer because it felt tacky on my skin even after a few hours.. The make-up remover cloths did the same thing.. I haven't tried the facial wash yet (afraid to) but I have tried the light moisturizer on my hands and arms.. It was ok but not a smooth silky feel I thought it would be.. I don't know whether to keep trying or return to Walgreens.. Love your videos, so much helpful info.. thanks
Ricardo in another video she mentioned there’s an ingredient that may be to harsh to use on the face, so now I just use the cerave SA facial cleanser with the ordinary niacinimide and the cerave blue tub as moisturizer and I’m starting to see results
@@ricprdo i use the cerave SA rough and bumpy cream on my face and i have seen a huge improvement! I dont know how the lotion would work but I love the cream.
I was going to buy that product 3 days ago is it bad or something? 🤷 didn't finish the video, but what are your thoughts on it as someone who actually used it?
I love Cerave!!! I used to use extremely harsh skincare because I had acne. I thought the key was to dry my skin out. I have sense realized that everything I was doing was making my skin worse!!!! Out of desperation, I got CeraVe products because their facewash was one of the only ones I could find that didn't have sulfates in it (Super sensitive skin, so sulfates break me out). My skin has never looked this good! The only product I can't use is their daytime moisturizer because it has sunscreen in it and sunscreen breaks me out (except zinc oxide which is in bare minerals makeup, so I'm covered w/ sun protection). For anyone with extremely sensitive skin, I am absolutely amazed by this line!!!!
I recently discovered CeraVe moisturizer and face wash, and it has been a miracle for my face!! I bought the same blue and white giant tub of it the moisturizer cream and put it into smaller containers; one to keep at my bedside, one for my purse, and I keep the big tub in my bathroom. I divided it amongst the smaller containers to always have it on hand, and to remember to put it on my face morning and night, without ‘Oh no, the tub is in the bathroom and I don’t feel like getting up...’ My hair, skin, and nails are often very dry and brittle due to having persistent anemia, and I’ve tried everything from Noxema to Neutrogena, and found the CeraVe. As soon as I arrived home with the CeraVe wash and moisturizer cream, I washed my face and then applied the cream and I was blown away with the immediate results! The facial wash didn’t get foamy and soapy and make my skin tight as I often experience with facial cleanser, and it felt like it had a cooling effect even with light exfoliation. The most immediate result to my skin was when I applied the the cream. I rinsed my face with warm water to keep the pores open, and then rubbed in a small amount of the moisturizer cream until I felt it was absorbed. I waited about 5 minutes and rubbed some more in and I’ve found this double dose has really done wonders for my skin, to the point that it has helped to lessen my laugh lines, forehead lines a bit, and the fine lines under my eyes. I’ve also found it works great under my foundation after I blot the sheen of my face and apply the Benefit Porefessional hydrating primer. Both the CeraVe and the Benefit primer keep the foundation from cleaning to my rougher, drier skin on my left cheek under my cheek bone and keep the foundation from settling in the lines on my face. This is amazing stuff, and so far great for my very dry anemic skin and fingernails too!!
😄😄😄😄😄😄🤣🤣🤣 I've seen captions on another channel and they were so goofy that I had to turn them off. I do feel bad for people who rely on captions because on UA-cam they seem to suck. 😝
I’ve tried the Cerave hand cream, SA face wash, AM and PM creams. I had a slight issue with pulling, but otherwise I love everything about them. I’ve tried the mineral sunscreen but I couldn’t tolerate the clown-face.
love CeraVe and am soo relieved I use them and only them and its actually a good thing stated by a respected certified person. thank you! sending this vid to the company asap!
I'm fairly devoted to your channel. Thank you so much for the education. I've been using this brand for over a month and my skin is much happier. This brand kept coming up in my research but I kept ignoring it due to the affordability. I thought only the pricey products work. I was so wrong. They mostly helped the irritation persist. Thank you so much! Being in my 50's, it's taken a long time to finally have skin that's not angry.
I like that they aren't brand new bottles, like you can see she genuinely uses them and it isn't like here are affordable options that I tried once and now back to la mer.
I use cerave for cleansing in the morning and I remove makeup with cocconut oil at night. I have very dry skin and this cleansing rouutine has cleared up the extreme redness that I have from roseacea.
Thanks so much Dr Dray. I've been using the Cerave moisturizing cream on my face. No adverse events yet. Just learned in this video it is meant for body. Thx
Just bought the cleanser and moisturizer from CeraVe after my friend's recommendation and after watching this video. After one use, I am already so impressed! So excited to see the changes in my skin!
Thanks to you, I love so many Cerave products!! I have been told that my skin is beautifully glowing! I have NEVER gotten compliments on my skin before! Best thing is it's not even two months since I found you! 💗
As a dermatology nurse, I agree that we do recommend CeraVe a lot and there isn't a need to spend lots of money on anti-aging products because if you cleanse your skin, hydrate your skin, and protect it from the sun on a daily bases then your golden.
My instructions states to add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar...

I've been using it recently and it's great for my oily normal skin.
Yep...I just got some tonight because of Dr Dray. I’m thinking they should give her a lifetime supply of CeraVe products!😂
Jane Doe same!
I think it’s about time Cerave sends you a PR package!!! You have played a HUGE role in informing people of Cerave and it’s benefits! 👍🏻

Educated woman!
Doctor Dray doesn’t need an esthetician to validate her

Hii,is it okay to use if you are 13 yrs old?
After a lifetime of acne and tearing down my natural barrier by using prescription and over the counter meds, I finally at the age of 50 switched to CeraVe out of desperation. Finally acne free, beautiful skin. Love CeraVe.
cerave is great!
Ellen Kowallis which specific cerave product do you use for acne?
Ellen Kowallis what product did you used? and your routine pls
Dr Dray
Plz answer plz
Is this decent for the elderly or it can be used by all people
I'm 19 years old
Hi Ellen, my facial skin is damaged due to using strong acne face washed and now everytime I take a shower the steam turns my facial skin red.
Sumaiya Ghumra which facial cleanser did you get?
I bought the 19 oz. moisturizing cream....used to have itchy arms & legs after shower due to drying after warm water...followed your advice use Cerave cream on skin while wet after shower/ minimum soap & not long...no more itch...... got 2 @ Ebay 19oz. tub $ 12.89 each no tax free del. THANKS great advice
Just started to use Cerave and after just two weeks my skin has improved immensely. Like wow, I wish I had found it sooner.
which products
ughdaisy get the cerave moisturizer and foaming cleanser for results
I never know how long to keep using a product to see if my face clears up or if it's irritation.
can we put cerave pm lotion on face? or its just for body?
This brilliant woman is probably going to be censored for telling the Truth!!! lol I love it when she goes into the Drug Store and makes her snarky remarks about all the products out there. She cracks me up.

The new spokesperson for Cerave, Dr Dray 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻. Love Cerave 😍
:) Glad you do too Ms Colleen
Agree 100%. My dermatologist recommended CErave to me years ago. I have used it for years. Thanks for the update.
I use the Cereve moisturizing cream for the dishydrotic eczema on my hands. Clears it right up.
Oh I have that, will try x
Love hydrating cleanser, neutrogena boost on damp face, followed by moisturizing cream in tub.
Eva Lynne Has

Alex Bostic I really like the Cerave cream. My skin is dry. I notice a difference right away.

I have very oily acne prone skin and I find the cerave tub soothing. I noticed that it reduced my break outs. Yes you can use it on your face.
Cheers!
Palladio 1500 good tip! Thank you
But soaps or detergents in general doesn’t work without water? Doesn’t it affect its efficacy?
Palladio 1500 does it have soap in it??
Christian Mendoza - Lara I’m guessing she’s using the hydrating cleanser on a dry face to melt the makeup. It’s kinda like a double cleanse method I think 🤔

Have been using CeraVE for a long time my dermatologist recommended when I went for a skin check...Love!! Love!!! CeraVe

the sa cleanser also has 2% salicylic acid if anyone was curious :)
elizabeth jane do you know if it’s okay to use around the eyes?
Lucie Hurlburt it does sting a little bit if it gets in the eye if that what you mean, but if you rinse your eye you’ll be okay. i always wash around my eyes last just in case lol. even tho it has salicylic acid it’s a gentle cleanser and that’s why i like it so much bc i have very sensitive skin. i hope this helps :)
also i meant that this is the only face wash that contains salicylic acid that hasn’t broke me out even more, turned my face red, or completely dried out in certain places on my face. i never feel like i’m using salicylic acid and i always feel hydrated afterwards. it’s a good cleanser lol. sorry for the semi long comment i just felt like i had to clarify
where do you see that? It says 0,5% on the webpage :)

Cerave SA Cleanser had solved my acne problem after using all the hype Korean products! Now, I'm a Cerave man
I've used the CeraVe mosturizer and the lukewarm water temp tip and it has completely healed my keratosis pilaris on my arms in about a month.
Yeah...I am interested in trying it along with a cleansing oil first for makeup removal
Aniebiet Abasi this cleanser works really well when I do an oil cleanse first !

You can't go wrong with Cerave!!! The Cerave PM also works great in the AM under sunscreen for dry skin. I use it some in the winter during the day.

Me too, I use the PM in the morning. The AM irritates me skin.
My dermatologist recommended I use the cera ve pm in the am
I bought the pm lotion yesterday and totally agree with using it the am and pm! My skin is way softer!
Love Dr. Dray!

do you use the AM aswell?
@@soledadvillarruel3 Personally, I use the PM lotion for both day and night because the AM lotion has a chemical sunscreen component which leaves a white cast behind. I think you’re fine to use the PM lotion for day and night but layer a mineral sunscreen over the PM lotion in the daytime.

*Hydro boost gel- feels great on my face, though my neck is a bit sensitive to it
*Neutrogena Hydrating cleanser-doesn't work well with the removal of makeup but placed it in shower for the days i go makeup less
*Neutrogena fresh foaming face cleanser and makeup remover- works great at removing makeup
*Neutrogena Rapid Clear Stubborn acne daily mask- was very irritating at first so i would mix half a pea size with 2-3 pumps of cerave pm, until my face finally tolerated it, now i my skin got used to it and i use the cerave pm after the gel.
*Cerave PM- HOLY GRAIL MOISTURIZER
*Cerave AM- wish i liked it more, don't like the way it feels, but I haven't found anything better yet(waiting for something you'll recommend in the future lol)
*Neutrogena healthy skin glow sheer- like it as a base/primer
*Neutrogena skin clearing blemish concealer- I don't think this works
*Neutrogena skin clearing complexion perfector- not repurchasing, do salicylic makeup products show any efficacy?

Thank you for this video. My dermatologist and rheumatologist both recommended CeraVe products. I’ve been using them for about three years. It’s great to see another Doctor recommend it and give reviews on the products. Thank you again.
For the first time my face is not dry and flaky by just using simple cerave lotion and the night skin renewal. I also started using nizoral shampoo consistently from one of your other videos and the dandruff i've delt with all my life is gone. I wore a black shirt to work today! CeraVe has helped me immensely, years ago when I was dealing with a damaged skin barrier & terrible breakouts, the foaming face cleanser helped me so much. Now I have a few more CeraVe products in my bathroom & it's the line my skin loves the most
Miss Lynne the SA cleanser?
Yes my dermatologist recommended this Cereve AM and PM
The Cerave hydrating cleanser and moisturizing cream saved my skin while I was on accutane to help get rid of my acne. I love how gentle and hydrating the cleanser is. The sunscreen on the other hand gave me the worst cystic acne breakout I’ve ever had in my life.
Jaide Riddall is there a specific moisturizing cream just for face? or did you use the one in the tub for body?
I went to my dermatologist a few years ago because the skin on my body was so itchy that I thought I had mites! She diagnosed my with dry “winter skin” and told me to get a big tub of the Cerave moisturizing cream and really slather it on daily. I did and it worked like a charm. Been using it ever since. It plumps and softens my skin, it isn’t the least bit greasy, and is just a really great moisturizer at a great price.
Is it the one endorsed by exzema association or the ordinary one for normal to dry skin. Help pls
Good to hear you like this one. I haven't tried it myself. Thanks for sharing :)

Does anyone know how effective cerave eye repair is, if you have puffy eyes.
I have been using CeraVe for a while now and I love almost all the products, so far!
I just bought some of these products NOT knowing you had a video up and I'm definitely happy I choose this product
For those not aware, CeraVe is not cruelty-free, so if it bothers you, don't buy it. I don't know about American products, but CeraVe is sold in countries (like China) that require animal testing by law.
I was looking into that but on their website they say they don't, so who knows

Wow this hairstyle is soooo cool Dr.Dray please bring it back!!!!
Religiously watching your channel ever since I subscribed! Love your honesty and vibe!
Now that we know that eye creams are useless as per you, my doubt is can putting heavy sunscreen and moisturizers around the eye area cause milia? It is generally very hard to get rid of.
thanks! no
i just subscribed to your channel and i am binge watching your videos..
i have a question Doctor.....speaking of milia...how can milias be treated at home? Can milias be treated at home?. and how can they be avoided? i have had and do have a few. i really want to be rid of them and try to avoid getting more....i am 63 years old....and i have oily skin....especially in the T-Zone...
I'm also wondering the same thing. Can we put around the eyes the same cream/sunscreen we put on our face?
Good luck!
Thank you Dr. Dray! I was looking for something like this, just fed up with those expensive skin care products, Thank you once again 🙏

What a great video! Ever since I have simplified my skin care I literally now have a mixture of just Cerave and Neutrogena products. I don't find myself urging to keep looking for products anymore. UA-cam is definitely a "dangerous" marketing place to sell you stuff that you don't need! lol

Magaly Barreto I agree, it seems to be so much better in my life now I'm much happier since I started following the experts and relizing how amazing those products are .
Yes you said it right.. I had just purchased the body shop vitamin E cream the body shop drops of youth sleeping mask so many products from them but not a single product suites me 😢😢 i end up wasting money
purpose of life I’ve also spent a MINT looking for products that work and don’t break me out. To think...they were in Walgreens all along.😂

I absolutely love the CeraVe PM moisturizer. It's very light and soothing and it has very good moisturizing properties. I've been using it for awhile and I am definitely buying it again. I have not tried the AM moisturizer but I am considering trying it after watching your review.
I like it too! If you try the AM one, let me know how it works out.
LalitaLoves - I mix the CeraVe AM, PM and the Cetaphil moisturizer together, works for me.
I've started using their face wash because of your review. As someone who is combating acne and rosacea, I do love the wash.
S M what face wash do you use?
@@mars-yk9il The hydrating facial cleanser for normal to dry skin. My acne is from hormones rather than oily skin, so it may be inappropriate for oily skin. That said, it really helps keep my skin soft and subtle after months of acne treatment.
S M oh i bought the foaming cleanser last night i hope it works for me :)
Thanks Dr. Dray!
I plan to give this brand a try. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Let me know how you like it
First I am so impressed by how much time and information you give to your audience when you obviously are so busy in your own practice--thank you! My question has to do with jars of products; sorry if you've already addressed this previously, I have heard once opened and putting your fingers into these jars (and the light) they are contaminated. What do you think?
thanks! jars are fine
Love your videos, so much helpful info.. thanks
Oof I started using the cerave rough and bumpy skin lotion on my face a few days ago to try and combat my textured skin I’m glad I watched this video
me too. has it made any changes on your face ??
Had subtitles on. Then, this came up:
"It's got the chemical filters homeless a late Marauder made Octonauts a Dan dog tock relent"
Loool
Lol not even the subtitles can catch up with her advanced vocabulary!!! 😂🤣
😄😄😄😄😄😄🤣🤣🤣
I've seen captions on another channel and they were so goofy that I had to turn them off.
I do feel bad for people who rely on captions because on UA-cam they seem to suck. 😝
I. K. R. Gibberish every time.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ve tried the Cerave hand cream, SA face wash, AM and PM creams. I had a slight issue with pulling, but otherwise I love everything about them. I’ve tried the mineral sunscreen but I couldn’t tolerate the clown-face.
I'm so glad you approve because I live by cerave
love CeraVe and am soo relieved I use them and only them and its actually a good thing stated by a respected certified person. thank you! sending this vid to the company asap!
Would you help me to send me to INDIA.?
I use cerave for cleansing in the morning and I remove makeup with cocconut oil at night. I have very dry skin and this cleansing rouutine has cleared up the extreme redness that I have from roseacea.
Regina Semenenko which cerave cleanser do you use?
Thanks so much Dr Dray. I've been using the Cerave moisturizing cream on my face. No adverse events yet. Just learned in this video it is meant for body. Thx
Just bought the cleanser and moisturizer from CeraVe after my friend's recommendation and after watching this video. After one use, I am already so impressed! So excited to see the changes in my skin!
Riley Leavitt which cleanser do you use?
Thanks to you, I love so many Cerave products!! I have been told that my skin is beautifully glowing! I have NEVER gotten compliments on my skin before! Best thing is it's not even two months since I found you! 💗
glad to hear!
