    Love the mic review and glad you called out the fur industry as I'm someone who videos animal rights and welfare activists.
    It might be interesting to address these issues in video accessories and apparel ranging from wind screens to video gloves (many of the gloves with removal finger tips are leather, perhaps some are not).

      Thanks. Glad you liked it. Yeah I would like to continue adding some animal welfare information in videos. It's pretty much all I talk about on Facebook nowadays.

    I give the one I owned away. It was the only thing I asked for back. I didn’t realize how good of a microphone it was. It wasn’t until I was in the mastering process, and I got all the way back to track one. I prefer it over a blue dragon fly but I think it’s a tie with the Ashton Spirit, unless you want to record at a higher sample rate than 48khz. It has a tone that is colorful. I love the ability to be able to gain when on the iPhone or iPad. It fits in your pocket and has a bag and is well built. Plus nobodies going to steal it. It’s a great deal for 250. Way better than a baby bottle, less simblant than a dragonfly. Built in pop filter. If you get close to it as specified and utilize the gain your going to be amazed. With this mic your good with just a laptop, and you can even work wonders with simply a phone if that’s all you have. You better get one new while you still can because it’s slept on. I had an old shoe box from the Jordan’s when mj played with the wizards. It has a fabric inside it similar to suede. But what I do is open it and place the mic inside. The box opens like a briefcase. I place a towel on the top of the box and on the bottom and it sounds like I’m in an expensive facility. The only thing I know that sounds better is if I use a Ashton Spirit going into a 710 pre with a British eq, and a distressor set to nuke both as inserts. This thing for under 300 can compete with a 7k circuit. If you don’t have a studio this it.

    I have a problem connecting this to my iPhone 8 Plus. The light indicator is orange and does not work while connecting it to my PC works perfectly fine.

    Hi, where did you get the filter / fluffer? I can't find ones for the Blue Raspberry, thanks

      I reviewed it on my channel ages ago. It's made by WindCut for another microphone.

    Do you recommend for interviewing two people , podcast - me and guest as the blue yeti can get surround sound, both directions

    • @nitsan
      @nitsan  5 років тому

      Yeah this one is more directional so probably not ideal to have between two people. Might be fine if it's in front of both of you though.

    How do you listen from the microphone and listen to instrumentals?

    • @nitsan
      @nitsan  5 років тому

      Use only one side of the headphone I guess. Or use headphones that don't block external noise much. I think these are usually called open back headphones.

    I think it would look nicer with a ginger fluffer 😺

    Can this be connected to a Sony camera?

    • @nitsan
      @nitsan  6 років тому

      Yes any camera with a standard 3.5mm connection. You will just need to buy a cable. Just a normal headphone or microphone cable. 3.5mm to 3.5mm

    Hey, if any of you guys know how to connect this to an android device please tell me!

    • @nitsan
      @nitsan  4 роки тому

      I'd ask the company. I think it's possible with the right cable.

    I tried this but all I am getting is buzzing from the sound. I am trying it with a Canon M50?

    • @nitsan
      @nitsan  5 років тому

      Strange. Try in a different location far away from WiFi and mobile phones. And try a different per source as well.
      If that doesn't work then try the microphone going into a mobile phone and going into headphones. If there's still buzzing then I think it's a faulty unit.

      @@nitsan Hey. Thanks for the reply. It works fine with the phone. My camera would only allow a lapel mic with the 2 lines and not the 3. Does the USB mic need 3 exactly. I was going to buy a different audio in cable with the 3 lines today and see if that's it?

    • @nitsan
      @nitsan  5 років тому

      I think this mic uses a standard 3.5mm TRS cable. Not the TRRS with three lines.
      Might be best to ask Blue. They probably know what to do.

      @@nitsan Hey. I just wanted to check. So in this video your using the two line TRS?

    • @nitsan
      @nitsan  5 років тому

      Yes

    Seems to cost a bit more than an used Rode NTG2. Seeing as how using it on the field to record audio directly into the camera would, in a sense, be the same amount of hassle (as you would need a powerbank) as using an XLR mic with a preamp (such as a Beachtek unit, or the cheaper Saramonic stuff), what would recommend between the two routes?

    • @nitsan
      @nitsan  6 років тому

      Good points. If I could only choose one thing it would be a wireless unit or two. I don't have much use for a shotgun mic these days. For my uses I get much better results with wireless lav mics. The Blue is a nice way for me to record voiceovers, which I could also do with a lav mic, but the Blue works a little better with its headphone output and no need for additional batteries when going to my laptop.

    Hi! When I play back videos recorded with my i phone6 plus using my raspberry mic. The video is ahead of the audio and therefore unsynchronised. Any idea how i could solve this problem?

    • @nitsan
      @nitsan  6 років тому

      I would try recording in a different app. Otherwise, ask the manufacturer, maybe they know what to do.

    • @charliemcgettigan
      @charliemcgettigan 6 років тому +1

      Thanks for getting back to me. I sorted out the problem. Just in case anyone else has this problem. I plugged the mic into a powered USB hub. Then plugged the hub into a lightning adapter and plugged the adapter into the I phone. It works now. I figured the Raspberry wasn’t getting enough power to record fast enough so the powered hub gave it enough power to do it. Charlie
