*Great News!* I made some improvements to the template including a FAST MONEY style round called "Quick Cash"! They aren't in the video because I did this after it was published but I have a new, updated instructions document that explains everything. Will hopefully have a demo of the new features out soon! Hi Jeff. You have a great product here! We recently played it at our Family Reunion. It was a huge hit. I created 13 games, each with 5 rounds. In 2 nights we only completed 5 games. At this rate we'll have content forever! 😊 I ran the screen while a relative hosted on a microphone. Both of us had printed copies of Q & A. I purchase inexpensive buzzers online. They are a "must have". Admittedly, I've spent a few hours entering/printing Q & A, but it's worth it in the long run. Thanks for a creating a very entertaining product. I highly recommend it! PS. We did not play the Fast Money Rounds. They are not needed for great team vs. team competition. Plus FMR's eat up a lot of Q & A (WORK!!!).
Thank you for sharing! That sounds awesome and I'm glad to hear everything went well! And, yes, I agree about the FMRs. I usually don't use them myself but a lot of people LOVE 'em! 😄
Hi! This is probably a stupid question, but is there a way to set up more than one game at a time, like saving one and putting in new questions on the next game, or do I have to play the first game in its entirety, end game, and input the next game's questions/teams?
Ok -probably a dumb question but does this version come with questions and answers already built in like some of the others I’ve seen? I like being able to edit but to save time I’m in need of one that already is packed with the Q&As. If not do you have such a version that has all the latest features you describe here?
Not dumb at all! This one does NOT have questions and answers built in. I have a version that does but it's in an older template without macros so it doesn't do the scoring. You can see what it looks like here: ua-cam.com/video/gm81GE6cG10/v-deo.html I am planning to create some with surveys already created in the newer template but just haven't done it yet. I need to get on that!😄
Hi Jeff. I’m doing a project that involves me making a game similar to family feud and I was wondering, what macro code did you use to make the point values?
I recently bought this, and so far I am loving my purchase. I can't help but wonder if you have a jeopardy powerpoint with the same team, music, text, and scoring system like in family feud, I tried to find some free ones but the don't have macros or teams or scores. and the ones for sale are too expensive. Anyways thank you for making such a affordable but magnificent product, can't wait to present to my class.
Thank you so much! I have a free Jeopardy template right now but, to your point, it does not have scoring, teams or music. I'm thinking that will probably be my next product release - a new Jeopardy with more cool factor. 😀
This is a great platform. Just downloaded and I am not receiving the prompts and also when clicking on the point value it is not being captured at the top. Any recommendations?
Also, In my PowerPoint I have a slide with 8 answer options, a slide with 7 answer options...and so on down to 2. Do I just duplicate the slide with 8 answers to make more slides with 8 answer options?
I tried this for the first time live with the group yesterday.. . Disaster! I did not keep my paper with the answers, so when the players said "banana!" I was not sure if that was numebr 3 or 5. PPT does allow for a presenter/presentee interface, can that be used to show me the answers (in the notes?) so I pick the right number? What if I was jsut the host and notthe creater? We found a work around with photos on a phone of each of the slides (10!) during edit mode. Is there a solution to this issue? other than that it worked wonderfully. PS. Fast money round?
D'oh! I hate when that happens! So, yes, I think using the notes and having it in presenter mode is a good idea. For me, I usually print the slides with the answers on them or I put the questions and answers into a Word document. But one way or another, you want to have some kind of cheat sheet to use as host. As far as a Fast Money round, it is currently the number one request I have been getting so I need to get going on that!
@@yourlearningcareer Thanks for the response. I dont know macros, is there one that could transfer the info from the slide on the right to the notes under the slide on teh left? Or is that going to be a manual effort?
For this, since it's Family Feud style, you have two teams and then you can have however many players you want on each team. So, in your case, I'd have teams with 3 - 4 players each. Does that help?
@@lis9483 Gotcha! It comes with a non-scoring version so, yes, you could definitely use that one and just remove the scoreboard. Also - I have a Jeopardy style game that lets you have up to six players/teams so that might be something to consider. shop.yourlearningcareer.com/collections/jeopardy-style-games
I would make sure to save it with a different name and then copy and paste slides in from the original template that have the number of answers you want.
With the scoring/macro one, it is limited to 10 rounds but with the non-scoring version of this template that comes with it, yes, you can add however many you want. I will be releasing an update very soon to the scoring version of this one that will allow the addition of more rounds. Stay tuned!
You can easily print the answers from PowerPoint by going to File-->Print and then printing from there. I'd probably select one of the Handout options. Now, as far as the questions, since those are actually located off of the slide, they won't print so you would either need to type them into something separately or, for just the host copy, you could delete the scoreboard at the top and paste the question there. You would just want to be sure to Save a Copy or Save as... and give it a different name so you don't mess up the main game.
You just need to duplicate the 8 answer slide for however many 8 answer questions you need. Feel free to email me if you have any other questions. Thanks!
Typically, you would just double click on the file and it will open (assuming you have PowerPoint installed). You can also open PowerPoint, go up to "File" and then "Open" and select the file from where it is saved.
@@yourlearningcareer Can you please help. I am looking for a functional version that works with Google Slides. I purchased a version that is not working properly. I did email you. Thanks!

I downloaded the PP template, but already it is not prompting me to input team names as it shows on your video. Please help!

Yes - exactly! Duplicate the slides that have the number of answers you need. Delete any you don't need.
I am going to get this for my residents in Assisted Living. Can I save it to a flash drive to use on a lap top?
Yes! You can save it onto the flash drive and then transfer to your lap top. I recommend saving it to the laptop and playing from there.
Hi just purchased the game, but “Enter Teams” is not showing. Is something missing?
It might be something with the macros - if you can email me, that would be best and I am happy to help troubleshoot.
@@yourlearningcareer Thank you, it was the macro, due to Microsoft’s macro security risk. Unblocked it, now works fine.

Can the scoring portion of version 2.0 template of Friendly Feud be interfaced with the previous version?
Sorry, no. The older version does not have the macros needed for scoring to work.
This is amazing!!!! Any chance I can change the number of players? I need 6-8. If not...is there a way to play without the players showing?

I'm not familiar with OBS but probably the safest bet would be to screen share if that is an option.

I’m trying to make mine from scratch but all I see are templates to buy
