Incident Details:
At 6:39pm, Shelton Fire Department was dispatched to Bruce Dr for the reported structure fire with fireworks going off in the home. Squad-1 was the first on scene confirming the working fire, finding a 1 and a half story cape style residential with heavy fire showing from the garage. Fireworks and ammunition were also confirmed to be going off inside the garage. The fire quickly spread to the 2nd floor, and a 2nd alarm was called. Crews placed 3 hand lines into operation. The fire was placed under control in about 40 minutes. Crews remained on scene for an extended period of time conducting extensive overhaul and salvage opportunities. there were no injuries reported. The Shelton Fire Marshal's office and CSP are investigating the cause of the fire.

Glad that there were no injuries to anyone related to this incident, live ammunition going off can be a problem.
When I was a volunteer firefighter we responded to a fire and the owner had gunpowder in his basement and some of it went off while we were fighting the fire. But no one was injured.
