@@FromDesertTown well in a arm64 windows it will run also x86/64 apps without penalty it is way faster than boot through quemu wich is a l2 hypervisor but since kvm support is not enabled in Android kernel, quemu has the ability to boot using 100 emulated hardware basically you will boot a edk x64 uefi with another x64 os that is not a ampere server SoC, that might handle such inputs
Thank you for trying. I think Microsoft should just bring out a more compatible version anyone can install on whatever phone they want. Although Win11 is a big improvement.
Samsung will not do it since they are trying to push Samsung Dex. They just do/did some windows/samsung features but beside that Samsung will try anything to get people into Samsung DEX
Not really, no. He ran Windows 11 in a virtual machine, about the best way possible next to a full-on dual boot or replacement of the Android OS. And unless Samsung and Microsoft start making drivers for their phones, you probably won’t be able to do that on here.

can you please upload the virtual harddisk you have created in google drive and share a link that we can download and start right away ? it will be super super helpful..Love from bangladesh
you can actually install the real windows arm and can play games there is a youtube channel that do that and play games and the phone he use for that is a mid range phone poco x3😊

Lol a vm can run even on a toaster that is not bare metal , and you will have a lot of overhead install it baremetal tobe worth so you can have a cloud pc wich you can remotely use as long as you have a connection
so man using device with ARM processor, used emulator that is emulating x86 processors to run ARM windows XDD when i told that to bing chat he spamed laught faces xdddddd ARM EMULATOR IS THE THING WHY EVEN PEOPLE ARE PLAYING WITH ANDROID+WINDOWS_ARM. BECAUSE YOU HAVE PROCESOR COMPATIBILITY WHICH MEANS MORE PERFORMANCE. ON HOST MODE YOU USE UR PHONE PROCESOR, IF IT PROCESOR IS SOMEHOW EXOTIC YOU JUST EMULATE ARM PROCESSOR WHICH IS COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR PROCESOR AND WINDOWS ARM ARCHITECTURE WHICH MEANS GOOD PERFORMANCE. the end respect for using HL1 to benchmark, but to be honest better option was to install newer versions of half-life which are more gpu focused, instead of torturing cpu with software rendering
Only Windows 10 current build and Windows 11 support ARM technology so nothing older will work on it. I do have a feeling that now with play store support on Windows 11 Microsoft might be getting back into the phone game soon. I forsee a new HP Elite x4 to replace my x3 on the horizon.
Shouldn't be this slow because the s23 ultra is more powerful than a budget laptop. It beats out the i3 chip, and it's close to i5 gen 7. Hopefully, samsung will in the future replace samsung dex with Windows cause it's better to have an actual pc than a blowed up mobile with a desktop interface, What's the point of having 3-4㎓ or sub 5 ㎓ if we can't even utilize it mobile software it way too limited and even with crazy games like warzone which still sucks up around 1.8㎓, mobile os just can't utilize 2㎓ or above it's way too limited and the only way to utilize it is to have built in windows or Linux or any other desktop os.
Yep I agree, hopefully we will also see more progress on the enthusiast side, not only using virtual machines and a lengthy complex process but a better way to double boot for example more usable Operating systems.
@Very David thank u finally some one atleast tech reviewers who understand something and don't advertise Samsung dex as a laptop replacement because it's not the Linux project back in 2018 made it a laptop replacement but instead of release the stable version they just killed it of 11 months later in a beta, it had so much potential and maybe even destroyed iPad in sales, Samsung should've release the stable version and then market how Samsung dex is basically a Linux laptop and a mobile 2 in 1, that's one big reason for people to consider Samsung over iPad but Mac book would still remain Linux king but ya many iPad consumers might consider the 2 in 1.

Microsoft should make a Windows 11 app that you can combine with Samsung Dex
My thoughts exactly.
Well that is a virtual machine it does not touch the hardware, make one with the arm64 version it will emulate faster
How do I do that?
I was expecting that as well, makes more sense. Will look further.
No idea if it's stable, but there is hope ua-cam.com/video/nrvnpFCcZeA/v-deo.htmlsi=Ns_cn6N3yCpFYPNJ
To be fair, his goal was to run Half Life, which is an x86 app.

Great video learnt alot but why didn't you just use winlator with that machine or phone you have it would have worked well on that phone

I came to the comments just to see if any anybody said something about it
Half life already can run natively on android with xash3d and it even works 60fps in a 1gb ram device
Hi David, did you try using an external monitor ?
Rise and Shine mr freeman
Why did you not put all menory in for better run windows 11
I'm not sure if that makes a difference, and makes the device less stable
Because it takes up more storage and that could be a problem on low-end devices.
why u use the x86 one when win 11 arm exists?
Good question :)
Maybe arm version is going to run better@@verydavid
why isn't anyone trying this on a galaxy tab :/
what is this? qemu-img is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

can i have the Win11.qcow2 link ??????? , i followed all the steps but in the end i can't create it
Nice. Could we get better perfomance if we change Nehalem for a better one?
I don't think that really matters because it just tells how to run the VM on PC, although worth a try!

I still no luck to find the working iso. Thanks
Does it run full MS Office?
It can yes, although wouldn't count on it being very stable ))
I really think microsoft should just release the windows phone again but you know. Actually make it windows this time.
Hi David. Would you replicate this as a service if someone sent a phone for this? Looking forward to hearing back. Mark
