Jodeci set a whole trend in the industry especially for boy bands that came after them. Even to this day they are credited as the biggest influence. Jodeci is the definition of 90’s rnb.
My girlfriend (now wife) at the time was pregnant when Forever My Lady dropped, and it just made our bond that much tighter. I'm so glad we were able to see them perform when they were at the top of their game.
Jodeci stands in a class all their own. I'll always be a fan of their music. I wish Jojo and Kci well and pray they stay on the right track with their sobriety.
When I first heard Jodeci in 1991 I was surprised how young they were because they sounded mature for their age. One of the Best Male R&B groups of all time. They're voices was so powerful but the Harmony was so Smooth.
Don't sleep on Mr.Dalvin. Although he's not a k-ci, his drum game along with his production is as dope as his brothers. Check a track on the Dangerous minds soundtrack that he produced called 'curiosity' sung by Aaron Hall.

@@YouBigDummy I really hate how people just assume the music industry is so evil, like yeah it has it's temptations but that comes with any industry you go in that you can make a lot of money from. The problem is people get caught up in the fast lifestyle of the industry and not really pay attention to what they are doing. But the industry itself isn't all that evil, sure you have shady execs, shady managers, and so forth but what you get out of the industry is what you contribute and you maintaining your career. So many of these artist get in the game but can't sustain a career because they're too busy trying to party, if you care for you career then it can be a long one without drug abuse or getting locked up all the time.

I miss Jodeci... These artist were born with unique vocal cords that can't be matched , substituted , or forgotten. You can't dance to every beat. Either you speak the language or you don't speak the language. These cats harmony is something you wanna listen to. Its nothing like reminiscing. We all do it all the time. We all get to do it anytime. We all go through some personal and tough times. I certainly can relate. Thats why its great to be able to make your mark , an effective one , if you possibly can , one way or another. Jodeci is definently on that list. @@cassiedaniels1098 lol Stevie J said he also slapped Ginuwine, but Ginuwine says otherwise. Ginuwine DID say that Devante and his body guard were throwing chairs and sh*t everywhere tho
I used love reading Sister 2 Sister interviews because they had in depth conversations with artists!
Yes they had the best interviews and many of them aren’t even available on the internet anymore 😩
We need to contact Ms. Jamie, have her publish her interviews online
..she got some gems.
I remember my mother used to read Sister 2 Sister magazine all the time. She used to get so mad that I would read the articles before she got a chance to. Ms Jamie was a great interviewer. Her interviews were indeed just like conversations. She used t9 get artists so comfortable and they used to be spilling all the tea. Somewhere on the internet is an old s2s interview with Left Eye. In the article she talks about the house burning, the group, her and Andre's crazy relationship also her situationship with Tupac. It was very revealing.......

Yes but KC is now saved and turned his life around after his stroke, now he sings gospel, God is good

Black don’t crack.
Jodeci set a whole trend in the industry especially for boy bands that came after them. Even to this day they are credited as the biggest influence. Jodeci is the definition of 90’s rnb.
Facts
My girlfriend (now wife) at the time was pregnant when Forever My Lady dropped, and it just made our bond that much tighter. I'm so glad we were able to see them perform when they were at the top of their game.

Great Song by Al B. Sure!😍
Sounds like a win ✨ win 👍 for you congrats ‼️

Jodeci stands in a class all their own. I'll always be a fan of their music. I wish Jojo and Kci well and pray they stay on the right track with their sobriety.
Jodeci is so 90s R&B :-)
This generation will never know the awesomeness of Jodeci. Dairy Of A Mad Band is one of my favorite R&B albums of all time ❤️
Amen
Forever My Lady will always be jodeci's classic album ever # NO ONE HIT WONDER UP HERE !
Love me some Me. Dalvin! ❤️
YES!! Loved that song on that soundtrack
And check out the album creds on The Show, The After Party, The Hotel - one of the best albums of all time.. Dalvin produced and Co-produced some of the best tracks on there.. 👍🏻

They didn't have mainstream appeal that's why people sleep on them

Jodeci was the original writers of Forever My Lady (DeVante and Dalvin wrote almost all their songs). When they teamed up with Uptown they started collaborating with other artist. The original song was performed on Teen Summit before some of the lyrics were changed/ more added on (was going to add the link on here, but looks like it vanished off of YT) It’s one of my favorite songs; along with so many other songs of theirs❤️

Musically , you can do what you feel , but , thats not all music is about. It affects all that we do , feel , need , want , think we want , gonna do , feel , need , and want and have already done. Their talent will last and be talked about for centuries to come. And guess what: i get to listen to their voices , harmony , and music just by the touch of a button. Feb. 20, 2022, I finally saw Jodeci open for Charlie Wilson and New Edition (headliner) as a 44-year-old at State Farm Arena as special guests. It brought such joy to my heart seeing them all on the stage together. I'll never forget being in 8th grade and listening to them for the first time on a friend's Sony Walkman cassette player. She had recorded "Forever My Lady" from WGCI in Chicago.

WOW! They were so good looking in their 20's. The drugs and alcohol really messed them up mentally and physically. They all look rough, but they were still a great group. Love their songs in the 90s
Dalvin looks like he took good care of himself.
@therese fassie as devante should stay that way since seeing what he went through and how everyone on social media be telling everyone their business I see why he stays living like social media doesn't exist
WOW they have a lot of talent in that family!!!

Well Dalvin said it takes time to put out a movie because he wants the story to be made correctly and not like how they made that tupac movie which people got shitty about it
Dalvin did an interview w/DJ Vlad & said they need to find the right actors & actresses for the biopic. And they really, really need the absolute correct information. He did say it was in the works.
