I've always liked pozi joists, a really good invention, and a significant timesaver. Good to see the bodged up waste pipes finally dealt with! In terms of buckets, i swapped to rubber buckets around ten years ago after seeing a scafolder using them for fittings. I haven't bought a plastic bucket since or worn a rubber one out or broke it!
Another smashing video Rich. I’ve learnt a lot from your series, not that I’ll ever be a builder and also the music is great for a bit of air guitar 😁👍
You're doing a good job Rich, if you can slow down some of the bits you speed up on this one 😜 it was a bit of a blur bricking up the cill. 😂 Great job though nice details
Dear Mr A builders….this is a long shot ..but…will you be doing a clay tiled roof any time soon with all the details of felt and DPC into the gutter, tile fillets and edge finishing and whatnot?… btw love all your stuff and I’m constantly recommending your videos to my work colleagues
Hi there. We won’t be unfortunately but feel free to email us with any questions and advice you may need and we will try our best to help you. Thanks for following the channel 👍🏻
We have our Joiner there this week doing the skirts, architraves and doors and Matt has finished the plastering for the under stairs toilet. I’ll be back soon to finish the kitchen if the stuff ever turns up and I’ll be doing a walk around to show the finished build. 👍🏻
Constructing a warm roof is far easier than constructing a cold roof. No ventilation is required, but as Richard says height restrictions are the main reason
I personally did a city and guilds in carpentry and joinery but I’m lucky to have worked with my Dad for many years who’s also in the building trade and very knowledgable and also some very good other trades over the years so you tend to develop yourself without the need for courses. I’d never touch gas or electrics as they are not my thing but it helps a lot when you’re stripping out or preparing the build for those trades to know how they work and what they may need in place. The most important thing you need to know is electricians never sweep up and if they say they don’t trust them and if you get a price off a gas engineer and the quote is less than a small family car they are no good😂👍🏻
At the finish of each week it always looks great. Really is great viewing! Talk too much, Absolute rubbish!!! These videos require detailed descriptions.
Great work Rich. Talk as much as you want. Some of us don't know jack about building stuff so explanations are welcome.

Missed you guys yesterday as you dropped later than the usual time 😞
Catching up now though and it makes more sense with the building taking shape 👍
Fantastic video
BRILL VID AS ALWAYS AND WELL EXPLAINED
Great video
Another top video guy’s

Matt did you see he got his really BIG saw out for this job 😉🤣
You didn’t talk enough on this episode 🤣🤣
Great video. Which supplier did you get the posi joists from?
I got them from ETS Ltd 👍🏻

@@Mr_A_Buildersthank you so much.. I will!
Moving on well but working from an incomplete scaffolding is not good
If health and safety see you it could cause big issues
Keep up the good work
I'm surprised the concrete roof isn't going considering it's a huge thermal bridging point.
It’s becoming a warm roof so it won’t be. I have explained it several times since this series started but you may have missed it. 👍🏻
Yasssssss 🎉
you cut the concrete roof flush to the inside skin, is that not now a cold spot?
The concrete roof is going to become a warm roof.
Hi just wondering if you have completed what needs doing on the basement job.

@@Mr_A_Builders many thanks for your reply. Are you doing the cladding on the outside or have you subbed it out.
@ColinJerromes-z5z we will be doing that as well yes but a date for that hasn’t been set yet and there will definitely be a video for that 👍🏻
@@Mr_A_Builders thanks I’ll let you have your dinner now.Up the baggies👍👍👍
Thats moving on now Richard👍 Whats the reasoning behind a warm roof v cold roof 🧐
If I could never do a cold roof again it would be to soon but unfortunately design and build heights always dictate. 👍🏻

@@SteveP59 Yes Steve. I suppose the ventilation part is a bit of a pain. Thanks 🙏
The mother-in-law is coming around I think I work on 🤔🙄😳😁🤣🤣
loving your videos. Have you tried concrete chainsaws?
Nope never. You got one going spare 😁👍🏻
@@Mr_A_Builders I haven't but I would recommend if its within you budget, its an awesome bit of kit although very wet.
What college course did you do in order to become a builder? Thanks

@@Mr_A_Builders Thank you for the help 👍
Another nice job, did it not require winposts in the blockwork with the pillars being so narrow? Or is my engineer just a pain? 😆
Just an over cautious pain I’m afraid
@@Mr_A_Builders thought so 👌🏻
Pity you guys can't come up north and do my extension
Where abouts you at ray?
@@kingofthetrowel1725 North East, Middlesbrough
Just wondering if you're all wrapped up on the basement build? Or are you just waiting for materials/other trades?
Pretty much mate yep but we will do a revisit once it’s all finished 👍🏻
0:40 Working from a hop up platform on top of fully extended treseles really is a bad idea.
Talk too much 😂. How dare you explain your work and provide some tips to your viewers to try and help them out. Have a great week all 👍🏻
